Kachchh (Gujarat), May 5, 2025 (ANI): During the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War, a group of women of Bhuj played an essential role in defeating Pakistan by rebuilding the damaged Indian Air Force (IAF) airstrip after Pakistani air strikes. According to Indian Air Force, Bhuj runway was attacked by enemy aircraft on the night of 08 December, 71. In a stellar example of collaboration, District Collector of Bhuj facilitated volunteers from Madhapar village to work alongside IAF personnel to recover the runway.
