00:00It says that it helps people be happier, it helps their well-being, it's better for their work-life balance,

00:07and it's expected to improve productivity and reduce absenteeism as well,

00:12because, you know, you'll have less people being absent from work, and it is modernizing world of labor.

00:19Now, this is not new, by the way. Maybe it is, this bill is new in Spain for the private sector,

00:25but in the world, we have so many examples of countries that have tried this.

00:30One of them is the UK that keeps doing, like, different trials about this,

00:34but Iceland did a trial from 2015 to 2019, and basically they reduced the working week from five days to four days,

00:42and the findings were quite astonishing that there wasn't any decrease in productivity.

00:50Productivity either stayed the same or was improved,

00:53and you have other countries that have been trying to do similar trials,

00:57like Scotland, Ireland, New Zealand, now Spain as well.

01:01So, largely, the findings are, does it basically impact productivity?

01:07And it said, well, the findings are, it does not impact them negatively.

01:11It either stays the same or the productivity is better.

01:15So, the findings are, it is interesting.
