00:00I think a harsh dose of reality if anybody needed one is this, the statistics don't lie

00:06Newcastle United have not really beaten Liverpool all that much in the last 30, 40, 50 years.

00:13You can go back as long as you want, Newcastle United haven't won many games at Anfield,

00:16they've beaten them at home a few times of course, but go back a long time, Newcastle

00:21United haven't really beaten Liverpool all that often. They haven't beaten them for 10

00:26years-ish, home away, haven't beaten them anywhere.

00:30It was at home in December 2015 was the last win.

00:34So that's another statistic, so what I would say, Liverpool at the moment are a much stronger

00:39Liverpool than they have been for the last few years, probably not a couple of years

00:43on the clock they were incredible. They're not quite at that level this season, but they're

00:47the best of a bunch in the Premier League, they are the best team. That goes to say they're

00:52one of the best teams in Europe, probably in the top two, three teams in Europe at the

00:56moment, Newcastle United aren't. Now you play Liverpool in a final with all the heritage

01:02and history that Liverpool have, forgetting Newcastle United, and add in the fact that

01:09they're playing a very, very good football team, probably one of the best on the planet

01:12at the moment, with some of the, well at least one of the, possibly the most informed player

01:18on the planet, or one of the top five. I would suggest Newcastle United had to be 100% at

01:25their absolute best, performing really well, to have a chance, like a decent chance in

01:31this final. And I would say Newcastle United at their very best, looking at everything

01:35that you bring into the equation, probably had a three in ten chance. It's not a 50-50

01:40game, it's weighted in Liverpool's favour, history, heritage, the side that they are,

01:45the quality of players that they have, was weighted in their favour. I would say three

01:49times out of ten.
