A glam mum has found $30k worth of items digging through the trash for treasure in the last six months - including a piano and Burberry coat worth $500.

Ariana Rodriguez, 35, has always loved thrifting but started sourcing free items three years ago after joining her neighbourhood 'buy nothing' group on Facebook.

There she spotted others who would go stooping - sourcing of items that have been left out on the street - and decided to give it a go herself.

She started to find toys and clothes on sidewalks and six months ago started digging through dumpsters and trash bags to find more treasure.

She estimates she's found $30k worth of items - including a vintage Burberry coat worth $500, Prada shoes worth $900 and a Sohmer & Co piano worth anywhere between $3k to $10k.

Ariana isn't able to take it all home but what she doesn't keep she either gives to the church for people in need or resells it on.

The mum-of-three also hunts in full glam to show 'anyone can be a trash digger'.

00:05good condition and these kids shoes you could easily go drop off at the church. Put them in the

00:10hulkin. She probably could have done this herself or he but they decided they didn't want to so I'm

00:16gonna do it for them. There was this really cute little like white bathroom unit that I was gonna

00:22post on my Buy Nothing group and then someone came over and grabbed it. I love when I see other people

00:27take stuff. It makes me really happy. This is like some sort of a pedestal table. This ottoman looks

00:33super nice. I'm definitely gonna post it to my Buy Nothing group. Opens up. So cute. It's a nice

00:39pattern. Looks pretty new. Then I just open up this bag here and the first thing I pull out is this

00:44perfectly good Brooks Brothers sweater. There always has to be a bag of like a bajillion books.

00:52We're at a new street. There's this table. People are always getting rid of suitcases.

00:57There's this adorable bed. Twin bed. I'm such a magnet for these plastic things. Got the bin. This piece

01:07right here is really pretty. So nice. Soda streams are always getting dumped. Same with steamers.

01:15An entire thing of Rayos. We'll take this to the church. A vintage Panasonic recorder. Always

01:24so many strollers. It's almost unbelievable that it's the same lady as last time who's throwing away

01:31all her art supplies. There's literally money in here. I was digging around.

01:38I also found this like Marvis Magic tape again. It's a huge rat. It's like harassing me.

01:46This lady is loading me up. Paper. You have to see it to believe it because she threw out money.

02:44Most people go out on Friday nights. I dig through bags of trash. I am actually on the east side

02:55with my friend the trash salvager on the other app. We're gonna go see what we can find. I don't have

03:01my stroller because I'm on the other side of the city. But this is super gorgeous. Look at that.

03:42Uh eBay. So Matt found this gorgeous Czech glass. So nice. Stunning. We found this whole bag of

03:51games and I was squealing when I saw Let's Go Fishin' because it's like literally one of my favorite

03:57games. Tea party game. Let's go. Fish. Scrabble Junior. Scrabble Junior.

04:03I decided to ditch the bowl because we got the Hermes boxes. Manifesting finding Gucci

04:10tonight. And while I did not find Gucci we're getting warmer. A fur collar. Real fur. Gorgeous.

04:17She's lovely. In a recycling bag. In a recycling bag. Yes. That's right.

04:21It smells a little like. A beer. Yeah. A beer. So no it's not. It's not too bad. I put

04:29this on a blazer. It'll be so cheap because you guys know I love to do that. Matt found

04:33all this jewelry. We're gonna parse through it later. It could be diamonds. Those little

04:38ones. Some of it's costume for sure. There was an elephant in there that might be gold.

04:42A lot of silver. This is my most exciting night. My kids will love that. It's just genuinely

04:53sad to see a piano. It's a somer piano. Having a sad moment over here. Matt has moved. What

05:02are the chances that someone would come rescue this? Zero. Not this hour and no one has space

05:07for this hard truck. One day I'm gonna have a warehouse though and I'm gonna rescue it.
