A shocking case of rash driving was caught on CCTV in Kottakkal, Malappuram district, where a speeding car hit a 33-year-old woman, Badaria, on April 26. The woman was walking with a child when the car veered off its lane and struck her from behind, throwing her to the roadside.
The child miraculously escaped unhurt and was seen in the footage rushing to help Badaria. Locals quickly gathered at the scene, and she was rushed to a private hospital, where she remains in the ICU with head injuries.
The incident, which occurred in a residential area on Saturday morning, has raised serious concerns over pedestrian safety.
