00:00Welcome to another episode of the Goal Math Action podcast where we take a look at all the latest goings on at Brighton Hove, Albion and Crawley Town.
00:07I'm Matt Pohl and this week I'm joined by Brighton writer Darren Howard, Sam Morton who covers both Albion and Crawley Town and Red Devils expert Mark Dunford.
00:14The English football season may be over but there's still plenty of matters to discuss regarding Brighton and Crawley Town.
00:19This week we'll discuss whether Albion boss Fabian Hurtzella has got the credit he deserves after his first season in the Premier League,
00:24what the Seagulls need to do in the summer transfer window and we'll bring you news of two new faces at Crawley Town.
00:30You can read all the stories we are talking about with videos and pictures online at sussexworld.co.uk forward slash sport
00:35and you can check out other great videos on shotstv.com and Freeview Channel 262.
00:39You may also be watching on latest TV so thank you very much for tuning in.
00:43Fabian Hurtzella guided Brighton to the club's second highest Premier League finish in his first season in charge.
00:48A points tally of 61 is only one shy of the campaign that delivered Europa League football wonder Roberto Di Zerbi with a little help from Graham Potter.
00:54But Europe just eluded the eighth place Seagulls on the final day of the season.
00:58On the face of things, Darren, you wouldn't say that's quite a good season, but obviously Europe's a big, big miss.
01:03How would you rate and sum up Brighton's 24-25 campaign?
01:08Yeah, as you say, it's disappointing to miss out.
01:11They achieved the eighth place finish, which looked out of the question, you know, before the final few matches
01:18and they had a strong finish to the campaign, which bodes well for next season.
01:23But missing out on Europe is a blow.
01:25Obviously, Crystal Palace scuppered their plans with their FA Cup victory against Manchester City.
01:32There was tentative talk that Palace could be in trouble because of the multi-club ownership with the Europa League,
01:37but they are apparently in talks with UEFA and are expected to compete next season.
01:43If there had been a problem, then Brighton would have been a problem and Palace will be fine.
01:51But in terms of Brighton's season, I agree with you.
01:54I think it's pretty good.
01:55They're second highest finished in their history, as you say, and that's no mean feat.
01:59And when you look at when Deserby achieved that sixth place finish, they had a midfield of McAllister, Moises Caicedo and Pascal Gross.
02:08So that's as good as you're going to get in the Premier League.
02:12And I think this season, that's been a real issue for Brighton.
02:16They've mainly played with, you know, Carlos Belieber, Jack Hinsfordwood and Yassi Nayari in that role
02:22and all great players in their own right, but that's still very young.
02:26And Belieber, it's his first full season in the Premier League, really.
02:30Yassi Nayari, he was on loan at Blackburn and Coventry last term in the Championship.
02:36And he's done extremely well to step up and become a regular in the team.
02:41And Jack Hinsfordwood as well, obviously still very young, learning his trade.
02:46And he's had a very good season.
02:47I think there's going to be more to come from those.
02:51But I think with the £200 million that they spent, probably only Jorginho Rutter and Yankouba Minte provided value for money.
03:00The rest, Ferdi Cadioglio, Matt Swiffer, O'Reilly, Brejan Gruda, they all suffered injuries and loss of form.
03:07And they haven't really got going as yet.
03:09So I think there's more to come from those players next season.
03:13So with all the change of manager, the change of players, I think an eighth place finish is very good.
03:21Lewis Dunk, obviously, he was missing for large chunks of the game as well, of the seasons.
03:30Too bad.
03:31But special mention to Danny Welbeck and Jean-Paul Van Hecker as well.
03:36I think those two have been excellent for Brighton this season.
03:39And they've played a massive part in finishing in eighth place, I think, this year, which is pretty good.
03:46Yeah, it is indeed.
03:47Do you think Hutzela's first season at Brighton, Sam, is a story that's perhaps under the radar?
03:52The youngest permanent head coach in Premier League history took his side to the brink of European qualification, as we've already spoken about.
03:57And as Darren has said, that's something that's only happened once in the club's history.
04:00But I've not seen him receive anything, by the way, of recognition, even in passing, other than from ex-Albion players or Albion supporters.
04:07Yeah, I think it has gone under the radar, actually.
04:11He's obviously achieved something, obviously, really impressive.
04:14Obviously, the second highest finish for Brighton.
04:17I know, obviously, that's not good enough.
04:18They want it to be the best.
04:21I said it to Bart Van Bruggen after the final match of the season.
04:24Just are they pleased and proud of how they've finished the season with the points tally?
04:28And he said, it's not good enough unless it's the best, which is the great mentality to have.
04:33And I think that definitely is replicated by Fabian himself.
04:38But, yeah, I do agree.
04:38I think it has gone under the radar, I think, obviously, when you consider everything that Brighton have had to deal with in terms of injuries and things like that.
04:45And having to, yeah, obviously, lots of key players and key parts of the season.
04:51They have done really well in the circumstances and are coming up against some really top-quality sides in the Premier League.
04:56And there's so much competition for places now.
04:59And I think to finish eighth is really impressive.
05:01And if it wasn't for Crystal Palace beating Man City in that FA Cup final, then they would have had European football.
05:07So, it very, very easily could have been an even more impressive season.
05:14And it was just a shame that it didn't go for Brighton from that point of view.
05:19But I think Hurts has done a great job.
05:21And I think he's only going to get better as well with some more signings.
05:25And hopefully he can keep players fit next season as well.
05:27That's a big if, obviously, because we know Brighton have really struggled to keep players fit over the last few years.
05:33So, if he can do that next season and get some more players in, the sky's the limit for him and Brighton.
05:39And, yeah, I'm really impressed by what I saw from him this season.
05:42I know there were a few bad results here and there as he's learning his trade and getting to know the Premier League.
05:48But I'm sure he's definitely learned from that and will make sure that he's ironed out any issues next season.
05:54Well, the transfer window opened on Sunday, albeit for 10 days initially,
05:58mainly so sides competing in the Club World Cup can get early business done.
06:01But it will reopen for the rest of summer on the 16th of June.
06:04Darren, this might be quite a broad question, but is there any area of Brighton's squad that needs improving?
06:08Or is it maybe just a case of holding on to key players being the biggest priority?
06:12How do you see things at this stage?
06:14Yeah, it's going to be a mixture of all of that, Matt, I think.
06:17And I think it's going to be a busy summer for Brighton.
06:19I expect a number of the fringe players to move on.
06:22They've got a huge, huge squad at the moment.
06:24When you look at all the lone players that they have coming back,
06:27they have big calls to make on the likes of Evan Ferguson, who struggled at West Ham on loan.
06:32Julio Nciso had a decent spell at Ipswich and then Facundo Bonote as well.
06:37They all returned from their loan.
06:39It'll be interesting to see what happens to those three.
06:43And also then in terms of the likes of Carlos Belieber, Karamatoma, Jal Pedro, Barth of Bruggan,
06:50that'll all be in demand this summer.
06:52And don't be surprised if bids arrive for Van Hecker as well.
06:56There was tentative talk of Newcastle being interested in Van Hecker previously.
07:02He's had an outstanding season.
07:04I think he's a very underrated centre-back in the Premier League.
07:07And out of those, the one I think will probably most likely go is Jal Pedro.
07:13I think he's been in and out of favour at Brighton this season.
07:17He's annoyed his teammates.
07:18He's annoyed the manager.
07:19He's annoyed the fans this season.
07:21But he's a brilliant player as well.
07:23So when he's fit and firing and in the mood, he's some player.
07:28And there will be a number of Premier League clubs who will be keen to take him.
07:31And I think Brighton paid £30 million to Watford.
07:37And if a bid came in, Brighton would seriously consider that.
07:47There's also been a number of reports linking Purvisya Stupinian to Manchester United as well.
07:51So that could be one to keep an eye on.
07:56In terms of incoming, Brighton have already signed Tommy Watson from Sunderland for £10 million.
08:00And also Greek prospect Stefan Tizimas for around about £22 million.
08:05And they'll hope to impress him pre-season and be in and around the first-team squad.
08:10So, yeah, there's potential there.
08:12But I think in terms of where they really need to improve, it's in the left-back and the right-back slots.
08:17Especially if Tarek Lamptey, as expected, is going to leave this summer.
08:20He's out of contract.
08:22Brighton have been linked with Southampton's Carl Walker-Peters.
08:26I think that could be a good move.
08:28He'll be on a free transfer.
08:30He can also operate on the left and the right flanks as well.
08:33So that could be one to keep an eye on.
08:36Although West Ham and Fulham are also said to be keen as well.
08:41So, yeah, plenty still to do.
08:44But in terms of the goalkeepers as well, James Beadle, who has been on loan at Sheffield Wednesday
08:48for the last couple of seasons, he's expected to complete a loan deal to Birmingham later this week as well.
08:57So that's one that's going to go through.
08:58It's an interesting situation with the goalkeepers, especially if Bart Verbruggen stays next season.
09:03You've got Jason Steele as a backup.
09:04Tom McGill, he signed a new contract last month.
09:07And then where does that leave Carl Rushworth as well?
09:10He's been linked with a move away.
09:12So, yeah, the goalkeepers, James Beadle, should be on the move.
09:15Carl Rushworth will likely move on as well this summer.
09:19So it's going to be busy.
09:20It's going to be busy, I think.
09:22Yeah, it sounds like it's going to be very hectic.
09:24And of the players Darren's mentioned there to potentially leave, Sam,
09:27do you think there's any one of those players who needs to go that maybe you don't think will feature next season
09:32or just to get some playing time?
09:34Yeah, I think, yeah, the main one that Darren's mentioned is Jao Pedro.
09:37I think he probably needs to go now after recent events.
09:42I feel like that's enormous certainty, I think, that he will move on.
09:48Obviously, Matoma's mentioned.
09:49He's one that Brighton would absolutely love to keep hold of.
09:52Us as Germans would love to see Matoma at Brighton for another season.
09:56And definitely the fans as well.
09:58So, yeah, it's interesting to see what happens with Matoma.
10:00But you wouldn't begrudge him a move if a Champions League club, for example, like Bayern Munich,
10:07as has been reported, if they were to come in for him, then I don't think many could blame him if he did move on.
10:12Because he's given great service to Brighton and do brilliant things.
10:15So I think he would be sent off with all the best of our world wishes in the world,
10:21a bit like Alexis McAllister was, I would imagine.
10:24But, yeah, time will tell.
10:25Lamptey, as mentioned, I think, yeah, he's definitely going to be off.
10:28It's just such a shame with him because he's just been constantly picking up injuries.
10:32And he's a real player there and there's a real electric talent that he has,
10:39especially in the early days of the pace that he had and the problems that he caused teams.
10:43And injuries really have lighted his career so far, which is a real shame.
10:48And hopefully, if he does move on, that he can stop getting those injuries
10:51and becomes the player that we know that he definitely can be.
10:54One that Darren, I don't think, mentioned was Simon Odinger, potentially.
10:59Not too many rooms about him at the moment, but I would be interested to see what happens with him.
11:04Is game time limited this season?
11:07A lot would depend on what happens with Matoma, of course.
11:09If Matoma does move on, Odinger might then see that as a chance to get back into the first team.
11:14But if Matoma does stay, I could see Odinger perhaps trying to get a move elsewhere to get some more minutes.
11:24So, yeah, I think, as Darren said, it's going to be a busy summer and lots of things can change.
11:28And there's lots of moving parts and things like that.
11:31So it'll be interesting to see how it develops.
11:33Finally, for part one, Darren, Sam has mentioned Matoma there.
11:39He's been linked with Bayern, as Sam mentioned, and Arsenal as well, according to Sky Germany.
11:45He's obviously linked with a big money move to Saudi Arabia in January, which didn't go through.
11:49But do you think the allure of maybe a Bayern or an Arsenal might be too much for Matoma during the summer?
11:57My hunch is that he probably will move on this summer.
12:00I think Brighton rejected the bid from him in January from the Saudi team, believed to be around £60 million.
12:10He's 27 years old now.
12:12He wants to play Champions League football.
12:14He's coming into his peak years.
12:16And I just think that a move now would be good for him and probably Brighton's last chance to get a really big fee for him as well,
12:24which they only paid £3 million for him when they bought him from Kawasaki Frontal.
12:30He came in as a complete unknown.
12:35Leandro Trossard was on that left flank.
12:37He moved to Arsenal, which then opened the door for Matoma to come straight into the team.
12:42And it was seamless.
12:43It was almost an upgrade on Trossard as well.
12:47He's been one of my favourite players to watch over the last few years.
12:50I hope they keep him.
12:52But as you say, there have been links to Bayern Munich, especially Liverpool and Arsenal.
12:57He's apparently a Barcelona fan.
12:59He had pictures of Lionel Messi on his wall, apparently, when he's back home when he wanted to become a footballer and is making all these plans.
13:08And his career plan is to play in the Champions League.
13:11And he's certainly good enough.
13:13He could grace that stage without any problem at all.
13:16I think he's a fantastic player.
13:18And if he does move on, it will be a sad occasion.
13:22My only concern is that Brighton don't really have a...
13:25When Trossard left, Matoma came in with equal talent, if not better.
13:30I don't think Brighton have that on the left flank at the moment.
13:33They've got Ibrahim Osman on loan at Feyenoord, who plays off the left.
13:36And it's not quite...
13:38He hasn't really indicated that he can do what Matoma can do.
13:42Tommy Watson came in from Sunderland.
13:44He's still very young.
13:45So there's potential there.
13:47And as Sam mentioned, Simena Dhingra as well.
13:49But whether he's at Matoma's level as well is debatable as well.
13:54He almost moved to Sunderland last January as well.
13:57So I think if Matoma does leave, Brighton would need to dip
14:00into the transfer market to strengthen that left-hand side as well.
14:04But, yeah, one to keep an eye on.
14:07It all sets up a very intriguing summer at the Amex.
14:10We'll take a quick break now.
14:11But when we return, we'll be discussing all things Crawley Town.
14:16Welcome back to part two.
14:17And Crawley Town officially announced their first signing
14:19of the summer last week.
14:20The Reds announced signing of midfielder Reece Brown
14:22on a one-year contract.
14:24The 29-year-old joins the club, having most recently played
14:26for Forest Green Rovers.
14:28Good to see the Reds getting their business done early, Mark.
14:31Tell us a little bit about Reece Brown.
14:34Yeah, he's an experienced player.
14:35He's a 29-year-old.
14:37And he's a product of the Birmingham City Academy.
14:40And he spent four years there.
14:42But while he was there, he had loan spells
14:44with Notts County and Chesterfield.
14:46He linked up with Forest Green for the first time in 2017.
14:49And that's when he would have first met our Scott Lindsay.
14:53And then he earned himself a place in the PFA League 2 team
14:57of the season that year.
14:59And then he went to Huddersfield and following their relegation
15:03from the Premier League.
15:04He joined them after they got relegated from the Premier League.
15:07Sorry.
15:07And then he had a loan spells at Peterborough.
15:10And yeah, and then went back to Huddersfield
15:13and then went back to Forest Green Rovers.
15:15So really experienced.
15:17He's a midfielder.
15:19And obviously, Scott knows him, knows what he can do.
15:24I know Sam's going to come on to what he said about him.
15:26But he's very happy to join the club.
15:29And he said, I'm really happy to be working with Scott again.
15:31And I hope we can achieve great things together.
15:33And we're going to talk about the transfer policy this summer in a bit.
15:37But it seems like a bit of a shift change there.
15:40And yeah, it's good to see Crawley bringing in some good experienced players
15:44and bringing them in early in the summer as well,
15:47rather than leaving it late until August when they've played three games already.
15:51So yeah, no, it looks like a good signing.
15:54It does indeed.
15:55Sam, how do you see Brown fitting into Lindsay's squad?
15:57Do you see him as a potential starter?
15:59And what did the Reds boys have to say about the midfielder
16:02upon his arrival at the Broadfield Stadium?
16:04Yeah, I think he will be a starter.
16:06I think he'll go straight into the team.
16:08Obviously, he's represented England at youth level.
16:11And he clearly impressed the management team at the Broadfield Stadium
16:13during his trial period towards the end of last season.
16:17And yeah, Scott Lindsay said,
16:18Reece is someone who I've worked with previously during my time at Forest Green Rovers.
16:22He's an outstanding talent who's very comfortable with the ball at his feet,
16:26can drive forward and also pass really well.
16:27He completely fits into what we are trying to do here at Crawley.
16:31He feels his potential didn't quite reach the heights it should have.
16:34So hopefully Crawley can be a platform for him to shine once again.
16:37He impressed all of us when he travelled with us at the back end of last season.
16:40So we delighted to have him on board.
16:42And Brown himself said he's very happy to join Crawley
16:44and excited to see what they can accomplish in the upcoming season.
16:48And he's really happy to work with Scott again
16:50and hoping they can achieve great things together.
16:52So yeah, I think it's an exciting signing.
16:54And I think he'll definitely go straight into that midfield.
16:57And just four days later, after unveiling Reece Brown,
16:59Crawley announced a signing of forward Harry McCurdy,
17:02also on a one-year contract.
17:03The 28-year-old, who netted 23 goals under Lindsay at Swindon
17:06during the 2021-22 campaign,
17:09spent the second half of the last season with Bromley.
17:12Sam, do you think McCurdy's red-hot season under Lindsay
17:14was key in getting this transfer done?
17:15And how excited should red fans be about watching McCurdy
17:19under Lindsay next season?
17:20If he gets those same sort of numbers, he'll be an instant hero.
17:24Well, 100%.
17:25100%.
17:26Yeah, he obviously recognised it in the League 2 team of the season,
17:29the Ward of the Swindon Town Player of the Year
17:31at the end of the 2021-22 campaign.
17:35More recently, he had a spell with the Burnian
17:36in the Scottish Premier League
17:38and spent the second half of the 24-25 season
17:41at League 2 side Bromley.
17:42Obviously, he had the second time of signing
17:45and after joining Crawley, he said,
17:46it's really nice to be here.
17:48It feels good to link back up with Lindsay again
17:49and hopefully he can get the boys promoted back up
17:51to League 1 and be a part of it all again.
17:53When I worked with Scott before,
17:54it was the best time I had in football.
17:56I mean, we had some good times together,
17:57so I'm hoping they can rekindle that feeling
18:00that he had at the time.
18:03Scott said, Harry's a fantastic talent
18:04and someone he's worked closely with before.
18:06The fans are going to love Harry.
18:08He's a great character and he can score and create goals.
18:10He's a signing that we really wanted
18:12and worked hard to get,
18:13so we're really pleased to get it over the line.
18:15I think, yeah, those comments from Scott
18:16say it all, really.
18:18They say more than I can,
18:20so I think that's really exciting again
18:22for Crawley and if he can score goals for them,
18:26I think that's only a bonus
18:28because that's what wins football matches
18:31at the end of the day
18:31and I think if they can follow up
18:33the momentum they had at the end of last season,
18:35I think they will definitely be in good stead
18:37to hopefully get promoted again.
18:38Yeah, absolutely.
18:40Well, looking at the two signings so far, Mark,
18:42there seems to be a shift in the transfer policy
18:44this summer, doesn't there?
18:45Do you think, considering the two players
18:47that we've mentioned and Crawley brought in
18:48have worked under Lindsay,
18:49that the Reds bosses maybe might have more control
18:52over transfers during the off-season?
18:55Yeah, it seems to be, doesn't it?
18:57Last year, I mean, obviously,
18:58last couple of seasons,
18:59we've seen big changes to the squads.
19:01This year, I don't envisage so much change
19:04and the fact that they've brought in
19:05two players that are over 25.
19:09Rhys is 29 and Harry is 28, I think.
19:13Yeah.
19:13And we haven't had that.
19:15We just haven't had that with Crawley Town
19:17in the last couple of seasons.
19:18Wagme have always said that they want to bring on
19:20sort of undervalued talent, basically,
19:24and to players with potential.
19:26But Scott coming back in, obviously,
19:29after what happened last year
19:30and obviously the relegation,
19:32I think you get the impression
19:34from the outside looking in
19:36that Scott has had a lot more say
19:38in what he wants.
19:38He wants players that he knows.
19:41Yes, they will look at the data,
19:43I still think,
19:44because Wagme have that data model.
19:46But I think Scott knowing the player
19:49will have a big, big say on who comes in.
19:52And to have that experience as well,
19:54they're obviously looking to do well
19:55in League Two next year.
19:56I think there will be another playoff push.
19:59They won't say that outwardly,
20:00but I think that's what they will want to do.
20:03And bringing in these two players
20:05with experience,
20:06with a great track record,
20:08is a real marker, I think.
20:10And yeah, it shows that Scott's having
20:12an influence on the transfers.
20:14I mean, last year,
20:15I was chatting to someone yesterday,
20:16we were talking about fixture release day.
20:18It was just kind of awkward
20:20because Scott came to fixture release day,
20:23so did Liam Kelly.
20:24And within two days of Liam Kelly
20:26doing a big interview about how much
20:27he's looking forward to the season,
20:28he was sold.
20:29And it was all, yeah,
20:30it was all a bit awkward.
20:31Now, I don't think we're going to have
20:32that kind of awkwardness this year.
20:35I think it's going to be,
20:36these are the players I want,
20:37go get them for me,
20:39from Scott to Wagme.
20:40And hopefully,
20:42the squad will be good and strong
20:45and similar to last season
20:46because I think they will have a good year
20:48if they are.
20:48By all accounts,
20:50the negotiations with Jeremy Kelly
20:53and Liam Fraser are still ongoing,
20:54so we don't know whether those two
20:56will be here.
20:57But if you've got Rhys Brown coming in,
20:59that covers the sort,
21:00covers one of those two
21:02if they don't stay.
21:03So, yeah,
21:05it's interesting.
21:06It's got to be an interesting summer
21:07to see how many more will come in
21:09and how many more will go.
21:10But I don't think we'll see
21:11as much as last year.
21:12Meanwhile,
21:14Corley confirmed the club
21:15will be jetting off to Spain
21:16for a pre-season camp
21:17ahead of the 25-26 League 2 campaign.
21:21Tell us a little bit
21:22about this trip, Mark.
21:23What did Lindsay have to say about it?
21:25And are we bracing ourselves
21:26for a Sussex World jolly to Spain?
21:29I don't think we're doing that,
21:30unfortunately.
21:30I mean, I've even bought a shirt.
21:32I mean,
21:32they were selling them off to me yesterday,
21:33so I went and bought a shirt.
21:35I had to buy a very large shirt as well,
21:37very tight,
21:37come on the side.
21:38They're just going to buy one.
21:40But, yeah,
21:41they're going to the Pinotar Arena
21:42and they went there in 2022
21:44and they're going there
21:46for a seven-day warm weather training camp
21:49and they depart on June the 30th
21:50and return on July the 6th
21:52ahead of their first friendly.
21:55It's, yeah,
21:55I think Scott sees this as a chance
21:57to really bring the team together
21:59and bring the squad together.
22:00You'd imagine
22:01there'll be more signings
22:02coming in before then.
22:03I remember last time round,
22:05I think they signed Corey O'Day
22:06and interviewed him
22:07on a hotel rooftop in Spain.
22:09So, maybe we'll see more of that
22:11while they're out there.
22:13He said,
22:15I think it's really important
22:16that we get the group together
22:17quite early
22:17to go away
22:18and get some hard training in.
22:20They're going to play a game
22:21while they're out there.
22:21The opponent hasn't been confirmed yet.
22:23But, he said,
22:24culture and togetherness
22:25are vital in the world of sport
22:27and I believe culture
22:28and the way that
22:29everybody works together
22:30can be enough to win promotion.
22:31So, it worked
22:33that previous season,
22:34didn't it?
22:34They didn't go away last year
22:36to have that warm weather training
22:37and I think that was another part
22:39of Scott coming back.
22:40I think he wanted the assurance
22:41that he could have this trip
22:43to really bind that team together
22:45and really set them up well
22:46for the campaign ahead
22:48and I think it will.
22:49I mean,
22:50all the signs at the moment
22:51with the transfers,
22:53with this training camp,
22:54everything is pointing towards
22:55hopefully a very positive season
22:57for Crawley Town.
22:58The Reds also announced
22:59their pre-season itinerary
23:01last week.
23:02Crawley will play their first game
23:03on Friday,
23:03the 4th of July
23:04before concluding
23:05their pre-season schedule
23:06at the Broadfield Stadium
23:07on Friday,
23:08the 25th of July.
23:10Who will be the Reds meet?
23:11Who will be,
23:11I can't even say it,
23:12who will the Reds be meeting
23:13over the Sun and Sand
23:14once I've got my teeth in?
23:15Any fixtures in particular
23:16that catch your eye?
23:18Yeah,
23:19so the Reds will kick off
23:20their pre-season campaign
23:21with a trip to local side
23:22Fruit Bridges
23:23on Tuesday,
23:238th of July.
23:25The club's first home fixture
23:26comes against
23:27Championship side Portsmouth
23:28on Saturday,
23:29the 19th of July.
23:31The opponents
23:32for the fixture in Spain,
23:34the March has mentioned,
23:35will be announced
23:35in the coming weeks
23:36so it's not being confirmed
23:37just yet.
23:39But there's also,
23:40there's also games
23:40against East Grinstead
23:41away on the 12th of July,
23:44Dagenham and Redbridge
23:45away on the 15th
23:46and a Behind the Closed Doors
23:48match away
23:49at Southampton
23:50on the 22nd of July
23:52and the final match
23:53is to be announced
23:54on Friday,
23:55the 25th of July.
23:56It'll be a home,
23:57a home match
23:57which will also be announced
23:58in due course.
23:59So yeah,
24:00a few interesting ones there.
24:01I think the Portsmouth match
24:03will be an interesting one
24:04and playing against
24:05obviously,
24:07playing against
24:08obviously the Championship side
24:09will really test
24:10cruelly out there
24:12and obviously
24:13Southampton,
24:14Southampton away
24:15will be a good one
24:16to look forward to
24:17as well.
24:17So yeah,
24:18plenty to be excited about
24:20and be interested
24:20to see
24:21what signings
24:23come in for them
24:23and obviously
24:24there'll be a first look
24:24at the new players
24:26that come in
24:26in these friendlies.
24:29Absolutely
24:29and no score predictions
24:31obviously
24:31unless we're desperate
24:32to do
24:33was it England and Dora
24:34on Saturday?
24:35Is there any interest
24:35in that whatsoever?
24:37Oh gosh.
24:38I'll take that as a no
24:39then.
24:39We'll wrap it up.
