Watch as new upgrades at Isle of Man Airport departure lounge showcased in video

00:00It's part of a five-phase programme. So far phases one, two, three have now been completed

00:08and customers are already enjoying them. The phase one is the seating here that you'll see

00:12and the Costa bar in the background and then there's the regular bar which has also been

00:18completed now with some new seating. Increased seating in this whole area now has been quite

00:23considerable so this whole area including the the back end of the departure lounge has gone

00:28up from originally before all of this work 200 seats and we're now at 316 seats so quite

00:34significant and that's all based on customer feedback. It was really important to make

00:38these changes to our departure lounge. From a customer experience point of view this was

00:42crucial and we really have worked very closely with the Cater Leisure team in order to make

00:47sure that this area works for the customers. We have two more phases to go which we're hoping

00:52to complete by the end of the summer. One is the redecorating of the rear area of the departure

00:59lounge. We also have the holding lounge downstairs which lots of our customers will use. Just

01:04as an airport want to say a massive thank you to all the passengers as they've flown through

01:07over the last six weeks and in particular a thank you to Cater Leisure for investing in this

01:11area as well as the airport staff who have gone above and beyond while this work has been carried

01:15out to make sure it's been carried out to the high standards that it is.
