00:00But, you know, in the conversations that we're having, Kashmir seems to be the flashpoint here.
00:06Why is this region being so disputed for so long?
00:10Well, this is it. Kashmir is a mountainous region in Pakistan and India.
00:15And it's been disputed ever since the partition of 1947.
00:20Both countries basically want ownership of the land of Kashmir.
00:24And unfortunately, it's the Kashmiri people who are stuck right at the centre of the conflict between two nations.
00:30It's Kashmiris who bear the brunt of the ongoing conflict between India and Pakistan.
00:35And essentially, they are the ones who want peace.
00:39It still begs the question whether Pakistan and India actually want de-escalation,
00:44actually want to come to the table and have a discussion together.
00:48That's the big question. And I don't really feel like those two sides do.
00:51It's the Kashmiris who want peace more than anyone.
