00:00The Department of Agriculture, or DA, will begin selling rice to 20 pesos per kilo on May 13 after

00:06the elections, following Comelec's recommendation to delay the program to avoid influencing voters.

00:13The program, launched in Cebu during Labor Day, fulfills President Marcos Jr.'s promise

00:18and is expected to benefit 800,000 households in the Visayas.

00:235 billion pesos has been allocated and families can buy up to 40 kilograms of rice per month.

00:30The initiative aims to be sustainable through solar-powered irrigation projects.
