00:00Well, good evening, everybody.
00:03It's so good to be with you guys.
00:07My man, Sal Palantonio, myself, Anthony Gargano, on behalf of 97.5 The Fanatic.
00:13This is our own Zoom draft roundtable.
00:17Let's figure out who they're taking.
00:20And I have my pig-headed thoughts, Sal.
00:24And you have to understand, you got to bear with me.
00:26There's three guys I want, or really two.
00:30I want C.D. Lamb or Henry Ruggs.
00:33I want to trade up and get Carson, the receiver they need.
00:39Please tell me, Sal, it's in play.
00:41It's in play.
00:42It's definitely in play because the thing is, though, they're going to have to move up to do it.
00:48What I'm hearing is that there are conversations between the Atlanta Falcons and multiple teams.
00:54The Falcons want to jump out of, I believe it's 16.
00:57And the Eagles may be in that mix to move up from 21 to 16 to get either C.D. Lamb or Henry Ruggs or Justin Jefferson,
01:08one of the top three receivers in this draft.
01:11What will it take?
01:13It probably will take that number 103 pick on the back end of the third round.
01:18You know, it's kind of reminiscent of Howie's first draft in 2010 when he jumped up from 24 to 13 and got Brandon Graham.
01:29I remember telling the story of how Howie Roseman was way up in the rafters, the top row of the big house at Michigan,
01:39calling Andy Reid on the cell phone and saying, Big Red, I got the guy that we're going to take.
01:45His name is Brandon Graham.
01:47And we're going to do everything possible in the first round to take him.
01:51And Brandon Graham goes on and makes history by making the single greatest play in Philadelphia Eagles history.
01:58Strip sack of Tom Brady in the Super Bowl.
02:01So I think it could be reminiscent of that if he goes and gets the guy who I think he wants at 16.
02:08And then moves back and collects picks in the second round or the third round and drafts some other players.
02:19Yeah.
02:19Well, it's funny.
02:20As I look and see the Philly special behind your right shoulder, I go, Oh, my God, this is the greatest.
02:26What a great moment.
02:27I was a dope who wanted Earl Thomas.
02:30I was one of the screaming talk show hosts that said, Earl Thomas.
02:35Earl Thomas would have been a good pick.
02:38I mean, Earl Thomas was a is a perennial Pro Bowl player, quarterback of the defense.
02:44But, you know, the bottom line is Jim Schwartz moved Brandon Graham inside at defensive tackle.
02:52And the Patriots decided to double team Fletcher Cox and Graham strip sack Tom Brady.
02:58And, you know, just that one play, that one matchup decided the Super Bowl.
03:04All right.
03:04So let's let's think about this for a second.
03:06The the idea of what they need and drafting for need, which everybody says, no, you got to go best player on the board.
03:15Except when you look at Carson and you look at the outside receivers that have been at his disposal, just aren't good enough.
03:23He has had no speed other than Deshaun Jackson for a half for a big on quarterback or a guy that you're building your team around a hundred million dollars.
03:34You got to get the receiver.
03:35You know, I think you're partially right, because, you know, there's an old adage in the NFL.
03:45If you draft based on need, you'll soon need another job.
03:50Right.
03:50You got to take really the best athlete that's available on your board when you draft.
03:57You don't want to necessarily overpay for a player.
04:00And you definitely don't want to over qualify a player who might be sitting there.
04:07Right.
04:08So if I'm looking at just straight needs of this football team, and this is important this year, and I just reported this on SportsCenter, right?
04:16The reality of the pandemic of COVID-19 is really beginning to sink in on the eve of the draft.
04:24Coaches and general managers are telling me bottom line is this.
04:28If you have holes to fill, use this draft to fill them, because you never know when Roger Goodell is going to flip the switch and say, all right, hey, everybody back to work in short order.
04:42Be ready to play football.
04:45Have your 22 starters to play.
04:49If you got holes to fill, fill them, because you don't know how abbreviated this offseason is going to be.
04:55It's a different offseason.
04:57And to me, if you're just looking straight need, cuz, they don't have a starting middle linebacker on this team.
05:05They just don't.
05:06Yeah, but again, that position is devalued.
05:10And particularly when you look at an offense.
05:14Especially when you don't have one.
05:15Right, well, yeah.
05:17But, yeah, but again, this is a piece of me.
05:21You know better than anybody.
05:22You're in your sub packages more than anything, all right?
05:25So, I agree that they're weak in linebacker, but they're weaker in playmakers on offense.
05:33They have to get the speed.
05:36They have to have this offense.
05:38Otherwise, again, they're going to struggle.
05:41You have a team that's built around a quarterback.
05:44If you're a defensive team, if you're a team that was built around your defense and had a game manager quarterback, I would agree with you.
05:50But you have Carson Wentz, and you have too much invested in Wentz.
05:54Yeah, and I think that's a great point.
05:56Because the two games that they should have won were both against the Seattle Seahawks.
06:01In the regular season and in the wild card game.
06:04And they scored only 10 points in those games.
06:07And I've said to you, I said it on your show on 97.5 The Fanatic.
06:11I said, if Carson Wentz doesn't get hurt in the wild card game, the Eagles win the football game.
06:18And all they had to do was score one more touchdown.
06:22Right.
06:23And they would have won both of those games.
06:25And the season would have looked completely different.
06:27Completely different.
06:28So, I agree.
06:29They need a playmaker.
06:31They need to score more points.
06:32But I'm just saying, within the perspective of this season and this cup coming offseason, you don't have a middle linebacker.
06:42They don't grow on trees.
06:44And in my view, you don't have a left tackle.
06:48I don't think Andre Dillard is a starting left tackle.
06:50That is scary, Sal.
06:52Well, we got all of our friends gathered here, right?
06:57And all the guys, these great Eagle fans that have helped us, along with our great sponsor, 19 Crimes Wine.
07:04I have a glass right here.
07:05Oh, you have a glass, but guess what I got?
07:09That is beautiful.
07:11There it is.
07:12Oh, it's beautiful.
07:14I love it.
07:15I went right out and got a bottle, baby.
07:17Oh, you're the man.
07:18You know, it's not cracked open.
07:20And I'm going to wait until after the show, make sure we get it right.
07:23Well, we'll social distance in the park, in your driveway.
07:26All right?
07:27I'll be over.
07:28We'll social distance.
07:30But for you, and we're going to get to everybody's questions coming up.
07:34And I can't wait to ask Sal.
07:35We'll talk about all of your questions and bring you up.
07:38But Sal, Dillard, is that big of a question mark?
07:43I think he's a big question mark.
07:44He's such an unproven commodity.
07:46You're taking a guy who last year, according to Sports Info Solutions, and they study every
07:53single play.
07:56He had a position-worst 13% blown block rate last year.
08:03That was number one at his position.
08:06So they invested a lot to move up for the young man.
08:11He had a very rough start.
08:12Now he's going to replace Jason Peters, to me.
08:17They need depth.
08:18They need somebody to challenge him.
08:20They need somebody to compete with him.
08:23They need somebody to light a fire under him.
08:26Not someone to make him realize that you're the future at left tackle for this football team.
08:32What is it about those Pac-12 guys?
08:35Sidney Jones, Nelson Aguilar, Markel Fultz.
08:40J.J.R.
08:41Saga Whiteside.
08:43Yes.
08:44Stay away from the back.
08:45Freddie Mitchell.
08:46Freddie Mitchell.
08:47Yes.
08:48Yeah.
08:49Yes.
08:50You know, it's funny.
08:50I got my draft guide because I get it every year, right?
08:54You go out.
08:54You go and you get it every year.
08:56And it's just the Lindy Sports draft guide.
08:59Yeah.
08:59The draft guide.
09:00Here are the notes that I...
09:02First thing that I wrote.
09:03Over the Philadelphia Eagles.
09:05Can you see that?
09:05It says S-E-C in red letters.
09:10Yes.
09:11Yes.
09:12And then it says younger, faster on the other side.
09:16Yes.
09:17I practice what I preach.
09:18And you know who fits that?
09:19Henry Ruggs.
09:21Henry Ruggs III fits that bill right there.
09:24I like him.
09:25I like him.
09:25And here's the thing.
09:27You're going to go from 21 to what?
09:31You can go...
09:31The Niners are at 13.
09:33Yeah.
09:34You can move...
09:34You can deal with them.
09:36Yeah.
09:36I think I heard...
09:38And we got...
09:38You know, I do the show on Fox with Lincoln Kennedy from the Raiders.
09:42They're going to go defense first.
09:44They like that corner.
09:45So, they're going to go defense first.
09:47I think you can get Lamb or Ruggs in that spot.
09:53And Howie already went from 13 to 2.
09:55Going from 21 to, you know, 12.
09:58Oh, yeah.
09:58Yeah, yeah.
09:59Timeout.
10:00Timeout.
10:0013 to 2 for a quarterback.
10:03You've got to be careful how much you overvalue some of these players.
10:07I don't know if there's anybody worth going that high.
10:09I mean, I would be willing to go to the Falcons at 16 if Ruggs is there.
10:16If Ruggs is there.
10:17If Ruggs is there at 16 and the Falcons don't want him, I would go up and get him.
10:24I wouldn't go up and get Justin Jefferson at 16.
10:27Well, I don't want Justin Jefferson.
10:29Listen, the kid can play.
10:30But he's best out of the slot.
10:32They don't need another slot guy.
10:35They need an outside receiver who's a weapon.
10:38Who's a playmaker.
10:40They kind of get a play.
10:41I'm going to lose my mind if they don't come away with a playmaker, Sal.
10:45You can tell.
10:45Listen, we've been locked up for a while.
10:48I'm going to go crazy if they don't get a playmaker on the outside.
10:52Yeah, I'll tell you what.
10:54They need a playmaker and they should be able to get at least two playmakers in this draft.
11:01All right.
11:02All right.
11:02Now, before we get to the questions, you covered a lot of drafts.
11:08Yeah.
11:08I want the Eagles' best pick and the Eagles' worst pick in your eyes where you were like, what?
11:17Oh, wow.
11:19There's a lot of bad picks.
11:21I mean, let me tell you.
11:22You go back to Antone Davis.
11:24I've been covering the Eagles since 93.
11:28So, this is my 27th draft.
11:3125 for ESPN.
11:34Two for the Philadelphia Inquirer.
11:36I'm going to blow your mind right now because the best pick in Eagles' history was Nick Foles.
11:48I can't argue with you.
11:49I was going to say Brian Westbrook, but.
11:51The best pick in Eagles' history was that guy back there.
12:00I can't argue with a parade, man.
12:02That I can't argue with.
12:04That's it.
12:05I'm going to write that down.
12:07Yeah.
12:07You can't argue with a parade.
12:10That's where you, that's your mic drop.
12:13That's it, man.
12:14That's great.
12:14Like, to me, Chase Utley is the greatest Philly of all time, I think.
12:20I do.
12:21I mean, I love Michael Jack, don't get me wrong, but Chase Utley, I love him.
12:28All right.
12:28Well, that's for our second 19 crimes.
12:31That's the second round table, yeah.
12:34Call up the people at 19 crimes.
12:36And, of course, one of our great people tonight that's in on our virtual Zoom meeting is going to win a trip, thanks to our good friends at Philly Sports Trips and phillysportstrips.com.
12:51They're going to go to either D.C. or New York on one of those Eagle trips.
12:55I did the Miami trip last year.
12:57It was awesome.
12:58Vince and the guys do a great job.
12:59So, but give me your worst pick.
13:04Like, the only times I've screamed and I'm texting the GM feverishly.
13:10I already texted Howie like 10 times.
13:12Like, I'm already bow-beating him.
13:15Let's take some questions.
13:16Don't let anybody else make that pick.
13:18All right?
13:18Let's take some questions and let me think about that a little bit.
13:21All right.
13:23All right.
13:24Let's get, let's do this.
13:27With Glenn Phillips has a great one.
13:30Can we get Glenn up here?
13:32Because Glenn's got a great for the worst one.
13:35Hey, Glenn.
13:36Hey, what's up, man?
13:37How you doing, brother?
13:38Good, man.
13:39That's G from Wallyford.
13:41That's right.
13:42What's going on, buddy?
13:43Well, just living the dream, man.
13:45I'm trapped in my basement, Zooming with you guys.
13:47That's beautiful, man.
13:49It's going to be a lot of fun tomorrow night.
13:51We've got a real event.
13:52Oh, absolutely.
13:54I've been dying for this.
13:55All right.
13:56You got to tell Southpaw.
13:58The Eagles' worst ever pick.
14:01Well, at first, I thought of Mimoula, but it's got to be the fireman, right?
14:07The fireman.
14:07Fireman Sam.
14:08Danny Watkins.
14:09Danny Watkins.
14:10I think he's the absolute worst.
14:13Without a doubt.
14:14I agree with that.
14:15You got a question, G?
14:16You got a comment?
14:16You got a statement on this draft?
14:18What are you thinking?
14:18Well, you know, we talked about it the other day and about the, you know, trading up or giving up too much.
14:26Now, after hearing about the rumors about Jerry Judy's knee,
14:30if he starts to slide, do you take a chance?
14:33Or what do you give up to move up to get him if he starts to slide closer, like, through the teams for a guy like Jerry Judy?
14:41Because I think most people like him the best, right?
14:43Well, I don't, but I'm with you.
14:45You like C.D. Lamb, don't you, the best?
14:47I like C.D. Lamb the best.
14:48I like Lamb and Ruggs are my favorite.
14:51For this offense, I think Judy is a smooth, and look, I've seen every tape.
14:58We do that college football show on Saturdays, so I'm looking at him.
15:01He's a smooth cat.
15:03He can play in this league.
15:05But I think the dynamic, to hit the home run, I think Lamb and Ruggs are potential home run hitters.
15:11Sal, what do you say?
15:12No, I agree with you.
15:14I think it's Ruggs one, Lamb two, Jefferson three, and I'm not even sure I take a flyer on Judy.
15:23I'm not sure that I do at all.
15:25So if Judy's there at 21 and the other three are gone, I'm either picking at 21 or I'm moving down and trying to get extra picks.
15:35I'm not sure, I don't think that this year, because, is a year at all that you want to take any chances with any players.
15:42And I think that if you do move up, you have to get that draft capital back like how he did in 2010.
15:50Remember, let me look at my notes here.
15:53You know, how he moved down in the second round, I believe four times in that draft.
15:5855, 59, 71, and 86.
16:02So even though he moved up and put some draft capital into Brandon Graham, he recouped it later.
16:09And I think you have to do that in this draft.
16:11To me, listen, you're going to hear a buzzword coming out of this draft.
16:16The buzz phrase is roster construction.
16:20You want your roster set.
16:22You don't want to be fooling around, because when Roger Goodell flips the switch and says it's go time, you've got to be ready.
16:31So what do you think happens?
16:32I mean, you know, we're making, I mean, it's going to be historical tomorrow night.
16:36It's the first virtual draft.
16:39And I'm sure there's going to be glitches, and I've got to ask you about that in a moment.
16:42But from then until if there even is a training camp, all those OTAs are going to have to be done virtually.
16:51Yeah, there's not going to be any kind of spring practices.
16:55The organized team activities are done.
16:57Forget it.
16:58Mini camps, all done.
17:00The first time that these players will get into their facilities, the earliest that I think will happen, is late July.
17:07Late July is when they'll actually, coaches will get their hands on the players.
17:12Medical staff will get their hands on the players.
17:15Earliest in July.
17:16And there'll be a lot of heavy testing of everybody.
17:20But see, the NFL, as NFL Players Association Executive Director DeMar Smith said yesterday, NFL's got to be worried about the PR optics of this.
17:32If the NFL players are getting tested and everybody else is having a hard time getting tested to get back to work, that's bad, bad optics for professional sports.
17:42Because that's why you keep seeing the NBA kick the can down the road and MLB saying, well, we don't know whether we're going to play or not or how we're going to do it.
17:51Because they want to make sure that people who have to go back to work to feed their families, and it's the right thing to do.
17:57Right.
17:57Right.
17:58The right thing to do.
17:59Have the chance to get tested to get back to work.
18:01It's fascinating, this whole, how we do reopen and what transpires.
18:08There's talk about college football because we don't know.
18:11The CDC came out yesterday and talked about the idea of a second wave that comes in the fall, that they're going to move college football to February 2021.
18:21And they would run college football from February 2021 to Memorial Day.
18:27And if you see the smile on my face, it's because it would be 10 months of football.
18:34Yeah.
18:35From your lips.
18:37Do you like that idea?
18:39I like any idea that gets everybody back to work safely.
18:42Yeah.
18:42Amen, brother.
18:44Amen.
18:44Let's get to Bob, because Bob has a couple thoughts on the draft.
18:51Bob, what do you say, buddy?
18:53Good evening.
18:56How you doing?
18:56Good, buddy.
18:59Give Sal a question, brother.
19:07Yeah, I think we got a little, some little issues.
19:12Hold it, Bob.
19:14I'll tell you what.
19:14Sit tight.
19:15We'll come back to you, okay?
19:17Let's first go to Adam, because Adam, Adam's interesting because he has, he's been hearing the rumors,
19:24and he doesn't like what he's hearing.
19:26Adam, are you there?
19:32So Adam wants, says, whatever.
19:34I'm here, guys.
19:36There you go, Adam.
19:38Tell Sal.
19:38Yeah, your connection's a little iffy, buddy.
19:43How about this?
19:43How about I give Sal your question?
19:46And you be safe, man.
19:47Thanks for hanging with us.
19:49Sal, Adam does not want to trade Zach Ertz.
19:53I do, but Adam doesn't.
19:56I don't understand why you would trade Zach Ertz.
20:02Zach Ertz is one of the most valuable players on this football team.
20:06Zach Ertz moves the chains.
20:08Zach Ertz is a Super Bowl hero.
20:10Zach Ertz is the best friend of Carson Wentz.
20:12If you're talking about building a team that's Carson Wentz friendly,
20:18you start with Zach Ertz.
20:21It starts with Zach Ertz.
20:24All right, let me play devil's advocate, all right?
20:28You're going to have to pay Zach Ertz a lot of money.
20:31You have another tight end who you have control of,
20:36who is very, very good.
20:38And you would also agree that as much as we love Zach
20:42and as much as Carson loves Zach,
20:45he could be overloving Zach a little bit
20:47to the point where he's turning off all the players
20:50where he's been a lot of focus to Ertz.
20:53Now, I love Ertz.
20:54I'm not looking to move him,
20:56but if I can get what I need to get from a value standpoint,
21:03then I'll do it.
21:05What are you going to get for a tight end?
21:07And who's going into a major contract?
21:12Yeah, well, that's the thing.
21:13Well, you saw what Miami gave out this offseason.
21:16Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
21:19It's A, misguided, in my view, Cus, to trade him.
21:23B, I think it's going to be hard to get in any kind of real value for him.
21:26Well, that's, again, I'm not going to move him
21:28if I can't get no value.
21:29Yeah.
21:29But if I got value...
21:31Then what would value be?
21:33Just define that for me.
21:34Well, if I got a first-round pick, I got a second-round pick, I'm in.
21:39Give me a one.
21:40I'm in.
21:41If you could get a first-round pick for Zach Gertz,
21:43you should be making $10 million a year.
21:45You should be the general manager.
21:46I should be the general manager.
21:49I should be.
21:50All right, let's do another one.
21:54I'm going to give you a battlefield promotion, general manager Cus.
21:58Listen, I want to Dalvin Cook, all right?
22:01I got my own...
22:02Listen, I'm there with Baldy breaking down tape, man.
22:05I know what I know, all right?
22:08I'm going to be selling this tomorrow.
22:12I hope he's watching this right now.
22:14I hope so, too.
22:15You know that Novocare's got some spies on Zoom.
22:20There's no question about it.
22:21All right, let's try Bob.
22:26I think we got Bob back.
22:27I want Bob to ask you a question.
22:29You there?
22:30There he is.
22:31How are you, Bob?
22:32How are you guys doing?
22:33Good, buddy.
22:34I brought up the question about, you know, Ertz, and I was on mute there.
22:38But, you know, I don't want to get rid of him either.
22:40I mean, I love him.
22:40But we got Dallas Goddard, who I think is going to be, personally, I don't know about
22:47as good as Ertz, but has the talent to be somewhat as good as Ertz.
22:52But we got to start building around Carson with some younger receivers.
22:55I mean, we got Jeffrey, who, you know, I think he's going to be gone.
22:59We're going to trade him away, hopefully.
23:02Dijak, you know, he's hurt.
23:04I like Ruggs, you know, Jefferson, those guys.
23:06I don't think we're going to get Lamb, obviously.
23:08I think he's going to go in the top 10, personally.
23:11But I think we got to start building some receivers to help Wentz, you know, help Wentz
23:17out, to be honest with you.
23:18I mean, we can't rely on what we currently have, in my opinion.
23:23Yeah.
23:24Good.
23:25No, you're right.
23:26You got to get weapons.
23:27Sal?
23:28Thoughts?
23:29No, no, I agree.
23:30Got to get weapons.
23:31I think Ruggs is going to be the first receiver off the board.
23:34I think everybody's seeing what you're seeing, Ant.
23:36Everybody's seeing what I'm seeing.
23:38Everybody's seeing what you're seeing, Bob, that, you know, Ruggs is the best route runner.
23:44He is the home run hitter.
23:46And, you know, when you look at him on tape, Ruggs lines up in a lot of different spots
23:51and runs the entire route tree.
23:53He's not just a nine route guy where you just let him loose.
23:57He reminds me of the early Deshaun Jackson.
24:00Early in his career, before the concussions, Deshaun went over the middle.
24:06And ran the entire route tree.
24:08Now, I'm not saying that's what I want Ruggs to do, but he can do it.
24:13So, I'm taking Ruggs out of the equation because I think he's going to be gone.
24:18And I think it'd be too prohibitively expensive to go up and get him.
24:22I think Lamb is in play maybe at 16.
24:26But, again, everybody's seeing what we're seeing.
24:28So, to me, I don't think you package a draft picks in Ertz to go up and get Ruggs.
24:40I would not do that.
24:41That's not something I would do.
24:44And Atlanta already just got a tight end in the offseason.
24:48Right, right.
24:49So, the thing is, though, let's talk about the Dallas Goddard, Zach Ertz.
24:54All right, do me a favor.
24:54Hold that thought for one second, Sal Pal, because I want to hear you break this down, okay?
24:59And I want to hear your thoughts on Ngakwe, another issue I want to talk about.
25:05But, listen, we are presented tonight by our great friends at 19 Crimes Wine, all right?
25:11You've seen the 19 Crimes label on the wine shelves everywhere.
25:15The story of 19 Crimes Wine comes from the late 1700s to the late 1800s.
25:21Now, this is you and I.
25:22We love stories, Sal.
25:24We're story guys.
25:25Both work the Inquirer.
25:27Both were eight-stained wretches.
25:31I'll tell you about 19 Crimes Wine.
25:34162,000 men and women were transported by boat from the United Kingdom to a remote island,
25:41across the world, for committing one of 19 Crimes.
25:45You know what that is?
25:46These people were convicts, current colonists, who helped form and build Australia.
25:5119 Crimes Wine is a good piece of these drogues, the rules they broke, and the colony they built.
25:57The wine labels actually come alive and they speak to you.
26:02You've got to download the Living Wine Labels app and point your phone toward our labels.
26:08They convict on the, the convict on the label will tell you their story.
26:12How amazing is that?
26:12You can also earn rewards by becoming a 19 Crimes insider.
26:17Just so the 19 Crimes rewards can check it all out.
26:21All right.
26:22You've got to tell me about Ertz and got it.
26:25Wait a minute.
26:26There's a young man here.
26:29Vince Rizzuto, who says, I have a great question for Sal Powell.
26:33Not only is Foles the best pick, he agrees with me, we traded him for Bradford for picks
26:38that helped us get Wentz.
26:40And then Bradford gets traded just in time for Wentz to start week win.
26:44My question for Sal is, do we have to thank Chip Kelly for the Super Bowl?
26:50Now, Vince Rizzuto might be an alias for a guy up in New Hampshire in his house, Chip Kelly.
26:57I don't know.
26:58I'm just wondering about that.
27:00And he also runs, he also runs Philly sports trips.
27:04Listen, Vince, uh, you know, I'm not kidding about Nick Foles.
27:08You know, I, I just think it's when you look at that Super Bowl team, the magic that happened
27:16can't be duplicated.
27:17It really can't.
27:19And it's proven to be true because the Eagles have been tried to do it and to beat the Patriots
27:26the way they did.
27:27It really took the magic of one player to me to prevail in unbelievable circumstances
27:37against all odds, against the greatest quarterback in history and the greatest coach in history.
27:43And that's why I vote for Nick Foles.
27:45You know, we go to those press conferences at NovaCare and they're in a conference room
27:50where all the players gather and there are four players on the wall.
27:54You know what they are, right?
27:56Yeah.
27:56They are Tommy McDonald.
27:59Bedmerich.
27:59Steve Van Buren.
28:02Minister of Defense.
28:04Right.
28:05And the fourth one is.
28:07Go ahead.
28:08Give it to me.
28:08What's the fourth one?
28:10The fourth one is Nick Foles.
28:12No, it's Chuck Bedmerich.
28:15So which one are we taking off of the wall?
28:17Wait, but I'm trying to think about what you're, oh, you want to go take Chuck Bedmerich?
28:21No, no.
28:22We got to say, which one are we taking off the wall?
28:24Chuck Bedmerich.
28:25No.
28:26That's what I'm saying.
28:26No.
28:27You're taking a concrete trolley off and you're putting your boy Nick Foles on.
28:30And by the way, I'm still a Wentzman.
28:33All right?
28:35I'm still a Wentzman.
28:36I know your boy won and I know he was fantastic and that book that you wrote was sensational.
28:44But I love Carson and I want Carson's going to win.
28:48I believe in that kid.
28:50I do too.
28:51And I do love Carson.
28:52I think he's a great young quarterback.
28:54And if you look at the Eagles, they run 12 personnel, two tight ends, more than any other
28:59team in the league.
29:01They quote unquote live in 12 personnel.
29:04So if you're taking Ertz out of the equation, you better get somebody with Goddard.
29:10Okay.
29:10I disagree with that.
29:12So what you want to change the approach completely.
29:15Yes.
29:16Yeah.
29:17Why do I want to be in 12 personnel when I can go down the field and get chunk plays?
29:22They're forced to be in 12 personnel because they have no down the field threat.
29:28They have to be in 12 personnel.
29:30They got nothing down the field.
29:32He has had nobody.
29:34There's no chunk plays.
29:36They have to use wheel routes to get their chunk plays, whether it was Sproles or Sanders
29:41last year.
29:43Their only playmaker are either your tight end or your back out of the backfield.
29:48That's why they're in 12 personnel.
29:50Give me pay.
29:54I sat and talked with Andy, left and right.
29:57Give me Tyreek Hill.
29:59And then you don't forget about 12 personnel.
30:02Yeah.
30:02Well, if you have Patrick Mahomes a second, that's a different story.
30:05Yeah.
30:05Right.
30:06Yeah.
30:06But the, you know, the whole league is predicated on the short passing game right now.
30:10The whole league.
30:11That's why you're playing press coverage.
30:13The only way who's the only team that's gotten away with throwing the ball downfield, home
30:17run hitters is Andy.
30:20And Andy was behind against Tennessee behind against San Francisco.
30:26Okay.
30:26Patrick Mahomes, the second rescued him by doing plays off the script.
30:35And Carson's not an off the script quarterback anymore because he can't run like he used to.
30:41I, I, first of all, listen, I love Mahomes.
30:44So you, you and I both, we love the kid, but you can't look at, because they were, they
30:49fell behind.
30:49It was an anomaly against Tennessee.
30:51The Niners have a good defense, but, and I'll agree with you that he extends three straight
30:57games, Houston, Tennessee, and the Tennessee game was, you watch that Tennessee game was
31:02crazy.
31:02That Tennessee game, three games.
31:04They came back in the second half because of one kid, Patrick Mahomes, the second Andy
31:08Reed didn't win that Superbowl.
31:09I didn't win that Superbowl either.
31:11He sure did.
31:12Yeah.
31:13I mean, get the, and what about, you know, you can say what you want about Wentz and I
31:16agree with you, he's not Mahomes when it comes to movement, but he's not Nick Foles stiff
31:21either.
31:22The guy can extend plays.
31:24All right.
31:24So if you're telling me we're getting rid of Ertz and we are going to a completely different
31:29offense so that Dallas Goddard is the Travis Kelsey of this football team, that would you
31:34tell me?
31:35Well, I'm not telling you he's Travis Kelsey.
31:39Okay.
31:39Okay.
31:40Okay.
31:40By the way, neither is Ertz.
31:42But Ertz is Ertz.
31:44He's not Kittle and he's not, and he's not Kelsey.
31:47He's closer to those two guys.
31:49Let's, let's take another question.
31:51All right.
31:51Let's do it.
31:53Real quick.
31:54Tell me about Agakwe because listen, if I can somehow get this kid and you follow him
32:00on Instagram, you follow him on social media, he's dying to become an eagle.
32:05That front with Agakwe off the edge would be sick.
32:11Yeah, they need, and they need another edge rusher.
32:14So you give Jacksonville your first round pick in 2021.
32:19And Zach Ertz.
32:24I'm just teasing.
32:25No, no, no, no.
32:26No.
32:26I mean, if you're telling me I'm getting an edge rusher for Zach Ertz.
32:30And part of a package.
32:32Yeah.
32:32The other thing though, is you got to pay this kid too, you know?
32:35Yeah.
32:35But I'd rather pay the edge rusher than the tight end.
32:39Yep.
32:39No, I'm, that I'm going for.
32:42All right.
32:42All right.
32:43See, I got, I'm getting to around my way of thinking, Sal.
32:47I love it.
32:49All right.
32:50How many draft picks do you anticipate the Eagles taking offense and defense?
32:55You know, I think this is a draft where you absolutely have to get younger and faster
33:02at every position.
33:03And unlike other drafts where you don't want to draft for need, I think in this case, you
33:09have to fill holes on this team.
33:12Speed receiver, number one.
33:16Linebacker, depth at the offensive line, depth at the cornerback position.
33:20And I would definitely take more than one receiver in this draft.
33:25So I, so I would say, you know, two thirds of the draft has to be offense.
33:30I think, you know, I go back to, you know, I always look at what happened during the season
33:36and what was wrong with the team.
33:38What was wrong with the team was in two games, Seattle came in here and held them to 10 points.
33:45If they score two more scores, a touchdown and a field goal, the season looks completely
33:51different, completely different.
33:53And I agree with you.
33:55They need to get more production and more explosiveness, but I don't want to hurt what
33:59they do.
34:00I don't want to tear it all down and start over again.
34:05This, cause this is not the year to do that.
34:08This is not the year to tear it all down and say, we're going to start.
34:13We're not, we're going, we're getting away from 12 personnel and we're running nine routes
34:17and see what happens.
34:18This is not the year to do that.
34:20I hear you.
34:21It's a great point.
34:21It's a, it's a, it's a great point that you bring up, but I will, I will say this though.
34:25I mean, they've been really bad at that position.
34:30I mean, there is historically bad.
34:33I mean, yes.
34:34And if you look at, I mean, you could just, you could talk about the Seattle games.
34:38How about the lions game?
34:39How about the Falcons game?
34:41How about the drops that happened that cost them games?
34:44I mean, there's five games that they lost because of bad receiver play and or drops.
34:53And I, and I think they stopped, they, the 12 personnel was strictly out of necessity.
34:58Cause I don't know.
35:01You tell me, I trust your eyes.
35:03When you look at Wentz and I saw Frank with the strong Jackson, he can, he can get all out
35:10there.
35:10He's got a strong arm.
35:11He's got a, I'll go back his rookie year when he got picked by Gary Slick, if you remember
35:18that, but it was the right play because he had man on the outside and it was Aguilar,
35:26but it was the right play man on the outside to try to get a, take a shot on first down.
35:33So here's a question from Michael.
35:36Born Freund could how he reach out to his old friend, Joe Douglas and get up to number
35:4411 to take their choice of wide receiver.
35:47You know, I think you'd have to mortgage a lot of picks to go from 21 to 11.
35:55Uh, but if you want rugs desperately, in my view, that's where you got to go.
36:02So yeah, you got to make a deal with the, you got to make a deal with the jets because
36:07if you look at it, right, Jacksonville is not Cleveland's not picking a wide receiver
36:12at 10 Jacksonville at nine Cardinals at eight or not.
36:16They just took got Andre Hopkins, the Andre Hopkins, the first wide receiver in this draft
36:23should go at number 11, but the jets are probably going to pick, take an offensive tackle.
36:28That's it back to him. You think back then is going to be there?
36:31Well, I don't know. See what I'm hearing right now. Let me give you some Intel.
36:36I did some reporting before it came on the show.
36:40What I'm hearing is this at the top, very top of the draft.
36:44My sources are telling me this burrows, one chase young at the Redskins is two.
36:50The Dolphins move up to three and take Andrew Thomas, Andrew Thomas. Wow.
36:58The Dolphins take Andrew Thomas and they still hold on to the fifth pick.
37:02They keep the fifth pick because they think the giants want Thomas to me and everybody
37:08else in this draft. Thomas is the best offensive tackle.
37:11Yeah, I agree.
37:12He's Lane Johnson.
37:14Yeah, I agree.
37:14Andrew Thomas. He's tough. He does the right thing on and off the football field.
37:21Great personality, a great aggressiveness, coachability, all the intangibles.
37:29People like Wirfs because of the other side, but I agree with you.
37:32I think Thomas is the better tackle. He's a right tackle.
37:35I think he's better than Wirfs, who's a left tackle.
37:38You put Thomas on the field right now.
37:40Yeah.
37:40Put the helmet on him. He goes.
37:43Same thing with Chase Young.
37:45So that leads the Giants out in the cold at number four because they want Thomas.
37:51So then the Dolphins are still at five and the Dolphins are probably eyeing Justin Herbert
37:58to take instead of Tua.
38:02So then the Chargers make a deal with the Giants to jump ahead of the Dolphins
38:06and take Herbert at four.
38:08And then the Dolphins sit there at five and take Tua.
38:14Wow.
38:15That's wild.
38:18When the Lions are on the clock, it's going to be a really wild draft.
38:23Wow.
38:24See, I thought a Cuda would drop.
38:27Yeah.
38:29I think he would drop.
38:31Here's a question.
38:32Is there any, this is Nick, any chance how he takes a flyer on Marquise Lee?
38:39I don't believe so.
38:40No.
38:41Here's another one.
38:42Any chance Deshaun comes back and he's actually effective?
38:47I mean, to match a crystal ball question, but.
38:49Yeah.
38:50I think Deshaun's going to be a good player this year.
38:52I think so.
38:53I think.
38:53I hope so.
38:54But.
38:54I think Deshaun's going to be a contributor this year.
38:56I do.
38:57Okay.
38:57Every report that I've gotten, Deshaun is in, is in better shape than he's been in a
39:02while.
39:03He's hungry to prove himself.
39:05He wants one more contract.
39:07Right.
39:07Right.
39:08He wants one more contract.
39:10Vince wants to know about Jordan Mailata.
39:14How is his progress coming?
39:16Can he be any kind of safety net to Dillard?
39:19I do not believe so.
39:21I have not seen much progress.
39:22I really have not.
39:24That's one of those wasted draft picks.
39:26Wow.
39:27You see him pregame.
39:28You go down on the field pregame.
39:30I see you all the time.
39:31If you go in the end zone, on the visitor's side of the bench, where Jeff Stoutland is
39:37working out with the offensive linemen, he is still working Jordan Mailata, and he's
39:44still coaching him up to do the basic things.
39:47What do you think?
39:49And look, listen, we knew he was going to be a project, but you look at a kid that that
39:54big and that moves that well.
39:56What do you think the biggest holdup is, Sal?
39:59From what I can see, he's not flexible enough.
40:03He's easily beat by these more athletic defensive ends.
40:10He's not athletic enough.
40:12I don't know why they haven't made him a short yardage running back, put the ball in his
40:16hands.
40:16I really don't.
40:17There's a lot of questions from fans, from Eagles fans about running back.
40:23And I was talking to Eric DaCosta two days ago, the general manager of the Ravens.
40:28The Ravens had the most rushing attempts of any team in the league.
40:32And I was curious of what they were going to do at 28, because let's face it, if Mark
40:40Ingram, the second, is not hurt, they beat Tennessee in that game.
40:45Yeah, yeah.
40:46He was hurt, and he only had nine carries, and that forced him to throw the ball 59 times.
40:51Yeah.
40:51So I said, are you looking for depth at running back?
40:55And he said, Sal Pal, I see seven or eight running backs in this draft that can go in
41:03the first three rounds that can play in the NFL right now.
41:07And I think the Eagles should get one of them.
41:09Let me ask you, I have a guy that I love, all right?
41:13I've circled a guy that I love that you can get in the fourth round.
41:17From Florida State, Cam Akers.
41:21Oh, yeah.
41:22All right?
41:22They were a mess up front.
41:24They say second or third round for him, though, Cus.
41:28I was hoping a fourth round.
41:31I had seen stuff early.
41:33I mean, I like this kid from back, from just watching.
41:36They were a mess offensively.
41:37He had no blockers, and he was the only kid.
41:42And I'm telling you, I think he can play.
41:44Yep.
41:44I'll tell you this.
41:45Again, going back to roster construction, you have to pick safe.
41:50No more injury players.
41:52Stay in the SEC.
41:54Please, God, stay in the SEC.
41:56Big 12.
41:58Big 10.
42:01That's it.
42:02Don't go out there to the Pac-12 anymore.
42:05This has got to be one of those safe drafts.
42:07And I agree with you.
42:09Would you look at safety?
42:10How are you?
42:12Let's look at, we haven't talked much about the secondary.
42:15And having, it's a big deal, right?
42:21Because you now have the Goblin playing safety.
42:26All right?
42:27Big, big question mark.
42:28And you got McLeod, who lost this, clearly lost, was behind last year with a step.
42:34How do you examine that safety position right now?
42:37And you lost the leader of Malcolm Jenkins.
42:40I think it's a big experiment.
42:43I do.
42:44I mean, Jalen Mills, we asked Jim Schwartz countless times during the year, can Jalen Mills play safety?
42:53Do you want him to play safety?
42:54His answer was always no.
42:56Jalen Mills' answer was always no.
42:58Because, you know, there's no money in safety.
43:00Right, right.
43:01There's money in a corner.
43:02Right, right.
43:03And you can't be grudged guys that want to get paid.
43:06But Jalen Mills has proved to be brittle, foot injured.
43:10And now he's got to be running all over the field and hitting people.
43:14So it's a big, big question mark.
43:18But I have a lot of confidence, I do, in this coaching staff.
43:22I think it's a really good coaching staff.
43:25I think that the world of Doug Peterson, you got to remember, making the playoffs, right?
43:33Three straight years.
43:34Only four coaches now have done it currently.
43:37Andy, Doug, Sean Payton, and the best of all time, Belichick.
43:43So you got to put Peterson in that conversation right now where he's a top five head coach in the NFL.
43:48And in my view, you have one of the smartest coaches in the NFL in Jim Schwartz.
43:54So those two guys are going to figure some stuff out.
43:58But to your point, long term with Carson, he's got to grow up with a young wide receiver who's going to be there and going to be the linchpin of what they do offensively.
44:12Not only for this year and next, but for the next four or five years.
44:16A guy that is invested, is going to wind up being a franchise.
44:20We're looking for a franchise wide receiver.
44:23Julio Jones is what you're looking for, right?
44:26Yeah, well, they don't come around too often.
44:28Yeah, no, you're right on.
44:30What about elsewhere in the secondary?
44:33The Douglas tweets are pretty ominous.
44:35How do you, yes, Slay, and who else you got?
44:39How confident are you with the rest of the corners?
44:43Yeah, no, I mean, obviously, Darius Slay I like.
44:47I love Avante Maddox.
44:49I think he'll stick his nose in anywhere.
44:51He's a tough young man.
44:54I actually like Craven LeBlanc.
44:56I think he's also very tough, a gamer for sure.
44:59You know, Slay's now the guy who is going to do what Jim Schwartz has never had his number one corner do,
45:08and that is travel with the number one receiver.
45:11Now you got that guy.
45:13I love that, by the way.
45:15But, you know, the interesting thing that Belichick, and, you know, Schwartz was hired by Belichick.
45:21That was his first mentor in the league.
45:24If you read Mike Lombardi's book, Gridiron Genius, he talks about how smart Jim Schwartz is right from the get-go,
45:34football knowledge, economics major at Georgetown University, you know, all-world smarts.
45:42You know, Schwartz learned from Belichick, and what Belichick has done recently is taken his number one corner
45:51and put it on the number two wide receiver and then double the one wide receiver.
45:58And I could see them doing that because right now the Eagles are playing almost exclusively single high safety
46:06and a press man coverage because of the short passing game.
46:10Yeah.
46:10That's avant-garde right now in the NFL.
46:12I know, but how'd that work out against the Vikings in the Dome?
46:18How'd that work out against the Cowboys in that Dome?
46:22You know, how'd that work out against the Dolphins when they go down there and lose and give up 38 points?
46:31Yeah.
46:31Didn't work out so good.
46:33Yeah, my only thing is, like, I get it, but I think Slay was a really good –
46:39I'm excited about Slay.
46:41I think at least he's a professional corner.
46:46So we got a question, Bob Bradley.
46:49Bobby, are you still there?
46:50You can hear us, right?
46:51Honestly, I think we get – no, no, no.
46:53We get burned a lot with Mills at safety.
46:56Do the Eagles take a safety in the second round?
46:58Is that your question, Bob?
47:00Yes.
47:01Yeah.
47:01So, Bob, I don't know if you burn a second-round pick on a safety there.
47:08I just don't know if you can afford to do that because, you know, if you're a pick – they pick what?
47:1553rd in the second round.
47:17I think 53rd in the second round, that's a pretty high pick.
47:22So I'm not sure that you would do it there.
47:24I think you might do it later in the draft, Bob.
47:27I think you might do it later in the draft, but not in the second round.
47:30If you still have that third-rounder, the back-end third-rounder at 103, you could do a safety there.
47:37You know what I'm saying?
47:38I think we get them – you know, we've got to get somebody early.
47:43You know, Mills isn't going to do well at safety.
47:46I think he needs to get back to the corner position, and we need to get a safety that can play the position.
47:54Kind of like, you know, try to find somebody, and nobody can ever amount to Jenkins,
47:58but somebody that can hit and can be the quarterback of the defense, you know.
48:05Yeah, I agree.
48:06Well, the one thing about Schwartz over the years that we've seen is he will admit his mistakes,
48:12and he'll make a change.
48:13Yeah.
48:14I don't see that enough on the offensive side.
48:18I think the offensive side, they fall in love with players.
48:20They get connected to guys, and they wind up – you know, obviously,
48:26they're way too long with Nelson Aguilar.
48:28Nelson Aguilar should not have been on the football team.
48:31They threw money at –
48:32Don't get me started.
48:33They threw money at Alshon.
48:35And I get it.
48:36You know, you get a soft spot for these guys.
48:38They were great in the Super Bowl.
48:39Alshon Jeffery was, you know, a big player in the Super Bowl.
48:41But how in the world could you extend a guy?
48:43And then it was a colossal mistake.
48:47They get tied up in guys.
48:49And, you know, bringing Deshaun Jackson back, that was sort of like, you know,
48:53you want to make the big moves with your head and the little moves with your heart.
49:00Yeah.
49:00Yeah.
49:01That's a brilliant – that's brilliant, Sal.
49:04Brilliant.
49:05I love it.
49:06All right.
49:07Once in a while.
49:08I was told –
49:09I come up with them once in a while.
49:10I was a genius.
49:11I was told, look for a lot of trades, this draft.
49:14Are you going to – what are your intel?
49:17You got a lot of intel.
49:19What's your intel telling you about movement for this draft?
49:22You got a seatbelt in the house.
49:24Buckle up the seatbelt.
49:26Strap up the combat boots.
49:29Once the Lions are on the clock, it's going to get wild, wild west out there.
49:35All the way down to 28.
49:39Wow.
49:39Let me give you – I spent a lot of time on the phone with Eric DaCosta.
49:45You know, I think the Baltimore Ravens do such a great job and have done such a great job over the years picking Pro Bowl players and Hall of Fame players.
49:54He said to me, he said to me, we want to make trades.
50:00This is at 28.
50:02We're trying to buy a car.
50:03We hope the dealership's open.
50:05We're accepting all offers.
50:07You know, that's basically – and that's at 28.
50:08We know how he's trying to move up.
50:10Right.
50:11But also, how he's got to have the flexibility and he'll look at it and say, do I have to move down?
50:16So, at 21, you have to be nimble on your feet.
50:20Do you – what are the players?
50:24Because there's about a dozen players that could get moved as well.
50:30Do you see – you know, Ngakwe is a guy that could certainly be moved tomorrow night.
50:35The Jacksonville Jaguars are open for business, Fournette and Ngakwe.
50:40You know, the Eagles were linked to him.
50:42I don't think that makes any sense.
50:44Do you hear anything with Fournette and the Eagles?
50:48I don't get it.
50:50No, I don't get that either.
50:52He doesn't fit their profile.
50:54No.
50:54No.
50:55He's a volume back.
50:56Yeah.
50:57He's a guy that you're going to have to pay him.
50:59I don't get the allure with Fournette at all.
51:02No.
51:02But here's the thing.
51:03See, and going back to what I was saying about the offensive coaches, Cush,
51:08they let Greg Ward languish forever on the bench.
51:13Yes.
51:14And everybody in the locker room was telling them, Greg Ward has got it.
51:20He could play.
51:22Put him in.
51:23And I'll say this, and I've said it on Mikey's show,
51:27Greg Ward should have went in at quarterback after Wentz got hurt.
51:30You're right.
51:31You're right.
51:32I agree.
51:32I think you're right.
51:34Well, we don't have a package of plays.
51:36I mean, come on.
51:37Seriously.
51:38Go make a play.
51:40We go.
51:40You're right.
51:41I 100%.
51:42You don't think that offense would have rallied around a guy who can move like that?
51:46Yes.
51:47Let's get one more person up.
51:50Let's get Michael up.
51:52Michael.
51:53Good evening.
51:55Do we have Michael Fasano?
51:57Well, I'd like to get him up and have Mikey ask a question.
52:01And once again, thank you guys for being a part of this.
52:05This is so much fun.
52:06And thank you to the 19 crimes wine people.
52:10Oh, my God.
52:11Is this awesome?
52:12We're going to cut this open right afterwards.
52:14I'll be in your driveway, man.
52:16Beach chair, six foot, six feet away.
52:21That's a beauty.
52:22Well, the old chairs, you know, with the vinyl on them, right?
52:25Exactly.
52:26Like in South Philly, where we'd have it outside on the step.
52:35Yeah.
52:36My wife was like, why do you guys open up the garage and sit out in front of the garage?
52:41Yeah.
52:41That's all we had.
52:42That's what we had.
52:43We didn't have a backyard.
52:46We had a driveway and a front stoop.
52:47That's all we had.
52:48All right.
52:49Nick says, ultimately, Sal Pal, what did the Eagles do?
52:56Put on, you know, look at your crystal ball.
52:59With all knowledge you have, understanding that there could be some trades and all.
53:04So, what happens tomorrow night?
53:06I think the Eagles will try to make a statement tomorrow night in the first round.
53:12And I don't know whether they're going to be successful or not.
53:16A, because everybody knows what they're in the market for.
53:21And so, the price is going to be high.
53:23And the only guy, in my view, worth going up high to get is Ruggs, the wide receiver from
53:31Alabama, because he runs the entire route tree.
53:34He's a home run hitter.
53:35He's got great coachability.
53:37Everything on tape says he's going to be a success instantaneously in the NFL.
53:42If they don't get him and they have a chance to move up a couple of slots to get CeeDee Lamb,
53:48do that.
53:49If at 21, Justin Jefferson is sitting there, God bless.
53:55Please take him.
53:56Just take him.
53:57Just take him.
53:59Take him.
53:59Do you like Jeffrey?
54:01He's a slot guy, Sal.
54:02I got you.
54:04I understand.
54:05But just, they need, and he can run.
54:08He can run after the catch.
54:09I know he can.
54:10I know, listen.
54:11I think he's an NFL player.
54:12I think he's an NFL player.
54:14What would you do if you don't take him at 21?
54:18Well, listen.
54:19I'm hell bent on trading up.
54:21You know where I'm at.
54:22Yeah, I know.
54:22Well, what if you can't trade up, but I'm putting you on the clock, okay, because you're
54:25on the clock at 21, Jefferson's sitting there, the linebacker from Oklahoma's sitting there.
54:32What are you doing?
54:33I'm taking Jefferson.
54:34I'm forced to.
54:35You forced my hand.
54:36All right.
54:37But again, you don't want to tell me you want to change the whole offense.
54:40I do.
54:40You want to get away from 12 personnel.
54:42All right.
54:42So, wouldn't you rather have a healthy Deshaun Jackson, Greg Warren?
54:47I can't, yeah.
54:48You're asking me to count on Jackson again.
54:51Well, okay.
54:52You're taking him out of the picture completely?
54:54No, I'm not.
54:55But I also can't go away.
54:57That was a huge mistake that Howie made was counting on older players.
55:01Okay.
55:01But see, you got to make use of him if he's going to beat.
55:04No, listen.
55:04He's got a spot if he's healthy.
55:06I mean, yeah, he's got a spot.
55:07All right.
55:07So, let's start with he's healthy.
55:10Yeah.
55:11So, Deshaun Jackson's going to be on the football field.
55:13Right.
55:14Greg Ward is going to be on the football field.
55:18Right.
55:18Justin Jefferson is going to be on the football field right away with Ertz and Goddard and Miles Sanders and a little Boston Scott sprinkled in.
55:31As your Sproles-esque third back.
55:33Yeah.
55:34You know, I like it better with rugs on the one side.
55:39And, you know, I'll even have.
55:42And here's what I'm going to do.
55:44Here's what I'm going to do with Carson Wentz.
55:46I mean, I don't know from nothing.
55:48Right.
55:48I'm just a guy.
55:49Right.
55:50All right.
55:50You're just a guy.
55:51We're all just guys here.
55:53This is our team.
55:53This is what I would do right away.
55:56Bob, you're paying attention.
55:57Glenn, Adam, you're paying attention.
55:59Listen to this.
55:59This is what I'm doing right now.
56:01From day one that I get Carson in, I'm going to have him practice every day, throwing the ball out of bounds.
56:13One, two, three, out of bounds.
56:16One, two, three.
56:18One, two, out of bounds.
56:20Throw the ball away.
56:21You know who was number one in throwing the ball away last year and intentional rounding?
56:27Tom Brady.
56:29Tom Brady.
56:30He always is.
56:32That's how you play until you're 43.
56:34Tom Brady had 33 throwaways during 2019.
56:39The most in the NFL and more than he had in his previous two seasons combined.
56:45He also had the most intentional groundings of any court.
56:49Yeah.
56:49Carson, throw it away.
56:52All right.
56:52Live for another day.
56:54It's brilliant.
56:56Because if Carson Wentz is on the field in Seattle for four quarters, they win the game.
57:01Sound advice.
57:03That's beautiful.
57:04Guys, listen.
57:05We're out of time.
57:06This was so much fun.
57:08We thank you so much for hanging out with us.
57:11We hope we answered some questions.
57:13More importantly, listen, thank you for being safe.
57:17And thank you for being a part of it with us.
57:20You guys are the best.
57:22Thanks to our sponsor, 19 Crimes Wine.
57:24God bless you guys.
57:27Thanks, man.
57:28God bless Eagles fans.
57:30God bless Philadelphia.
57:31God bless 97.5, 19 Crimes Cuzz.
57:34God bless you and your family.
57:36Thank you, guys.
57:37We're all going to get through this, and we're all going to see each other at Lincoln Financial Field in September, and, you know, it's all going to be good.
57:46You'll see.
57:47Amen.
57:48Thank you, Ant.
57:49Thank you, guys.
57:50Thank you, Ant.
57:51Thanks, Sal.
57:52Thanks, guys.
57:54Go birds.
57:55Go birds.
57:56Birds.
57:57E-A-G-L-E-S.
58:00Eagles.
58:01Woo.
58:02How do you want?
58:03Stay safe, everyone.
58:04Stay safe, everyone.
