Chris Mack from Y108 Pittsburgh joined Shan & RJ following today’s shocking George Pickens trade. Mack explained what kind of player the Cowboys are getting, describing Pickens as a talented but temperamental WR2 who could thrive opposite CeeDee Lamb. He also addressed concerns surrounding Pickens’ history of sideline outbursts, fines, and maturity issues during his time in Pittsburgh, as well as the possible reasons the Steelers were ready to move on.

00:19to the cowboys this morning uh chris on a scale of one to ten if one is art monk and ten is you

00:26know antonio brown how much of a locker room or or culture problem did you feel like george pickens

00:33was in pittsburgh in eight um he was never as as crazy as a b um he would much rather quietly stew

00:42and then let you know how he felt by putting always effing open on his eye black and getting

00:48fined for it um that's the way george is he's he got to the point where he didn't really trust the

00:56media so he would be forced to get in front of the media in the locker room every week and talk to

01:01them and would answer questions in a way that was either combative or very terse um didn't really

01:08want to talk had no interest in in speaking to the media but again according to his most of his

01:14teammates was just your typical wide receiver competitive wants to get the ball a lot because

01:19he thinks it's the best way to help the team win and in a lot of cases given the other pieces on

01:24the steelers offense he was the best way for them to win but that attitude got in the way sometimes

01:30all the issues i mentioned last year from showing up late to a game to the eye black and the fine and

01:35everything else um i think the steelers finally looked at it too and said hey there's one year

01:40left on the deal and we just paid dk metcalf a boatload of money we're not committing that much

01:45money to the wide receiver position george is not going to be around after this year let's get

01:49something for him now
