With forecasters predicting a rise in temperatures this week, we ask locals to share their most memorable experience of a hot day — whether it’s a day they loved or one they’ll never forget for other reasons.

00:00Yeah, it was 40-something degrees last summer, wasn't it?

00:04And also, like, I've been to Qatar and, like, it was really hot.

00:08Oh, my God, in England! In England!

00:11Oh, probably my twelfth birthday.

00:14It was so hot. It was, like, 41 degrees or something like that.

00:17It was, like, one of the hottest days of the year.

00:19And last year was one of the hottest days of the year.

00:21I'd probably stay in lockdown,

00:23have a little paddling pool in the garden, chilling,

00:25little waterfights with the neighbours.

00:27I remember a hot day, I remember, well, probably my 16th,

00:31literally, like, I was all having a party.

00:34I mean, outdoor swimming pool and that, like, do you know what I mean?

00:37That day was just so hot, you know what I mean?

00:39Like, it was just perfect, you know what I mean?

00:42I had a good time.

00:43So, I think the most memorable hot days

00:45was in the summer of 2022, especially when I was in Cardiff.

00:49And, yeah, it used to be so hot those days.

00:52And I remember there were fires in London at some point

00:55because of the heat.

00:56So, yeah, those are the most memorable hot days I can remember of.
