On CNN, Gov. JB Pritzker (D-IL) said that President Biden should have remained the 2024 Democratic presidential nominee.

00:00Look, all this stuff about his health or, you know, commentary that people are making in books,
00:05frankly, that's very backward looking.
00:08I think the one thing that I would say is that certainly either he needed to be the Democratic nominee
00:14as he promised he would be, or he needed to drop out before the Democratic primaries, right?
00:21You can't have, and I learned this when I ran for governor,
00:24if you're going to have new people running, right, you've got to be able to run in a set of primaries
00:29so people can see you operate, they get to know you during a set of primaries.
00:33Remember, when he dropped out, when Biden dropped out and essentially asked Kamala Harris to step up,
00:39which was the right thing to do if he's going to step away, people didn't know who she was.
00:44And with 108 days left, it was near impossible for her to introduce herself.
00:49If you asked 100 people on the street, do they know who the vice president is, most people have no idea.
00:54And they didn't know much about Kamala Harris, honestly.
