00:00We have some executive orders that we're going to be signing right now that are very important.
00:04They're really re-dos from some horrible mistakes made by Biden and his group.
00:12And we're changing them back so that we can lead a normal life, a good life.
00:17And they're actually very important.
00:19And from the standpoint of lifestyle, they're very important.
00:23So I'd ask Will to maybe explain them.
00:25And we'll ask some of our congressmen and senators to say a few words, please.
00:30Yes, Mr. President, as you said, we have four bills for your attention today.
00:34These are bills that have been passed by Congress in the closing days of the Biden administration.
00:38They've pushed through a large number of rules and regulations that really hurt ordinary Americans, including in their own homes.
00:46So the first of these is H.J.R. 20.
00:48This is a bill that repeals Biden-era regulations relating to consumer water heaters, consumer gas-fired water heaters.
00:57Who is in charge of this one?
00:59This is Gary and myself, Sarah.
01:01Gary Palmer sponsored it.
01:02But this bill specifically saves a factor in my district.
01:07300 Georgians will continue to have their jobs as soon as you sign that.
01:10Mr. President, this rule was issued on Christmas Eve.
01:15I'm thinking that we wouldn't be keeping up with what the Biden administration is doing.
01:19But we moved quickly to get this going.
01:21And this was on gas heaters.
01:23Banning natural gas.
01:25Isn't that ridiculous?
01:26Isn't that ridiculous?
01:27And how were you supposed to get your heat then?
01:29Through electric.
01:30Through electric.
01:31Yeah.
01:32Was that basically it?
01:33That's right.
01:34Electric heat?
01:35Which isn't as good.
01:36All right.
01:37Crazy.
01:38Hey, Gary.
01:39Hold that up.
01:40Brian, hold that up.
01:41You guys were great.
01:42Thank you, Mr. President.
01:43No sense.
01:44Just no sense.
01:45But in addition to that, you have a lot of workers that lose their job, right?
01:47Yes, sir.
01:48300 workers saved because of you.
01:49Crazy.
01:50Good.
01:52It's an honor.
01:53There's the Golden Dome, by the way, if you're interested.
01:55There's the Golden Dome.
01:56That'll save all your lives someday, maybe.
01:57Okay, good.
01:58Thanks, Brian.
01:59You hold it.
02:00You hold it.
02:01I'm going to hold it.
02:03I'm going to hold it up.
02:04I'm going to hold it up.
02:05You guys were great.
02:17Thanks, Brian.
02:18You hold it up.
02:19Yes, sir.
02:20Next, Mr. President, we have House Joint Resolution 24.
02:23This is the same basic idea, but this relates to walk-in coolers and freezers and other refrigeration
02:30devices.
02:31Again, last-minute Biden-era regulation that hits ordinary Americans hard workers.
02:36And what do they do?
02:37They put in –
02:39Increase.
02:40Increase energy efficiency requirements for walk-ins, coolers, and freezers, and therefore
02:44putting an undue burden on businesses across the country.
02:48Everything from restaurants to pharmacies, you know, hospitals were all going to be impacted.
02:53To a point where it didn't work.
02:54In other words, they made the restrictions so strong that it didn't work.
02:57And it was going to cost them so much money to actually meet the energy efficiency standards,
03:02which didn't really save much money.
03:03So this is going to actually help our small businesses across the country, Mr. President.
03:10Many manufacturers would have had to close stop lines, shut down entire lines of businesses.
03:22And I just want to say, rescinding these – this was done days before.
03:26Days before you took office.
03:28They pushed through these regulations.
03:30They didn't think about the cost to businesses.
03:32They didn't put American interests first.
03:34They didn't put American businesses first.
03:36I am so grateful we finally have a president who's not only walking back these insane burdensome regulations
03:43that are ultimately going to cost us Americans and American businesses,
03:46but that you are thinking about the next generation.
03:49And as we're leading into Mother's Day, some of us are trying to parent and serve this country at the same time.
03:55Thank you for welcoming my son, who is 15, with his mother serving, watching what we're doing for him
04:01and the generations to come.
04:03You are making this country stronger for them.
04:06Thank you very much.
04:07Good luck, right?
04:08Take care of you, Mom.
04:09Okay.
04:10You want to hold that up, too?
04:12That's a big one, isn't it, huh?
04:18Common sense.
04:19It's all about common sense, right?
04:21Okay.
04:22Will, go ahead.
04:23Next, sir, this is House Joint Resolution 42.
04:25Again, this is a rescission of a Biden-era regulation, in this case relating to energy conservation standards
04:32for household appliances and certain consumer products.
04:44That's a good one.
04:45I know who's over there.
04:47I know who did this.
04:49Explain that, please.
04:51Sure.
04:52Look, this is helping fight inflation because the cost of your, the burden on appliance manufacturers
04:59is going to drive up the cost of them producing household products, which means that when you
05:04go buy a washer, dryer, any appliance, it was going to drive up the cost for consumers.
05:09It reduces consumer choice, but in the bottom line, we've been trying to fight inflation.
05:14This helps take the cost out of producing these products that Americans need every day.
05:19And when you think, when you add all this up, it's one regulation here, one regulation there.
05:24They always say it's de minimis, but when you add it all up, it costs a lot to American consumers,
05:28and this is fighting back things.
05:29And it's not as good.
05:30And it's not as good.
05:31Not nearly as good, not nearly as efficient, and more costly.
05:35Other than that, it's wonderful.
05:38Great job.
05:39Thank you very much.
05:40Great.
05:41Interesting.
05:42Okay.
05:43And lastly, sir, we have House Joint Resolution 75.
05:45Again, this is a rescission of a Biden-era regulation, in this case relating to energy
05:50standards for commercial refrigerators, freezers, and refrigerator freezers.
05:55Do you have the sink one in here?
05:59The sinks and shower heads?
06:01That's —
06:02We have an executive order on that coming for you later, sir.
06:05Yes, sir.
06:06That's coming when?
06:07Later this afternoon.
06:08Good.
06:09You're going to be around later this afternoon?
06:10Good.
06:11Sinks and shower heads where you buy a home and you have a new shower head and you don't
06:22get any water?
06:23The water doesn't come out of the sink?
06:24The water comes out of nowhere?
06:26What a shame.
06:27What a ridiculous waste.
06:28Okay.
06:29Let me do this.
06:30Come here.
06:31Who's responsible for this?
06:33This is my, Mr. President.
06:35Oh, good man here.
06:36Yes, sir.
06:37Okay.
06:39You want to discuss that?
06:40Yes, sir.
06:41This would have — this was a government regulation that we have now repealed — thank you very
06:44much, Mr. President — that now saves the American taxpayers — I was getting ready to
06:49say the Texas taxpayer, them too — but the American taxpayer.
06:53Because who would have ultimately paid the price on a government mandate and a government regulation?
07:00The people of America.
07:01So you just say the American taxpayer money.
07:03So thank you very much.
07:04That's fantastic.
07:06It's a great job.
07:07Okay.
07:08Any questions?
07:09Mr. President.
07:10The President.
07:11The President.
07:12The President.
07:13The President.
07:14The President.
07:15The President.
07:16Even after the deals are done, does that mean that countries offering zero tariffs won't
07:20get reciprocity?
07:21The President.
07:22You are going to always have a baseline.
07:24I mean, there could be an exception at some point.
07:26We'll see.
07:27Somebody does something exceptional for us.
07:29It's always possible.
07:30But basically, you have a baseline of a minimum of 10 percent, and some of them will be much
07:35higher — 40 percent, 50 percent, 60 percent — as they've been doing to us over the years.
07:41We had a wonderful deal yesterday.
07:44We have four or five other deals coming immediately.
07:46We have many deals coming down the line, and ultimately, we're just signing the rest
07:50of them in.
07:52But we always have a baseline of 10 percent.
07:53The Press- And then, specifically on the possibility of an increase in taxes on
07:59wealthier Americans.
08:00What do you say to conservative Republicans who argue that this is an increase on small
08:06business owners?
08:07Well, what we're doing is we're actually — if we ever did that, it would only be — and
08:11from what I hear, people would love to do it — rich people.
08:15I would love to do it, frankly.
08:16But what we'll do is that, you know, they'll go around saying, oh, this is so terrible.
08:20Would you do it is you're giving up something up top in order to make people in the middle
08:26income and the lower-income brackets save more?
08:30So it's really a redistribution.
08:33And I'm willing to do it if they want.
08:35I would love to be able to give people in a lower bracket a big break by giving up some
08:40of what I have.
08:41But I'll tell you, a lot of people say, don't do it because of the fact that you
08:44have the Bush statement about — read my lips.
08:49But he lost because of Ross Perot.
08:50He didn't lose because of that statement.
08:51The Press- And then on the salt —
08:52The Press- But I don't think they're going to be doing it, but I actually think it's
08:56good politics to do it, where richer people give up — and it's a very small — it's
09:00like a point.
09:02But they give it up to benefit people in a lower income.
09:05The Press- And then on the salt tax credits, Mr. President, there are some Republicans
09:09who say, why is it that these 45 other states should be paying taxes to alleviate the tax
09:17burden of New York or some of these countries?
09:19The Press- It's only because those states are behind — very badly behind.
09:23And those people were affected very badly.
09:26And, you know, the sad part is oftentimes they were affected badly because you had bad
09:30management in those states, like in California with Newsom and, you know, people.
09:35So you had some bad management.
09:37But that's being worked on now.
09:39They may do a piece one way or the other.
09:42It's a very complex issue, but I think — I think it's being worked out.
09:45I think it's going to be — it has not been settled yet, but they'll settle it up pretty
09:50quickly.
09:51The Press- What parameters have you given Scott Besson on negotiating with China this weekend?
09:56The Press- We have to make a great deal for America.
10:00The Press- Are you going to be disappointed if he comes back without a deal?
10:03The Press- No, not at all, because we already made a great deal.
10:07We're not doing business with China right now.
10:09The Press- You know, we lost — we lost one trillion dollars last year with China.
10:15One trillion.
10:16So if you're not going to do business with them, you're not going to lose one trillion dollars.
10:20We lost — I just want — I want China to do great.
10:23You know, I'm very friendly with President Xi.
10:25I have great respect for him and for China.
10:28But we can't continue to allow them to do what they did.
10:32When I was president, they paid hundreds of billions of dollars in tariffs and taxes.
10:36And then Biden screwed it all up.
10:38What he did to this country between the border and between all of the other problems — the
10:43wars, everything — what he did to this country should never be forgotten.
10:47But one of the things he did is the trade was so bad and so imbalanced.
10:50So I think we're going to come back with a fair deal for both China and us.
10:55The Press- Have you given Vesant a number of how low you're willing to go?
10:59The Press- Yeah, I have.
11:00The Press- Are you willing to share that number?
11:01Is that 80 percent?
11:02The Press- No.
11:03The Press- But I put out a number today, 80 percent.
11:05So we'll see how that all works out.
11:07The Press- The U.S. embassy in Kyiv is warning right now about possible Russian significant
11:13attack on Kyiv.
11:15What's your message for Putin?
11:17The President- I have a message for both parties.
11:21Get this war ended.
11:23We're losing 5,000 soldiers a week — Russian and Ukrainian soldiers — and other people
11:29also, by the way.
11:31And I say, get this stupid war finished.
11:34That's my message for both of them.
11:36Thank you very much.
11:37We'll see you in a little while.
11:38We'll see you in a little while.
11:39The Press- Thank you.
11:40The Press- Thank you.
11:41The Press- Thank you.
11:42The Press- Thank you.
11:43The Press- Thank you.
11:44The Press- He just came in to say hello.
11:46The Press- What did he just got?
11:47The Press- Almost nothing.
11:48He came in to say hello.
11:49He was very nice.
11:50And I think he came in to thank me, frankly.
11:52I mean, that would be — I would say the primary reason.
11:55But he — he was very nice.
11:57He's a nice man.
11:58But I think he actually came in to thank me.
12:00The Press- Is he complying with ICE, like you'd like to see?
12:03The Press- You'd have to ask Tom Oman.
12:04The Press- Mr. President, do you have a reaction to Bill Gates' comments yesterday
12:10that the cuts in USAID will lead to millions of deaths of children around the world?
12:13The Press- I don't know anything about his comments.
12:14The Press- Thank you.
12:15The Press- Thank you.
12:16The Press- Thank you.
12:17The Press- Thank you.
12:18Let's head out.
12:19Thank you all.
12:20The Press- Thanks, guys.
12:22The Press- Thank you.
12:23The Press- Thank you.
12:24The Press- Thank you.
12:25The Press- Thank you.
12:38The Press- Thank you.
12:40The Press- Thank you.
13:16Thank you very much.
13:32We have some executive orders that we're going to be signing right now that are very important.
13:36They're really reduced from some horrible mistakes made by Biden and his group, and we're

15:11Hold that up.

15:25Well done.
15:26There's the Golden Doe, by the way, of your interest.
15:27There's the Golden Doe.
15:28There's the Golden Doe.
15:29That'll save all your lives someday, maybe.
15:30Okay, good.
15:31Thanks, Brian.
15:32You'll hold it up.
15:33Next, Mr. President, we have House Joint Resolution 24.
15:35This is the same basic idea, but this relates to walk-in coolers and freezers and other refrigeration devices.

19:07Other than that, it's wonderful.
19:09Thank you, Mr. President.
19:10Great job.
19:11Thank you very much.
19:12Great.
19:13Fantastic.
19:14Okay.
19:15And lastly, sir, we have House Joint Resolution 75.
19:17Again, this is a rescission of a Biden-era regulation.

19:36Yes, sir.

19:38Later this afternoon.
19:39Okay.
19:40Good.
19:41You're going to be around later this afternoon?
19:42Good.
19:45The President has a new shower head where you buy a home and you have a new shower head
19:52and you don't get any water in it.
19:54The water doesn't come out of the sink.
19:55The water comes out of nowhere.
19:56What a shame.
19:57What a ridiculous waste.
19:58Okay.

20:09Mr. Thank you.
20:10The President.
20:11You want to discuss that?
20:12Mr. Yes, sir.
20:13This is a government regulation that we have now repealed.
20:17Thank you very much, Mr. President.
20:18That now saves the American taxpayers, getting ready to save the Texas taxpayer, them too.
20:23But the American taxpayer.
20:25Because who would have ultimately paid the price on a government mandate and a government
20:31regulation?
20:32The people of America.
20:33So you just save the American taxpayer money.
20:36So thank you very much.
20:37That's fantastic.
20:39It's great job.
20:40Okay.
20:41Any questions?
20:42Mr. President.
20:43Do you want to say that a 10 percent baseline tariff on all countries is here to stay even
20:48after the deals are done?
20:49Does that mean that countries offering zero tariffs won't get reciprocity?
20:53You are going to always have a baseline.
20:56I mean, there could be an exception at some point.
20:58We'll see.
20:59Somebody does something exceptional for us.
21:01It's always possible.
21:02But basically, you have a baseline of a minimum of 10 percent.
21:06And some of them will be much higher, 40 percent, 50 percent, 60 percent, as they've been doing
21:11to us over the years.
21:12We had a wonderful deal yesterday.
21:15We have four or five other deals coming immediately.
21:18We have many deals coming down the line.
21:20And ultimately, we're just signing the rest of them in.
21:23But we always have a baseline of 10 percent.
21:26And then, specifically on the possibility of an increase in taxes on wealthier Americans,
21:32what do you say to conservative Republicans who argue that this is an increase on small business owners?
21:38Well, what we're doing is we're actually, if we ever did that, it would only be, and from what I hear,
21:45people would love to do it, rich people.
21:47I would love to do it, frankly.
21:48But what we'll do is that, you know, they'll go around saying, oh, this is so terrible.
21:52What you're doing is you're giving up something up top in order to make people with the middle income
21:59and the lower income brackets save more.
22:01So it's really a redistribution.
22:03And I'm willing to do it if they want.
22:07I would love to be able to give people in a lower bracket a big break by giving up some of what I have.
22:13But I'll tell you, a lot of people say don't do it because of the fact that you have the Bush statement about read my lips.
22:20But he lost because of Ross Perot.
22:22He didn't lose because of that statement.
22:24And they don't miss all.
22:25But I don't think they're going to be doing it.
22:27But I actually think it's good politics to do it where richer people give up.
22:31And it's a very small.
22:32It's like a point.
22:33But they give it up to benefit people at a lower income.
22:37And then on the salt tax credits, Mr. President, there are some Republicans who say, why is it that these 45 other states should be paying taxes to alleviate the tax burden of New York or some of these coastal states?
22:52The President, you know, some states are behind, very badly behind.
22:55And those people were affected very badly.
22:57And, you know, the sad part is oftentimes they were affected badly because you had bad management in those states, like in California with Newsom and, you know, people.
23:06So you had some bad management.
23:08But that's being worked on now.
23:10And they may do a piece one way or the other.
23:12It's a very complex issue.
23:15But I think I think it's being worked out.
23:17I think it's going to be where it has not been settled yet.
23:20But they'll settle it up pretty quickly.
23:22Mr. President, what parameters have you given Scott Besson on negotiating with China this weekend?
23:28We have to make a great deal for America.
23:32Are you going to be disappointed if he comes back without a deal?
23:35No, not at all, because we already made a great deal.
23:38We're not doing business with China right now.
23:41Mr. President, we lost one trillion dollars last year with China, one trillion.
23:48So if you're not going to do business with them, you're not going to lose one trillion dollars.
23:52But we lost.
23:53I just want I want China to do great.
23:55You know, I'm very friendly with President Xi.
23:57I have great respect for him and for China.
24:00But we can't continue to allow them to do what they did.
24:03When I was president, they paid hundreds of billions of dollars in tariffs and taxes.
24:08And then Biden screwed it all up.
24:10What he did to this country between the border and between all of the other problems, the wars, everything.
24:15What he did to this country should never be forgotten.
24:18But one of the things he did is the trade was so bad and so imbalanced.
24:22So I think we're going to come back with a fair deal for both China and us.
24:27Have you given Besson a number of how low you're willing to go?
24:30Yeah, I am.
24:31Are you willing to share that number?
24:32What's the number?
24:33Are you willing to share that number?
24:34No.
24:3580 percent?
24:36But I put out a number today, 80 percent.
24:37So we'll see how that all works.
24:38The U.S. Embassy in Kyiv is warning right now about possible Russian significant attack on Kyiv.
24:47What's your message for Putin?
24:50I have a message for both parties.
24:53Get this war ended.
24:55We're losing 5,000 soldiers a week.
24:58Russian and Ukrainian soldiers.
25:00And other people also, by the way.
25:02And I say, get this stupid war finished.
25:05That's my message for both of them.
25:07Thank you very much.
25:08We're seeing you.
25:12You just came in to say hello.
25:17What did you discuss?
25:18Almost nothing.
25:19You came in to say hello.
25:21Very nice.
25:22I think he came in to thank me, frankly.
25:24I mean, I would be, I would say the primary reason.
25:27But he was very nice.
25:28He's a nice man.
25:30But I think he actually came in to thank me.
25:32Is he compliant with ICE like you'd like to see?
25:34You'd have to ask Cameron.
25:36Mr. President, get in your relationship with crime
25:38and Mr. Mody.
25:39Mr. President, do you have a reaction to Bill Gates's
25:40comments yesterday that the cuts in USAID will lead
25:44to millions of deaths of children around the world?
25:45Mr. I didn't know any of those comments.
25:47Mr. President, get in your relationship with crime
25:49and Mr. Mody White.
25:50Thank you, all.
25:51Thank you guys.
25:53Start moving.
25:54We'll be here.
