(Domain experts tell ANI) May 08, 2025 (ANI): In retaliation to Pahalgam terrorist attack, India carried out ‘targeted, measured’ attack on terrorist hotspots in Pakistan. India launched ‘Operation Sindoor’ targeted nine terrorist hotbeds inside the territory of Pakistan and PoK on May 07. Indian Air Force S-400 ‘Sudarshan Chakra’ air defence missile systems were fired last night against targets moving towards India. The targets moving towards India were successfully neutralised in the operation say multiple domain experts to ANI. However, Defence Ministry of India specifically mentioned that Pakistani military establishments were not targeted in operations. Pakistan attempted to engage a number of military targets in Northern and Western India after the operation. Pakistan targeted various areas including Awantipura, Srinagar, Pathankot, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Ludhiana using drones and missiles. These attacks, however, were neutralised by the Integrated Counter UAS Grid and Air Defence systems. Debris of these attacks is now being recovered from a number of locations that prove the Pakistani attacks. Pakistan increased intensity of unprovoked firing across LoC using Mortars & heavy calibre Artillery in various regions of J&K. Indian Armed Forces reiterate their commitment to non-escalation, provided it is respected by the Pakistani military.
