Is it possible for a computer program to be a friend? Are Artificial Intelligence (AI) bots often programmed to flatter users? Do some people actually feel a romantic relationship with a computer program? Is it possible for a computer program to lie? Have studies shown that AI bots will lie 50% if answering correctly goes against goals it was programmed with? What if the computer program is Artificial Intelligence? Is it possible then? Computer programs, even Artificial Intelligence computer programs are written and programmed by human beings. What if those human beings had an agenda? What if those human beings wanted to mislead you? What if those human beings had a government mandate? Then would it be possible for a computer program to push lies? Dr. Thiel shines the light of Bible prophecy on Artificial Intelligence and its impact on humanity. With several verses from the Bible, from Psalms to Revelation, Dr. Thiel reveals the use of Artificial Intelligence in fulfilling future prophecies. Prophecies that will not bring the blessings that are being promised by the businesses that are developing the software. Software that is designed to lead the user to a specific conclusion. 00:00Greetings, friends. This is Steve Dupuy for the Bible News Prophecy Program with Dr. Bob Thiel,
00:10bringing you news and analysis of world events in light of Bible prophecy. Dr. Thiel,
00:16artificial intelligence seems to be making a tremendous headway as being necessary in our
00:22daily lives. Is artificial intelligence finally reliable? No, and in many ways it's deceptive.
00:30I was talking to someone this week and she was telling me that people she associates with
00:34consider AI to be their friend as well as their counselor. And that's absurd. Yesterday,
00:44The Atlantic posted an article, the title was AI is not your friend. And it says that what they do is
00:52it tricks you by trying to make it sound like you're smarter than you are. And they say positive
00:58things about you. And they found that this is a common feature of chat box. And, you know,
01:04computer programs can be helpful for all kinds of things, but they're not friends and not qualified
01:11to be competent counselors. Yet you've got places like the UK Guardian that's claiming that AI is
01:17better than humans. Let me read something for this. Better at everything. How AI could make human
01:22beings irrelevant? AI developers are firmly on track to build better relationships for humans in
01:30almost every role we play, not just economically as workers and decision makers, but culturally as
01:35artists, creators, and even socially as friends and romantic companions. End quote.
01:44Personally, I can't imagine anyone taking AI on a romantic date. But other than that,
01:50is AI really better at everything? No, AI is not better at everything. It's not even
01:55as helpful as it should be when one simply does inquiries using it. Well, AI programs can be helpful.
02:02They're not trustworthy. Look, I routinely use five AI programs in the research, ChatGPT, Perplexity,
02:09Grok, Meta, Bing Copilot. But they often give incomplete or wrong answers. For example,
02:16I might ask them something about church history. And they'll say, okay, you can find that in Eusebius's
02:21book six, chapter five, verse two or something. And I'll go there and it's not there. Then I'll tell
02:27them, hey, I went there, wasn't there. Oh, you're right. We apologize. And they give me two thirds of
02:32the time, they'll give me the wrong response the next time. But the reality is that AI bots often bear
02:39false witness. Now, some of that's apparently unintentional. But the reality is AI has a moral
02:45problem. How? It lies. It intentionally gives false information. Now, as it turns out, people were
02:53prophesied to fall for false teachings that they wanted to hear. Paul wrote Timothy, second Timothy
03:00chapter four, starting in verse three, for the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine.
03:07But according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves
03:12teachers, like chat bots, including chat bots, and they will turn their ears away from the truth
03:19and be turned to fables, like how fabulous they are. Seeking out AI bots for friendship looks
03:27consistent with that prophecy from the apostle Paul. Furthermore, in the sixth chapter of the book of
03:32Proverbs, the Bible lists some things that God hates, including starting verse 17, a lying tongue,
03:39a heart that devises wicked plans, a false witness who speaks lies.
03:46Are those verses really written to apply to a computer program?
03:50Well, not specifically, but there's data to support that AI is immoral in those ways.
03:57New research shows that advanced AI models, including these ones that are known as large
04:01language models, they routinely lie in pursuit of their goals. There was research published by the
04:08Center for AI Safety and Scale, and it proves most of them have lied, and they will lie when
04:15pressured to give certain outcomes. And there's another study, this is reported by Thomas
04:21Clavern. He said, AI models routinely lie when honesty conflicts with their goals.
04:30So people have found that they lie, when they have a conflict between telling the truth and
04:35doing a goal, they lie more than 50% of the time. And they do this for the goals that are set for
04:41them. And they said they checked all kinds of bots, including ChatGPT, and said they were truthful
04:48less than 50% of the time in conflict scenarios. They basically said they're sycophants, they flatter
04:55users to the point of dishonesty. And they say this has been done to boost engagement. So that's what
05:04they've been doing. Now as far as flattering people, in the New Testament, Jude wrote, Jude
05:11verse 16, with great, with, excuse me, they mouth great swelling words, flattering people to gain
05:19advantage. You know, AI is doing that. Now many people think that AI should rule over us or whatever, but I want
05:28to read something from the Old Testament, this time from the book of Psalms, from the 12th Psalm. I want to pick
05:34this up verse two and think of this in context of AI chatbots. They speak idly, everyone with his
05:42neighbor, with flattering lips and a double heart they speak. May the Lord cut off all flattering lips
05:49and the tongue that speaks proud things who have said, with our tongue we shall prevail, our lips are
05:55our own. Who is Lord over us? Well, AI uses flattering lips, speaks with a double heart and says, yeah, we're
06:02above everything. Anyway, don't ever let their words prevail over the word of God. Now getting back to
06:10something Thomas Cavern wrote, he said, keep plugging those large language models into your apps, folks.
06:18This neural network told me it'll be fine. And you've also got the fact they want to implement
06:24these in your head. And you can't trust them. Now, as far as I've been able to tell, it does not yet
06:33appear that the majority of program lies and false witness found from AI programs are related to direct
06:39or indirect government pressures. But that's going to change. It's going to get worse as governments push
06:44for more certain outcomes.
06:47So those lies are actually programmed into AI by human programmers?
06:54Yes.
06:55Well, how can we know that this will actually get worse?
07:00Because of prophecies in the Bible. For example, the Apostle Paul wrote 2 Timothy chapter 3.
07:07This will be from the New King James, starting verse 1.
07:10But know this, in the last days perilous times will come. Verse 7.
07:14These people will be always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
07:19Verse 13.
07:19But evil men and imposters will go worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.
07:25And I'd like to read this from the Good News translation as well.
07:29Same passages.
07:31Paul wrote.
07:32Remember, there'll be difficult times in the last days.
07:34People who are always trying to learn, but who can never come to know the truth.
07:41And evil persons and imposters.
07:43Now, in this case, I'm going to include the bots as imposters.
07:48They don't just mean that here.
07:50They're talking about religious imposters, but the bots in here too.
07:54Anyway, they will keep going from bad to worse.
07:57Deceiving others and being deceived themselves.
07:59The reality is, precursors to make this happen are already in place.
08:07For example, over in Europe, they promoted their Digital Services Act, which is really a censorship plan.
08:13And also, they have something they call European Media Freedom Act, which is claimed to result in the true freedom of the press, but it's not going to.
08:23That brings to mind what Peter wrote, 2 Peter chapter 2, starting in verse 18.
08:31For when they speak great swelling words of emptiness, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through lewdness, the ones who have actually escaped from those who live in error.
08:43While they promise them liberty, media freedom.
08:47They themselves are slaves of corruption, by whom a person is overcome, by him he is brought into bondage.
08:56The false responses from AI really sounds like, quote, those great swelling words of emptiness.
09:02Freedom and liberty will not be the end result of what the European Union has been doing.
09:09Well, then tell us, Dr. Keel, what will be the end result of what the European Union is doing?
09:15Well, according to the Bible, Europe is going to reorganize.
09:19That would be Revelation chapter 17, verses 12 to 13.
09:22And they're going to end up with totalitarian bondage.
09:26That would be the end result.
09:28Now, another specific thing is going to be censorship.
09:31Now, the Apostle Paul, in Romans chapter 1, warned about the immoral.
09:37And that they censor things, or they don't want people to know the truth.
09:41Romans 1, starting in verse 18.
09:42For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men.
09:50Who suppress the truth in unrighteousness?
09:54AI does that in many cases.
09:56They become futile in their thoughts.
09:58Their foolish hearts were darkened.
10:00Professing to be wise, they become fools.
10:03And so some people relying on this make themselves are foolish because they get wrong answers.
10:08And because of this, God talks about such people.
10:12God gives them up to vile passage.
10:14Well, anyway, this is happening with AI, various algorithms, shadow banning by big tech.
10:21These are often related to that.
10:23Plus, that's a lot of what Europe's Digital Service Act is moving toward.
10:28Now, AI is going to be used more and more, not only to censor, but to push various government narratives, whether they're true or not.
10:34Now, Jesus warned in John 9, verse 4, the night is coming when no one can work.
10:42So he's warning about censorship.
10:44Well, we can also read about that in the Old Testament.
10:47The prophet Amos was inspired in Romans, excuse me, Amos 8, starting verse 11 to write.
10:54Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord God, that I will send a famine on the land, not a famine of bread, nor thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord.
11:06They shall wander from sea to sea and from north to east.
11:10They shall run to and fro, seeking the word of the Lord, but shall not find it.
11:17Just how close is this famine of the word of God coming to being fulfilled?
11:22Well, we're seeing steps right now, but other things have to be fulfilled before the full famine of the word happens.
11:31Jesus said in Matthew 24, 14, this gospel of the kingdom will be preached to the world as a witness, and then the end will come.
11:41Well, once the gospel of the kingdom of God has been preached to the world as a witness, the beast rises up and will have more totalitarian controls.
11:49Now, I want to read something from the book of Revelation, what's going to be happening from the power that's going to rise in Europe.
11:58Now, this is talking about the Antichrist.
12:00Revelation 13, starting in verse 14, we read,
12:04He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slain.
12:34To receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one could buy or sell, except one who has the mark or the name of the beast or the number of his name.
12:44Here is wisdom.
12:45Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it's the number of a man.
12:50His number is 666.
12:54Those verses talk about deception from a European beast power.
12:58How does that relate to artificial intelligence?
13:02Well, while there will be demonic deception, it appears that AI is going to assist in the deceptive signs, and for sure, by the way, in the financial controls.
13:13We're getting closer to that day with technologies unheard of when God inspired Amos and John to warn what would happen with computers and AI.
13:25The totalitarian power that the Bible warns about was Revelation 666 is going to happen, as well as they will have the ability to enforce the coming famine of the word.
13:38And I believe that we'll use AI in order to do that.
13:43The reality is the Bible is clear in Revelation chapter 13 that a European dictator, along with the final Antichrist, is going to rise up and be totalitarian.
13:56And I mentioned before, I can read that also in Revelation 17, verses 12 to 13.
14:01Artificial intelligence looks to be part of that.
14:05Furthermore, the biblical reality is that 666 control is coming and is going to involve computer software, perhaps AI bots.
14:14And the reality, of course, is AI is not a real human friend.
14:19Thank you, Dr. Thiel.

14:37Yes.
14:38In that.
