00:28check-in it's good to see you again we're we're showing you all of the hotel i feel like beautiful

00:32this is my first time in here yeah yeah we're gonna keep bringing you to different spaces until

00:37we uh run out of them so um congrats yeah this place is huge congratulations on on everything

00:44uh the upcoming tour the new music um i love the the marketing and promo for pretty ugly so far

00:51uh how did that come about it was just me wanting to be a little i don't know if silly is the right

00:59word but i'm not a very serious person and i think the song has like an element of fun to it

01:05and i spend a lot of time like online i am just a part of like the internet culture

01:13like i love what happened to symphony like i just i have a lot of screen time yeah yeah so uh

01:20i think like we did a coachella billboard which was like a bit cheeky and fun um just the imagery

01:27of like like a little yeah a little like fun and not taking myself too serious i feel like it's the

01:33vibe were you hanging out in the desert for like all of it or yes both weekends did you see people

01:39that you were really excited about or yes so like when i go i i truly go like i love to go to festivals

01:45and i love to actually like really watch the performances like that's why i'm there and i'm

01:50with my sister who would never allow me to spend more than like 15 minutes in the vip area then

01:56she's like that yes let's go back to stage and be barricade and it makes the experience so much

02:01more fun because what a gift it is to be at a place where people have spent so much time and effort

02:07on their shows and then you get to see it all yeah but there's so many things happening so like

02:12we didn't get to see all of them the first weekend that's why also we went back the second yeah yeah

02:17yeah but my favorite was hands down green day love it awesome that's so i mean those guys still i

02:24mean they're legends and they still rock out professionals and they've been doing it for

02:28like 30 years yeah yeah yeah and it was hits on hits on hits on hits and even if i had known

02:33no songs all of them were so entertaining oh yeah and kept like the audience you know in in their

02:41grip i feel really inspired of like how to be an entertainer cool cool yeah because i feel like

02:46anyone could have enjoyed that um and that's kind of what i want for my show to be like this is not

02:51just for the fans because like even if you don't know my set on my show i want you to have a good time

02:58i saw one of the images you posted on insta i guess probably a still from the video and i got

03:03christina aguilera dirty vibes people said that but where where did you draw inspiration

03:09i drew inspiration from um a laura croft scene cool and uh i i actually you know maybe subconsciously

03:19like christina is in there because she was one of the girls that i was like obsessed with growing up

03:25yeah yeah and she had that like very sexy kind of wild free like dirty we are getting dirty in

03:34the video let me say that there's a lot of mud yeah yeah yeah there's a lot of like just getting

03:39really messy yeah um but i think it different it it looks to me different than the video but like

03:48if it's anything like dirty i'll be happy with that and once we see the whole thing we'll get the

03:53full picture because it's easy to take a still you know of a formation with dancers and then

03:59compared to another still with the formation of dancers which is like yeah it did it did look very

04:04similar but i think it's a different um texture and vibe and like story yeah yeah to my video i know

04:11you with some of the new music you were working on it a long time ago a year ago or whatever can

04:16you remember were you listening heavily to certain artists or certain genres of music that maybe we'll hear

04:22that influence in this new music when i make music i go into like podcast mode okay um and i just

04:30listen to like what i'm doing oh that's cool and uh but i have to say i felt very inspired when i

04:36went to brazil by like the funk so we have a bit of that influence on so you're telling me

04:44one and a half anita's on the upcoming album that's what you're telling me i love it here first

04:49wouldn't that be something maybe on the remake okay okay okay so a lot of funk but you were in

04:57podcast mode i was in podcast mode but i was there for a show and i stayed for like a week in rio

05:02and there's just something about that energy and like their love for music and like going out and

05:11just like the the the vibe of the city and the people um so i you will hear it on on one track

05:19for sure the upcoming tour you and tate uh wonderful pairing i love that you both have such a great

05:39very sweet yeah yeah very you know she has she works so hard yeah and i'm really excited to like

05:47get to know her get to see her show every night because she's so young i know it's crazy but she's

05:54been doing it for a while and like she i feel like she comes off as seasoned already yes you know

06:00like she's given me mature yes she's given me like you know i'm also really loving that she

06:06seemed to really find her own thing in her spot and i love that she has incorporated more dancing

06:14yeah because i feel like she didn't really do that before at least not like live and no one can do it

06:20like her totally so do you have a favorite tate song or i love the video and the song of revolving

06:26doors okay cool i really do i feel like that stuck out to me a lot on the album too yeah i think

06:30she just has a really cool sound you know awesome awesome and for fans that have been following you

06:36from day one um what's gonna be the the biggest difference they see when they come out to see you

06:42on this tour i think it's a little bit of an energy switch because i will do a lot of this like new

06:49songs so by that time i'll have pretty ugly out i'll have my second single out and then i'm probably

06:55gonna have like a third on the way or i am doing the third one anyways and maybe a fourth yeah so

07:02it's like a little preview of the upcoming project cool cool um which has just so much me in it because

07:11sometimes i feel like i have so much to say and i have like a lot of personality that have been hard

07:16to repackage into a song but with this making of this album like i just was hanging out with

07:23a small group of people yeah and they really like get me yeah yeah yeah so it's like hanging out with

07:32friends and you could just you know it's fun it's it's upbeat it's exciting it's it's has added to

07:40like i feel like pretty ugly is very much that but then there's also the side of me that's vulnerable

07:45sometimes scared of things have a lot of ambition feeling like i'm working hard but i'm being let

07:51down or feel like stuff that i really don't really talk about like yeah yeah openly they're gonna get

07:58my you know they're gonna get a well-rounded version of zara larson and i feel like they're gonna

08:04see that in the show but i will it will be a lot of energy yeah and a lot more dancing hopefully

08:09cool yeah well we appreciate you we love you we're excited for all the things so hopefully we
