00:00Being good in Spain as the derby to end all derbies, played in one of Europe's most iconic stadiums of course, and home too, to one of the fiercest and longest running rivalries in Italian football as well.
00:13The scene is well and truly set inside the San Siro here tonight, Owen Hargreeves, isn't it?
00:18Well, so far it's been an incredible week. I think everybody keeps asking for predictions, but it's just too tough to call.
00:25Two very different teams. Real Madrid, I would say, are favourites because they have the best players, but I think Atletico Madrid are the best team.
00:32I've never seen a team compete and play so well together and work so well. Two very contrasting styles.
00:46Mark Klainberg is back under the microscope on a big stage tonight after his performance in the cup final.
00:55And slightly later than advertised, the 2016 Champions League final underway, the 213th Madrid derby, the famous all-white of Real Madrid 2014 final.
01:07Five wins for Atletico, and four draws, just the one victory for Real.
01:12Ronaldo with the ball in, and Diego Godin, who's been the busiest defender in the Champions League this season, with more clearing of magic can turn the game.

01:27And it was the first half-chance I think he put it down to, providing that option.
01:33Bale gets it through the legs of Felipe Luis, to Cristiano Ronaldo.
01:38And he's off on the run here, it was the Atletico captain Gabi who makes the tackle.
01:45And a foul tackle according to Mark Klatenberg, and you could see Gabi's reaction when Gareth Bale went down.
01:51Well, it was a foul, any time you come across him.
01:54Once Gareth Bale gets in that position, he comes inside, he's far too quick.
01:58Just gets away from Luis, and Gabi don't think has any chance of getting anywhere near him.
02:05I think once you leave it, Kroos, it's gonna be the left foot here of Gareth Bale.
02:10And he's put it into a really good area, and it was a fantastic save by Oblak.
02:15It's Casemiro who came in, I think it was.
02:19Oblak has been in such good form all season, and this is a huge save early on.
02:24There's no question of offside, that is an incredible save for Moblak,
02:29and then any question about is he one of the best cupers in the Champions League,
02:33he's just proved it after five minutes, that's a stunning save.

03:03This is what we're gonna see, physical play from clear winners in this game,

03:08Look at Gareth Bale, crowded out by four Madrid players.
03:12It's Toni Kroos, the flexor behind off Salah, it's gonna be another corner for Real Madrid,
03:17who've settled the quicker here in the opening nine minutes,
03:21they've been the better team so far.
03:23But this is important for Real Madrid, Toni Kroos, Luka Modric get forward,
03:27won't score a ton of goals, but it's so important for the tempo of the game.
03:30Felipe Luis has been so consistent in the Champions League running away,
03:37and that's a heavy challenge by Carvajal,
03:39right in front of Diego Simeone,
03:41who wastes no time in telling Mark Plattenberg all about it.
03:45That was a shocking challenge from Carvajal, he's so late.
03:48Again, you see players over-committing, sometimes just holding your position.
03:51It's so important as a defender.
03:54The previous final between these two, Kroos with the delivery,
03:56Bale helps it on, and it's gone in.
03:59And Sergio Ramos is claiming the Real Madrid goal,
04:03and just like he did two years ago, the Real Madrid captain scored.
04:14Again, little things add up, giving away free kicks in silly areas,
04:18it's cost them Real Madrid's best chance came from a free kick.

05:26In the end, it was straightforward for Oglac,
05:28but it's another sign out of how comfortable Real Madrid are.
