In the latest episode of the Geordie Journos, the lads discuss the fan consultation on the new badge, and while they hope the Magpies take fan thoughts on board, they're not sure that will actually happen.

00:20A Newcastle fan is always going to recognise that badge, always going to buy the shirt, go to games.

00:25It's looking at a global scale, and what the average fan knows about brand recognition,

00:34and whether the club really seriously take on each and every fan's opinion, I'd be surprised.

00:39But it's one of those things.

00:40I think it depends on the size of the backlash, if there were to be a major backlash,

00:44because I think comparing it to a badge a couple of years ago, Leeds United try to essentially read it out of their badge.
