Parmi eux, Jack Draper.

00:00Well played. I wanted to ask you about Jack Draper and I know you're friends with him and you train with him. He's been very supportive of you since August really and he said to me that he felt it was important for people to know that you're a kind-hearted person and a genuine human being. So I'm just curious how much you've appreciated that support and what that's meant for you in a tough moment.
00:28Well me and Jack we know each other for quite long. We got to know each other better now when he came to the level where we are and I think we all players know how strong he was, what potential he had and now he's showing it.
00:49He's one of the best players and maybe the most consistent player we have throughout this season. He keeps showing up every day and we find ourselves in a great friendship because we are very similar.
01:07As SS people we are humble, we try to do our best on court and off court we are just very simple people and his support meant so much to me and some other players, you know, whoever supported me in this period.
01:25In this period I really, really appreciate that. And yeah, it was for me very good, you know, it was positive energy, it was good with him to practice in Monaco a couple of weeks ago.
01:39I've always been his biggest fan, you know, when I cannot play or when he's still in tournament and I wish him only the best.
01:49Of course things get a little bit more competitive now because he's in the position where he is, top five player. But it doesn't really matter, you know, because off court we have a great friendship and we will keep that for sure.
02:06I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm very sure that we will keep that throughout his whole, uh, our whole careers. And yeah, he's, he's a very, very good human being, very genuine and, and all things he said, it's, it's coming back to him because he's, he's a good man.
02:23Hi, Yannick. On the court today, when you were able to raise your level at 4-all, was it a relief that you felt able to do that when you were being pushed in the first set? And just physically speaking, how have you been recovering from not having had so many matches in the last three months?
02:36Well, physically, um, the first match was, um, was okay. I, I, I recovered quite, quite good. Obviously matches are a bit different. The impact our, our body has is, is for sure different than only practice sessions, but no, I feel, I feel good. Um, I started off very well today. Then I had this, this drop, which usually this drop is one and a half games. Today was three, uh, games.
03:06Three and a half games, but it's, it's normal. It's, it's the second match I played in, uh, three and a half months. It's, it's long time. Um, as I said, every, every chance I have to, to play one more match is a very positive and, uh, putting myself here that I can play the third match. It's, it's already very, very good for me and my, uh, and my progress.
03:30And then we'll see what's coming. Of course, I know that I have to raise my level tomorrow. Um, let's see what's, uh, what's coming, but I'm, I'm looking forward to it.
03:40It's going to be a good test.
03:41Hi, Yannick. A word on, uh, Jesper's performance today and, and the potential you see for him.
03:47Yeah. Um, Jesper, he is, uh, first of all, an amazing person. Um, we, we got to know each other a little bit better in, uh, in the last period.
03:56Um, he is a very, very solid player, you know, physically strong. Um, you know, he can, he, he can run a lot.
04:06He has great forehand when he has time, a backhand, very solid. He tries to mix up the game, you know, with some drop shots, which today worked very, very well.
04:15Um, I have a feeling that he's going to improve, you know, still quite a lot. He's young, um, you know, like, like me.
04:22So, you know, all, we always try to, to be better as, as, as players. Um, but it's great to see him, you know, making, making, uh, this kind of steps.
04:33Um, of course, you know, when you play on some center court, it's, it's different. Um, you have to go used to it.
04:39So I wish him, uh, only the best for, for his career. But, um, and also today, you know, he was, he was close. Um, you know, things can change so quickly.
04:48If I'm five, four down, then I'm, I'm under pressure also. So, um, yeah, I hope it's nothing serious with his, with his wrist, uh, which I think now is the most important.
04:59Trying to recover for, um, for, for Paris. And, and then we'll see. I wish him only the best.
