With the 31st pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Eagles select LB Jihaad Campbell out of Alabama. An absolute steal by Howie Roseman.

00:07Ladies and gentlemen, breaking news, the Eagles have traded up with the Kansas City Chiefs

00:12and it looks like they have targeted a player.

00:16All right, man, the Eagles are on the board at pick 31.

00:20They have decided to trade up and Malachi Starks goes to the Ravens.

00:26The Commanders end up taking Josh Connerly Jr., an offensive lineman that we've talked about a lot.

00:32The Lions go on the defensive line.

00:34They take Tyleek Williams out of Ohio State and the Buffalo Bills take Maxwell Hairston

00:40and the Eagles have decided to move up.

00:42I guess there's a guy they really like.

00:44You know, Howie Roseman is not sticking at pick 32.

00:47So who do they go with?

00:49I mean, a lot of guys here that I have high grades on, first round grades.

00:53First off, Jihad Campbell, right, the South Jersey kid from Alabama, an amazing linebacker.

00:59And you have Josh Simmons, who's still on the board, surprisingly, offensive tackle.

01:04You know how he loves the trenches.

01:06But man, two guys I really, really enjoy on this board right now are Nick Emanwari and Donovan Ezraku.

01:13I thought the Eagles might trade out.

01:15It seems like they tried to trade up earlier.

01:17There was a report from Jordan Schultz that the Eagles had tried to move up with the Green

01:23Bay Packers, but the Packers stayed put.

01:25They took a wide receiver and it almost felt like they were maybe trying to get Malachi starts.

01:30But unfortunately, he is off the board.

01:34Walter Nolan went very early to the Arizona Cardinals.

01:37So now the question is, who do they go with?

01:39Will Johnson is still on the board, but he has had a plethora of injuries.

01:43He was the number one ranked corner in this draft, and some people thought that he might

01:47be going at number 10, and here he is at number 31.

01:51So I think about the Kansas City Chiefs, and I think about their needs, and obviously it

01:56feels like they're going to go with some type of playmaker or probably in the trenches, right?

02:02So I'm thinking, do the Eagles go with an offensive tackle here?

02:06Do they go with an edge rusher?

02:09Do they go with Nick Emanwari?

02:10Maybe they don't want Nick Emanwari to go to Kansas City, and I want to look up what

02:16the Eagles gave up here, but I don't want to spoil myself on the draft pick.

02:20So right now, I really don't know what to think.

02:22I did not expect them to move up one pick, but I guess we'll sit here and we'll wait and

02:28see.

02:29The Giants made this very entertaining by trading back up into the first round.

02:33They take Jackson Dart instead of Shador Sanders, who's still on the board, and man, it's

02:39been a crazy night.

02:40Falcons trade back up.

02:41They take James Pierce Jr.

02:44And Travis Hunter, that was the first big domino that fell.

02:48The Jags traded up to two.

02:49They took Travis Hunter.

02:51Brown's got a hole in that trade.

02:54Says the Eagles pick is in, so I will give you my live reaction here, and then we will

02:58break it down.

02:59But, man, I really like Ezraku.

03:02I like Emanwari.

03:03I think both would be day one fits in this defense, and I think based on what the Eagles

03:10have gone through this offseason, I feel like they need it.

03:13It looks like the Eagles gave up a fifth-round pick in 2025.

03:18So they had four fifth-round picks, and the Eagles give up a fifth-round pick in order

03:25to move up one spot.

03:28So Kansas City probably is comfortable taking on a fifth-round pick, right?

03:32They, you know, they probably have their guy in mind.

03:40The Kansas City Chiefs have traded the 31st pick to the Philadelphia Eagles.

03:46With the 31st pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles select Jahad Kamel.

03:58The Eagles take Jahad Kamel, linebacker, out of Alabama.

04:04Jahad Kamel, the Timber Creek product, is headed to Philadelphia.

04:11Eagles trade up, and they get a linebacker.

04:14Not something I expected here, but, man, the production is off the charts, and the Philadelphia

04:20Eagles have a real shot here to make an impact type of decision.

04:26Like, the Philadelphia Eagles just got a guy who's going to put up numbers across the board.

04:32117 tackles this past year.

04:3454 solos.

04:36He had five sacks, one interception, and 12 tackles for loss.

04:40This guy is an absolute beast.

04:43He might even be suited as an on-ball linebacker in this defense, and I know they signed Zach

04:49Vaughn, but I feel like Howie Roseman is sitting here, and you have the N'Kobe Dean

04:54injury, and I feel like Howie's thinking, hey, this is best choice on the board.

04:59This is best draft pick available.

05:00I don't think anybody thought that Jahad Kamel would be on the board.

05:04What was it, the Bucs at 19?

05:06They went with a wide receiver.

05:07They were mocked to take Jahad Kamel this entire time, and the Eagles go to the big schools

05:12yet again, 6'3", 235, and they take Jahad Kamel out of Alabama.

05:19So, man, I really like this pick.

05:21This is a guy who can pretty much fit in any type of defense.

05:25He's got great speed running all across the field.

05:28He's a versatile weapon.

05:29Very impressive production in a variety of categories.

05:32He can get to the quarterback.

05:33He can make a ton of tackles as seen by his production, and it says here, number one position

05:40rank at the linebacker position.

05:42He's got great burst, workaround ability.

05:45He's got a huge just surge in his game.

05:48He's a great pass rusher, fluid blitzer, can use him in a ton of different disguises, and

05:54man, I mean, really, he's just got to work on his game in terms of recognition a little

05:58bit, but he has showed a lot of flashes to be a great player at the next level.

06:02I know he had a shoulder surgery, I believe, last month.

06:06He had a torn labrum, but he is working his way back from that.

06:10He's expected to be ready by training camp, and this is a guy that transferred from Timber

06:15Creek High School in New Jersey to IMG Academy, and he became an absolute beast, five-star recruit

06:21in the class of 2022, and he was a top 15 national prospect.

06:26So, listen, man, I think this is a home run pick by Howie Roseman.

06:30I know there's a couple other guys there on the board that you probably would have liked

06:34at this pick as well, and maybe they did try to trade up and go get Malachi Starks, but

06:39at the end of the day, they take Jihad Campbell, and let's see if we can get a little more insight

06:45here as we live react to this pick.

06:48Man, I think this is a great pick, man.

06:50Another Alabama guy, and if all goes well, I mean, again, this is a versatile weapon that

06:57you can use in Vic Fangio's defense.

07:00Huge for a linebacker, long arms, great tackler, only played off-ball linebacker for two years,

07:06great movement in open space, has potential in coverage, and has shown reps where he looks

07:11awesome but needs some work, good option as a blitzer, and could potentially take some

07:15edge snaps.

07:16But the great part about this is, again, the Eagles have all of these draft picks, so they

07:22can move back up if they want.

07:23They have a ton of leverage here, and there's still a lot of great players on the board,

07:28a Donovan Ezraku, a Nick Emanwari, and even some corners as well.

07:33I think they're going to take one in the first couple rounds.

07:35So, look, I really like this guy.

07:37Had a pass rush win rate of 13% when rushing.

07:40Lined up almost exclusively in the box as an inside linebacker.

07:44Did have 112 snaps on the line of scrimmage.

07:46It's just a versatile piece, and it just feels like a perfect Howie Roseman pick.
