00:00We hear from Elon Musk. He's pulling back, he says, significantly from his work with the U.S. government.

00:07That doesn't come as a massive surprise, does it?

00:10No. And while some might say it's because of the fall of Tesla stock in the first quarter and purchases,

00:16as well as the political pressure and everything going on with the protests,

00:19they would say that is the reason why he is stepping back for the betterment of his own wealth.

00:24But Elon Musk is still the most wealthy man in the country with more than $330 billion sitting in his bank account.

00:31And this choice to step back from Doge is not necessarily one that he's making.

00:35It's not a choice. He has to do this as required by law.

00:39He is a special government employee, which means only 130 days he can serve in this White House

00:44without having to disclose a lot of private details that he obviously is not very comfortable in doing at this stage.
