A gran is urging people to stop blocking footpaths with their bins after her mobility scooter tipped over into the road and she broke her leg. Denise Aaron remains in hospital more than a week after the accident near Faversham Recreation Ground, which left her needing surgery on her fractured femur.

00:00I didn't feel the scooter wheel going onto the road but all of a sudden what I
00:05felt which was very frightening was just me and the scooter tipping over and I
00:09was on the road with a horrible horrible pain in one of my legs and the
00:18scooter up top of me. I wish the councils would find a way of
00:22dealing with bins on narrow pavements and one idea put to me by one of my
00:27daughters who works in Transport for London is and they're dealing with
00:31things like this you could have on the road actually the road a bin park and
00:38when the bin men had finished they could put them in this park and cars would have
00:43to find their way around them not pedestrians
