00:28We're at a point now where one side is snatching people up off the street and putting them on a
00:35plane, and the other side is, you know, not doing that. Ruffin added that she was really,
00:41really sad for around two hours after hearing that she had been disinvited from performing at
00:45this year's gala. But after looking at her joke material planned for her hosting gig,
00:50Ruffin thought differently. After they fired me, I looked back at my Google Doc and was like,
00:58this would have been bad.
01:01They would not have liked it. Before I had even opened my mouth,
01:07then they would have been really, really sad with what they got.
01:12Ruffin declined to reveal specific jokes from her White House Correspondents gig,
01:16but did talk about broader themes of love and hate.
01:19Saying that out loud now makes me glad that I got canceled.
