Forty-nine illegal immigrants were detained during an operation by the Immigration Department at Jalan Desa Palma in Nilai on Friday (April 25) night.

00:0049 illegal immigrants were detained during an operation by the Immigration Department
00:08at Jalan Desa Palma in Nilay on Friday night.
00:11According to Immigration Deputy Director-General Operations, Jafri M. Bogtaha, the arrests
00:17were made following inspections of 260 individuals.
00:21Those detained, aged between 20 and 60, consisted of 44 men and 5 women from Indonesia, Bangladesh,
00:29Myanmar, Nepal, India, Vietnam, Pakistan, Nigeria, China, and Yemen.
00:38They were arrested for not possessing valid travel documents under Section 6, Subsection
00:421, Subsection C of the Immigration Act 1959-63 and for overstaying in the country an offense
00:51under Section 15, Subsection 1, Subsection C of the same law.
00:56All of the detainees were sent to the Lengeng Immigration Depot for further action.
