00:00How would L.A. respond last night?
00:02They needed to win on home floor to even up the series.
00:07And that's exactly what LeBron, Luka, and the Lakers did accomplish.
00:11Low scoring tilt, 94-85, but that is playoff basketball.
00:16Luka Doncic, 37 in game one, 31 in game two.
00:20A career playoff scoring average of 31 points per game.
00:25Second best, only behind Michael Jordan in NBA history.
00:28Showing up when it matters, LeBron James, a better night in game two.
00:33And the Lakers have evened this series at a game apiece.
00:36Needed it and got it.
00:37And LeBron James coming in last night said, you know, I was pumping up NWA just to get my mindset here
00:42that we got to play a good brand of defensive basketball.
00:45And boy, did they do that.
00:4638% from the floor for the Minnesota Timberwolves, which included a 5 of 25 from three-point range.
00:52Now you look at the Lakers, weren't much better from three-point range,
00:54but significantly better at 45% overall as a team.
00:57You would have told me coming into the game, by the way, the Lakers only going to shoot 20% from three-point range
01:01and 45% from the floor.
01:03I'm not so sure they covered the game, let alone win that game here, but they did.
01:06Why?
01:06Because the defense was there and also the attitude of, we cannot lose this game on our home court.
01:12And you need your best players, your superstars, to step up.
01:15LeBron James did that.
01:16Luka Doncic did that.
01:17They came away with a victory.
01:19Feeling much better about themselves, going 1-1 back to Minnesota.
01:22A must-win game for the Lakers, and they won it.
