00:17Last night, Senate Republicans had a chance

00:20to stop Donald Trump's tariffs here on the Senate floor.

00:23They said no.

00:25They chose to side with the tariffs instead.

00:28They chose to side with high prices for Americans,

00:33$4,000 more a year.

00:36They chose to side with Donald Trump over siding

00:41with the American consumer,

00:43who's paying more than $4,000 a year.

00:46So Republicans now own Donald Trump's tariffs.

00:49Let me repeat, Republicans own Donald Trump's tariffs.

00:53Don't complain about them.

00:55Don't go knocking at the White House door

00:57and saying get rid of them.

01:00You're going along and you voted to go along.

01:03If Republicans wanted to stop these tariffs,

01:06they certainly could.

01:07They have the power.

01:09Many of them know privately it's the right thing to do.

01:12But they're too scared to cross Donald Trump.

01:15So instead of siding with the American consumer,

01:17they side with him and enable his destructive behavior.

01:22But it's not just tariffs, oh no.

01:25Republicans are behind every failure of Donald Trump.

01:28They are his enablers, his collaborators, his co-conspirators.

01:33We all know they could undo Trump's failing policies if they wanted to.

01:37But they sit on their hands and in so many cases are complicit.

01:42Republicans are complicit in Donald Trump's push for tax cuts for billionaires.

01:48They're complicit in putting Medicaid funding on the chopping block.

01:52They're complicit in adding $52 trillion to the national debt.

01:56And they're complicit as Doge sabotages the Social Security Administration.

02:04They're complicit in the leadership failures at the Pentagon.

02:07And they'll be complicit should the economy slip into a wholly unnecessary recession, God forbid.

02:13In just 100 days of Donald Trump, polls show Americans are getting fed up.

02:19They're fed up with the chaos.

02:21They're fed up with the lawlessness.

02:23And they're fed up with Donald Trump siding with the special few over them.

02:28And the longer the Republicans enable Donald Trump's reckless behavior,

02:32the American people are going to get fed up with Republican majorities as well.
