NU blanks La Salle for back-to-back UAAP women's volleyball titles
The National University Lady Bulldogs blank the De La Salle Lady Spikers in the UAAP Season 87 women's volleyball Finals Game Two, 25-19, 25-18, 25-19, at the Mall of Asia Arena on May 14, 2025 to sweep the best-of-3 series and clinch their second straight championship. Just like in Game One, Vange Alinsug delivered the back-to-back killer blows as her second straight bomb, a cross court attack, clinched the Lady Bulldogs' third title in the last four seasons. Alinsug finished with 10 points, six excellent digs, and three receptions for NU, which slowly pulled away from a 13-11 lead to put La Salle away. Three-time MVP Bella Belen flaunted another all-around effort as she pumped 18 points, 11 digs, and eight receptions in the match that drew 15,966 fans. Angel Canino racked up 12 points, 15 receptions, and nine digs to pace the Lady Spikers.
