00:00Welcome to another episode of the Goalmouth Action Podcast, where we have a look at all the latest goings-on at Brighton and Hove, Albion and Crawley Town.
00:07I'm Matt Poulton, this week I'm joined by Brighter Wright and Darren Howard, Sam Morton, who covers both the Seagulls and Crawley Town, as well as Red Devils expert Mark Dunford.
00:16Brighton maintain their push for a place in Europe next season with a 2-0 win over Wolves at Molyneux.
00:21We'll look back at that victory, plus we'll bring you all the latest team news ahead of Albion's home clash with recently crowned champions Liverpool, as well as all the latest from Crawley Town.
00:28You can read all the stories we were talking about, videos and pictures online at sussexworld.co.uk forward slash sport, and you can check out other great videos on shotstv.com and the freebie channel 262.
00:38You may also be watching on latest TV, so thank you very much for tuning in.
00:41But we'll start at Molyneux, where Danny Welbeck scored from the penalty spot before half-time, and substitute Brian Grudy grabbed his first goal for the club late in the second half to keep Albion's European push on track.
00:51By all accounts, Darren, it seemed like a good result and good performance against an informal side. What did you make of it?
00:56Yeah, they did pretty well. It was a good result, as you say, and it keeps them in the mix for European football now.
01:04It keeps them up in ninth place, two games to go, and they need eighth place, probably, to get the conference league spot.
01:12So in that respect, it was a good result and a good day for Brighton.
01:16The performance was a little bit patchy. They just don't seem to be quite at their best at the moment.
01:21They're not controlling the games as they do when they're at their best.
01:26The second half, in particular, was like, oh, we'll have the ball. We'll give it away.
01:30Wolves will have the ball. They'll give it away.
01:31And it was just, the ball just kept on being turned over, and it was all a little bit scrappy and a bit messy.
01:38But in the key moments, Brighton did very well.
01:41And credit to Bart Verbruggen as well, because he made a couple of really good saves, particularly in the second half, to keep the score, to keep Brighton in the lead,
01:51which allowed them then to go on and get the winner through Brian Gruder.
01:56So it was a good performance. And Danny Welbeck, again, he played quite well up front in Jao Pedro's absence.
02:04He served the last of his three-match suspension against Wolves.
02:09And Welbeck, you know, he did the business again.
02:11It was his tenth goal of the Premier League campaign for Brighton.
02:16And the first time he's ever reached double figures, which is quite a surprising statistic,
02:20considering how long he's been in the game and he's played for the likes of Man United and Arsenal as well.
02:26So, yeah, fair play to him. All credit to Danny Welbeck.
02:30And a special mention to Adam Webster as well.
02:32Lewis Dunk was a late absentee due to injury.
02:35Webster played his first match in about six or seven games, slotted in really well at centre-back.
02:41He played with a composure and a control, which Brighton had been lacking, you know, a lot this season.
02:48And a lot of credit goes to him for Brighton keeping a clean sheet.
02:53And it's now a big decision to make because Dunk is probably going to be fit to face Liverpool and Tottenham.
03:01But there's a big argument now for Webster to keep his spot after that one.
03:06Absolutely. As you mentioned there, Darren, Welbeck has hit double figures for the first time in a single Premier League season.
03:14And he is now one goal away from matching his most productive season across all competitions,
03:17when he scored 12 times for Man United in 2011-2012. Great moment for him, Sam.
03:22How big of a part has Welbeck played in Albion's upward trajectory since he arrived?
03:27He's been dogged without injury throughout his career, isn't he?
03:29It's good to see that he's kind of avoided that.
03:31Yeah, 100%. And Herzler made that point, actually, when he was asked about Welbeck.
03:36He just wanted to firstly thank the medical team that managed to keep him fit for so long.
03:42And he's played more games in the season than ever before.
03:45And he described him as a special character, a role model for the young players on the pitch and beside the pitch.
03:50And he's just really happy for him to have reached this record.
03:53And it's not the first time that I've been asked to talk about Welbeck in the podcast.
03:57And it just goes to show how often Welbeck is making himself a talking point.
04:00And it's great to see him reach double figures for Premier League goals.
04:04Obviously, he's been scoring goals for 17 years and he's now up to 77 in the Premier League.
04:11So, fingers crossed, he can get to 100.
04:14But I don't see why not, really, in the trajectory and form that he's on this season.
04:19He seems to be getting better with age.
04:21So, yeah, it's fantastic to see.
04:24And Welbeck, when he was asked about it, he said it's a good milestone to have.
04:28He feels like it could have been more because he scored his Premier League debut for Man United as a 17-year-old in November 2008.
04:36So, he probably feels in that time he could have scored even more goals.
04:39And, yeah, I think he's looking forward to improving even further.
04:42And he's looking forward to getting more goals even this season in the final two games.
04:46Just rearing off those stats there and those dates, Sam, just makes me feel incredibly old.
04:50Where does the time go?
04:51It's mad.
04:52Another two who started in the win at Wolves was midfield pair Mats Vifa and Brian Gruder.
04:57Both have struggled since their £25 million moves from final and mince, respectively.
05:02But Vifa now has three assists in his past four appearances,
05:05while Gruder's goal at Mourinhoe follows his two assists in the win over West Ham.
05:08Darren, how impressed have you been with those two in the past recent weeks?
05:12And have they suggested that they could potentially become key players next season for Albion?
05:16Yeah, it's been good to see.
05:19And I said in the piece afterwards, I did a piece on the video,
05:24and I think it's the best game that we've just had in the Brighton shirt since he joined from final.
05:30He's had so many injuries since he's arrived.
05:33Not major injuries, but real sort of niggling injuries,
05:36which have prevented him from finding a rhythm and getting on a consistent run since his arrival.
05:43But I think in the last few games, he's been playing at right back.
05:46He's obviously naturally a midfielder,
05:49but due to the injuries, he's slotted in at right back.
05:53And he's doing okay.
05:54Some games he admitted he's struggled,
05:57particularly when he's been caught out of position.
06:00He said he's adapting to the new role at right back.
06:04And he's very honest in his assessments of his own performances.
06:09And he's getting better.
06:11He's getting better in the right back position.
06:13And I think against Wolves, he defended well,
06:16but also importantly, he was a threat going forward as well.
06:20He won the penalty, which Welbeck converted,
06:23because he was pressing so high up the pitch.
06:27And then he forced the error and then was brought down in the box.
06:30So, yeah, credit to Weaver for that.
06:33And I think you're right.
06:34He is going to be a key player for Brighton next season.
06:39And I think you'll probably see him playing more in the midfield role next season,
06:44as long as he can stay fit.
06:47And as for Gruda, yeah, it was a really good goal as well.
06:52So a nice way to get off for the mark.
06:54He's had troubles again.
06:56He's had injuries as well.
06:58Still very young.
07:00But it was a good goal.
07:01It was the two substitutes that made the difference.
07:03Adinga came on, ran at the heart of the defence,
07:05and just slipped in Gruda.
07:07And he was so composed just to dink the ball over Jose Sarr,
07:11who was closing him down.
07:13And then he just collapsed on the floor.
07:16It was such a contrast between the composure he showed for the finish
07:20and then the outpouring of emotion afterwards that he saw.
07:24And it just shows what it means to him to get his first goal for Brighton
07:28after a tricky first season in the Premier League.
07:31And again, Herzl spoke about his resilience that he's shown
07:36to find his best form despite a lot of challenges this season.
07:42So interesting to see what happens to him next year.
07:45There is some fans think he should maybe have a loan elsewhere
07:49to get up to speed like Nciso has or like Guonanotte has.
07:55But my hunch is that he'll be in and around the first team again next season
08:00and become more of an influence on the first team.
08:04He's a class act.
08:06Yeah.
08:06Well, that result leaves ninth place Brighton hopeful
08:08of a second European campaign with two league games of the season remaining,
08:12as well as much depending on results elsewhere.
08:14Sam, what are the permutations for European qualification?
08:17And with Crystal Palace winning the FA Cup,
08:19potentially see a team miss out on Europe?
08:21How does that work?
08:22Yeah, it's a little bit complicated.
08:24So the Conference League spot is currently held by Newcastle
08:28for winning the League Cup.
08:29But if Eddie Howe's team finish the top six, which seems very likely,
08:33the Conference League spot would go to the highest-placed team
08:35that hasn't yet reached Europe, which could be as low as eighth
08:38if Manchester City win the FA Cup.
08:40But, of course, if Palace were to cause an upset there,
08:43that rules that possibility out.
08:45So another reason why Brighton wouldn't want Palace to win the FA Cup
08:49if there wasn't a big enough reason already.
08:51And if Chelsea finish outside the top six and win the Conference League,
08:55there will be three Europa League places, but no Conference League spot.
08:59So, yeah, a bit complicated.
09:00I think Brighton just had to make sure they do the business on the pitch
09:03in the final two games and finish, obviously, as high as they can
09:06and just see where that takes them.
09:09Absolutely.
09:09It makes for a thrilling end to the season.
09:11And finally, Brighton host recently crowned Champions Liverpool
09:13Monday night in their final home game of the season.
09:16The Reds haven't been at their best since winning the title,
09:19losing to Chelsea and then letting a two-goalie slip in last weekend's
09:21home draw with Arsenal.
09:23How do you see this one going, Darren?
09:25And what's the latest injury news from the Albion camp as things stand?
09:29Yeah, you're right.
09:30Liverpool seem to have, as you'd probably expect,
09:33Liverpool have taken their foot off the gas a bit.
09:35And, again, when you play these teams,
09:37it's often about picking them at the right time
09:40and getting these teams hopefully win there in a downward dipper form.
09:43And I think that could be the case for Liverpool.
09:46And hopefully Brighton will be really fired up for this one
09:50to their last home game of the season.
09:53So they're going to want to finish strongly at the Amex Stadium.
09:57And I think a real boost for them is having Giao Pedro back.
10:01It was a bit of a needless red card that he picked up at Brentford.
10:04And he's missed the last three matches.
10:07And I thought they've done pretty well without him.
10:09But against Newcastle, against the top teams,
10:12they really missed his presence against Newcastle, I thought,
10:16in the second half.
10:18And I think having him back and available for selection
10:21will be a big boost for Brighton.
10:23And just take a little bit of pressure off Danny Welbeck,
10:25who's played a lot of minutes in Pedro's absence.
10:29So I think that's a major plus for Brighton.
10:32Jorginho could also be an option as well.
10:34He's been struggling with an ankle injury
10:35since the FA Cup exit to Nottingham Forest.
10:39He hasn't played since then.
10:41And he's building up his recovery as well from there.
10:45And we'll get more of an idea.
10:47I think the press conference before the match
10:48will be on Friday afternoon.
10:50So we'll get more of a better indication
10:53that the team used them,
10:54where the likes of Joel Veltman were hoped to be available.
10:57And also Lewis Dunk will be assessed,
10:58as we touched on earlier.
11:00He picked up a small injury ahead of Wolves.
11:03So a few decisions to make,
11:05but some promising signs on the injury front
11:07for the last two matches of the season.
11:09Brighton will be keen to finish with a good victory
11:14at the Amex in their final home game of the season
11:16against the Champions.
11:18Absolutely.
11:18We'll bestle up to Brighton on Monday.
11:20We will take a short break now,
11:21but stay tuned as we will be discussing
11:23all things Crawley Town.
11:26Welcome back to part two.
11:27And Crawley Town have announced their retained list
11:29following the end of the 24-25 campaign.
11:32Mark Dunford, run us through said retained list,
11:34if you may.
11:36I always find it odd when they call it the retained list
11:38because it's retained and released, isn't it?
11:41There's normally more released than there is retained,
11:43but that's what they call it.
11:45So, but yeah, so we'll go through who's gone so far.
11:50So obviously the players returning to their parent club.
11:52Kamari Doyle's gone back to Brighton.
11:54Bradley Ibrahim's gone back to Hutter Berlin
11:57and Toby Stewart back to Portsmouth.
12:00I think you can say all three of those were a big hit.
12:03I know Toby Stewart only played a couple of games.
12:05We're going to get onto the goalkeeper situation
12:08in a bit, I think,
12:08but it would be good to see him back at some point
12:11because I think he really impressed
12:12in those last four games of the season.
12:15Released Sonny Fish, goalkeeper Jasper Shake
12:18and Tyrese John-Jules.
12:21And in negotiations are Dion Conroy,
12:24Harry Forster, Liam Fraser,
12:26Ryan Sanford, another goalkeeper,
12:28Jeremy Kelly, who we're going to get onto later,
12:30and Joy McKenna.
12:31So who's still left at the club and under contract.
12:36Joe, Joe Wallacott, Rory Feely, Charlie Barker,
12:39Max Anderson, Gavin Hollohan, Will Swan, Jack Rolls,
12:41Panucci Camera, Rashaan Hepburn-Murphy,
12:44Benjamin Tanimou, Armando Quiterna,
12:47Adi Adeyemo, Toby Malarkey, Anthony Papadopoulos,
12:50Josh Flynn, Tola Shawamni, Ben Radcliffe,
12:52and Louis Watson.
12:53So there is, if all those players stay,
12:56that is a good basis of a squad.
12:58And if they can get the likes of Conroy, Kelly,
13:01Fraser and all that signing new contracts as well,
13:05with a couple of additions,
13:06that's actually a really good squad going into next season.
13:10I know Scott Lindsay will still say they're underdogs,
13:12whatever happens.
13:13But yeah, no, there's, yeah, I think the general reaction to it
13:21has been no huge surprises.
13:23I think Jasper Shake is probably the biggest sort of disappointment
13:26for Corley fans because they never really got to see him.
13:29So, but yeah, no, it was an interesting list when it came out,
13:32but interesting without any real shocks, I would say.
13:37Sam, any surprises for you among the retaining list
13:39and what has the general fan reaction been to the announcement?
13:43Yeah, I think the general fan reaction has been,
13:45pretty much as Mark said,
13:46there are no massive, massive shocks.
13:48Obviously, it's sad to see some of those big hitters,
13:51the Lone Stars League,
13:52especially for Mario Doyle, who was a revelation.
13:55But obviously, as we know,
13:56he was always going to go back to Brighton
13:57and they might try and get it back.
13:59So I know there was a bit of some cheeky tweets
14:01during the season from Corley towards Brighton
14:03saying how much they asked for him.
14:05But yeah, it might be a bit too much for us
14:07to ask for him to come to League Two.
14:09When he was so good in League One,
14:11for his personal progression,
14:13he'd probably find it unlikely to come to League Two.
14:15But you never know.
14:15You never know.
14:16He might want to work with Scott Lindsay for even longer.
14:19So we'll see what happens there.
14:20But the one that surprised me the most,
14:22I know Mark will talk about it in more detail in a minute,
14:24was Jeremy Kelly,
14:24because we know that he'd obviously signed
14:26a contract extension for two years.
14:30So we're, yeah,
14:31I think wondering why he's on the list of negotiations.
14:34But I think Mark will explain that in further detail.
14:36But that was the one that had lots of people wondering
14:39what was going on into the reaction of the Corley Sound tweet
14:41announcing the retainer list.
14:43Everyone was asking,
14:43why is Jeremy Kelly not confirmed to be staying?
14:47So I'll leave Mark to elaborate further.
14:50Go on then, Mark.
14:50What's the story with Jeremy Kelly?
14:51It was a two-year contract extension last June,
14:54I believe.
14:55So yeah, what's happening?
14:57So his contract runs out in June 2026.
15:00So end of next season.
15:03Obviously, we don't know the ins and outs of his contract.
15:06But you'd imagine he'd had a relegation clause.
15:10So that's why they're discussing it.
15:12So they got relegated.
15:13He's free to leave if he wants to.
15:16That's if he's got that relegation clause in there.
15:18But it could be that he wants a longer contract.
15:20He wants a better contract to stay.
15:22We know how much Scott Lindsay loves Jeremy Kelly.
15:25We know how much Jeremy Kelly loves Scott Lindsay as well.
15:28So it's a funny situation, though,
15:32because, yeah, the fans,
15:33the initial reaction was like,
15:34what the hell is going on here?
15:35He's just signed a contract.
15:37Only Crawley could screw this up kind of thing
15:39and all that malarkey.
15:40Sorry, malarkey.
15:42Not bringing Toby into it.
15:45So, but he's, yeah,
15:48it seems like a strange situation
15:50when you see it like that.
15:52But, yeah, there are so many things
15:53that go on behind the scenes
15:54in people's contracts
15:55and that that we're just not party to.
15:57So you just have to,
15:59well, I know it's easy to say,
16:01but you just have to trust
16:02that hopefully Scott Lindsay and Wagme
16:04can do the business
16:06that they need to do with Jeremy Kelly
16:07because we love him
16:08at the Crawley Observer as well.
16:09He won our top award.
16:10Yeah.
16:11Won our Crawley Observer
16:13player of the year award this year
16:14since he joined it.
16:16Because I thought he was there.
16:17He feels like he's been there for so long,
16:19but he only joined in the middle
16:21of the previous season.
16:23January in 2024,
16:26that would be, wouldn't it?
16:27Yeah.
16:27Yeah.
16:27So he's only been here a year and a half
16:29and it just feels like he's been here
16:30so much longer,
16:31but he's had so much impact
16:32and he is so good to watch.
16:34He's, I mean,
16:35I've talked about it before,
16:36the way he turns players,
16:37such quick feet.
16:38And he see,
16:39and I remember Scott Lindsay
16:40saying to me,
16:41why he loves it,
16:41he seems to run faster
16:43with the ball
16:43than without the ball
16:44because he's not the quickest
16:46of players.
16:46But when he's on the ball,
16:47he just drifts past people.
16:49It's great to watch.
16:51So, and he's just a lovely bloke.
16:53I mean,
16:53I've interviewed him
16:54a couple of times
16:55and everybody will want him to stay.
16:58So hopefully they can get
16:59the business done.
17:01But yeah,
17:01like I say,
17:02the contracts,
17:03we've got no,
17:03we don't know.
17:04I've got no inside information
17:05on what his contract situation is,
17:07but you'd imagine
17:08it was a relegation clause.
17:10But I think of the other players,
17:12definitely you'd want to see
17:13at least Leon Conroy
17:15and Liam Fraser staying as well.
17:16Conroy,
17:17he's like Scott Lindsay's
17:19trusted lieutenant,
17:20a captain,
17:21et cetera.
17:22And Liam Fraser's
17:23been great coming
17:25and not having
17:26Jay Williams anymore,
17:27not having Bradley Ibrahim,
17:29having him as that pivot,
17:30breaking up play,
17:32being economical
17:32with the ball,
17:33et cetera.
17:35Yeah,
17:35he'd be key to keep on
17:37if they can.
17:38Otherwise,
17:38they're going to be a bit short
17:39in that key role
17:41that Scott Lindsay
17:42puts a lot of trust in.
17:43Yeah,
17:43absolutely.
17:44And I think they'll be in
17:44for a busy summer
17:45if they can't keep hold of them.
17:46But goalkeeper Jasper Shaikh,
17:48as we mentioned,
17:49was among those to be released.
17:51Well,
17:51fellow stopper Ryan Sanford
17:52is like Jeremy Kelly.
17:54He's among the players
17:55who are in negotiations
17:56over a new contract.
17:58Sam,
17:58considering the amount of issues
17:59Crawley have had
17:59in the goalkeeping department
18:01this season,
18:01are you surprised
18:02the Reds haven't tied
18:03these two down?
18:05Yeah,
18:05it's a strange one.
18:07The goalkeeping situation
18:08has just been
18:08very bizarre,
18:09as Mark spoke about
18:11a little bit earlier.
18:12I mean,
18:12Toby Stewart,
18:13as we mentioned,
18:14impressed in the final two games
18:15and he was the eighth keeper
18:16the rest of the years
18:17this season
18:17after Jojo Watercott,
18:19Eddie Beach,
18:19Jasper Shaikh,
18:20Matthew Cox,
18:21Timothy Lota Lala,
18:22Luke Hutchinson
18:23and Connell Truman.
18:25So,
18:25yeah,
18:26it is a weird one,
18:26especially with Jasper Shaikh
18:27because we saw so little of him,
18:29which there might be a reason for.
18:32He might not be quite ready
18:33and the fact that he's
18:33obviously departing
18:34might suggest
18:35that he wasn't quite ready for it.
18:36But,
18:37yeah,
18:37we never really got to see him
18:38and for the fans
18:39to make their own judgment
18:40and for us to see
18:41what he can do,
18:41really.
18:42So,
18:42yeah,
18:42shame in that sense.
18:43But I'm sure that would be
18:44one of the key priorities
18:45to get that goalkeeping
18:47situation sorted
18:48because
18:48that obviously is not
18:51sustainable
18:51to keep changing
18:52a goalkeeper like that.
18:53You need to have
18:54a keeper that you can rely on
18:55week in,
18:56week out
18:56and barring any injuries
18:59he will be your keeper.
19:00So,
19:01yeah,
19:01it would be interesting
19:01to see what happens
19:02in the summer
19:04but I'm sure,
19:04as I say,
19:05it would be a priority
19:06to get that sorted.
19:08Yeah,
19:08absolutely.
19:08And I suppose,
19:09Mark,
19:09there's,
19:10not that we know anything
19:10but there might not
19:11necessarily be a guarantee
19:12that Wolokop sticks around
19:13if a good bid comes in.
19:15Could be a case
19:15where they have no goalkeepers
19:16come July.
19:17Well,
19:17it could be,
19:18yeah.
19:18I mean,
19:18I know,
19:19well,
19:20I've been told
19:21by some good sources
19:22that there were bids
19:23for him in the January
19:24transfer window,
19:25I think,
19:25in the Twindon Town.
19:26So,
19:27but I don't think
19:29they could afford
19:29to lose him.
19:30If they would have
19:31sold him,
19:32it would have been
19:32an absolute shambles.
19:34It was a shambles.
19:35It would have been
19:36an even worse situation
19:37they would have been in.
19:38So,
19:39yeah,
19:39so,
19:39yeah,
19:40there could be a bid for him.
19:41They could,
19:41I mean,
19:42I know he wasn't
19:43the biggest hit with fans,
19:44Jojo Wolokop.
19:45He started the season
19:46really well,
19:47but then he added,
19:48yeah,
19:48his distribution
19:49and he struggled
19:50a little bit
19:50in the second half
19:52of the season.
19:52So,
19:53yeah,
19:53it'd be interesting.
19:54I know Scott Lindsay's
19:56a big fan of Jojo Wolokop,
19:57so we'll have to wait
19:58and see.
19:59But I know,
20:00I think they were keen,
20:02very keen on this,
20:03Matthew Cox
20:03that came in
20:04at a couple of
20:05really good games
20:06in January
20:07and then got this
20:08really bad season-ending
20:09injury
20:09at Bolton.
20:10So,
20:12it could be interesting
20:12if they try and pursue him
20:13again
20:14for a long-term loan
20:16or whether they can
20:17get to buy him
20:18from Brentford.
20:19Yeah,
20:19watch this space.
20:21Off the pitch,
20:22the Reds have also announced
20:23their season ticket prices
20:24ahead of the upcoming
20:252025-26 campaign
20:27with prices increasing
20:28to help fund
20:29a more competitive
20:30playing budget
20:31as a statement read
20:32on their website.
20:33Mark,
20:33what has the reaction
20:34been among the supporters
20:36to raise ticket prices
20:37and has this affected
20:38season ticket sales
20:39at all?
20:40I know it's still
20:40early doors.
20:42It doesn't seem
20:43to have done.
20:43I think Crawley fans
20:45have been very,
20:46very lucky
20:47and I mean,
20:47all the things
20:48Wagme have done,
20:49positive or negative,
20:50one of the most
20:51positive things
20:51were season ticket prices.
20:53They froze them
20:54for the last two seasons.
20:56This year,
20:57they've gone up
20:57in the West End
20:58by 15%
20:59and in all other areas
21:0110%
21:01and even after
21:02these changes,
21:03the prices remain
21:0410% lower
21:05than in season 21-22.
21:07So,
21:08it's still a really
21:09good,
21:10really affordable deal
21:12but they had to
21:12increase it
21:13and they said,
21:14like you said,
21:14they said they will
21:15put it back
21:16into the club
21:17and Steve Leap
21:18wrote in our
21:19column in our paper
21:21this week
21:21and on Sussex World
21:23about it saying
21:24if they are going
21:26to put it back
21:26into the squad,
21:27yeah,
21:28put the prices up.
21:29I don't think anyone
21:30can argue
21:33with the prices
21:33going up
21:34as long as there
21:34is a benefit
21:35to the playing squad
21:37and I think
21:37from what they've
21:38said,
21:39it looks like
21:40that could be
21:40the case.
21:41And sales-wise,
21:43they tweeted
21:43yesterday,
21:44the club
21:44or posted on X,
21:46whatever terminology
21:47we're supposed to use
21:48these days,
21:49that they're over
21:5020% of the way
21:51to beating
21:51last year's total
21:52and it's only day two.
21:54Keep this coming,
21:55Red.
21:55So,
21:56yeah,
21:56I don't think
21:57it's put anyone off.
21:58So,
21:58generally,
21:59I think the fans
21:59have been
22:00quite positive with it
22:01and don't begrudge
22:03any kind of prize
22:04because of how
22:05the cheap tickets
22:06they've had
22:07for the last couple
22:07of years.
22:08I think in future
22:09podcasts,
22:10Mark,
22:10we need a section
22:11where you read out
22:11Crawley Town
22:12corporate tweets
22:13because I could tell
22:13by the enthusiasm
22:14in your voice
22:14that you were
22:15delighted to read
22:16that out.
22:16Yeah,
22:17I think there was
22:19one about Carabao
22:19the other day.
22:20I'm sure I can
22:20read that out.
22:23If people aren't
22:26tuning in for next
22:26week,
22:27Mark,
22:27they're lost
22:28as far as
22:28we're concerned.
22:30As per usual,
22:31we'll wrap up
22:32the score predictions
22:32and as we all
22:33well know,
22:34Crawley Town's
22:35season is done
22:35and dusted
22:35so it's just
22:36Brighton and
22:36they're at home
22:37to Liverpool
22:37on Monday.
22:38Darren,
22:39how do you
22:39see this one
22:39going?
22:40Oh,
22:40a good positive
22:41performance to
22:42finish the season
22:43on.
22:43I'm going to go
22:43for a 3-1
22:45to Brighton.
22:473-1 Brighton,
22:47Sam.
22:48What do you reckon?
22:49It'll be a bit
22:49closer but I can
22:50also see a Brighton
22:51win,
22:512-1.
22:53Blimey.
22:54Can you sweep
22:54the wins,
22:55Mark?
22:56No,
22:57it's going to be
22:57I think it's
22:58going to be
22:59quite a dour
22:59draw really.
23:00I'm going to
23:00go for a
23:00one-all draw.
23:02Would Brighton
23:03take a draw,
23:04Darren?
23:06I think
23:06if they can
23:08get four points
23:08on their last
23:09two matches,
23:10I could still
23:11see them
23:12just about
23:14nick that
23:15eighth place
23:15but yeah,
23:17obviously it's
23:17in Fulham's
23:18hands but
23:18no,
23:20they need a
23:21win.
23:22It's the
23:22short answer.
23:23I was going
23:23to say,
23:24Sam Morton,
23:24you seem less
23:25convinced by a
23:26draw being a
23:26positive result.
23:28No,
23:28I think
23:28they've got
23:28to win.
23:29I think
23:29it's all
23:30very close
23:31and congested.
23:32Brentford are
23:32flying at the
23:34moment.
23:34I think
23:34Brentford
23:34obviously in
23:35the ascendancy,
23:35I think
23:36yeah,
23:36Brentford
23:37needs to
23:37keep
23:37in pressure
23:38on their
23:39last two
23:39games.
23:41Absolutely.
23:41Well,
23:42we've all
23:42just got to
23:42hope that
23:43Liverpool are
23:43on the beach
23:44on Monday
23:45so we'll
23:45wait and see.
