00:04election, which saw Donald Trump beat Kamala Harris in the race to the White House.
00:09Jimmy Kimmel kicked off his monologue, telling his audience,
00:12Let me tell you, that was the worst Taco Tuesday of my whole life.
00:16We had the choice between a prosecutor and a criminal, and we chose the criminal to be
00:20president of the United States.
00:22More than half of this country voted for the criminal who's planning to pardon himself
00:26for his crimes.
00:27Later during his opening segment, Kimmel got emotional as he listed off everyone who was
00:31impacted by the quote, terrible night last night.
00:34It was a terrible night for poor people, for the middle class, for seniors who rely on
00:38social security, for our allies in Ukraine, for NATO, for the truth, and democracy and
00:48decency.
00:49The Late Show with Stephen Colbert host began his opening monologue Wednesday night with
00:53a blunt statement.
00:54Well, s***, it happened again.
01:01He continued,
01:02All day yesterday I was walking around proudly wearing my I Voted sticker.
01:05Today I wore my I'm questioning my fundamental belief in the goodness of humanity sticker.
01:10He also addressed people who asked if part of him was happy to see Trump elected because
01:14it gave him more late night material.
01:16No one tells the guy who cleans the bathroom, wow, you must love it when someone has explosive
01:20diarrhea.
01:21There's so much material for you to work with.
01:25Seth Meyers also kicked off his show late night by reflecting on the results.
01:28It was like Christmas Eve.
01:30If you know on Christmas morning, you're either going to wake up to find that Santa left presents
01:34under the tree or just took a huge dump in your fireplace.
