Analysts say the shift could send more cost-conscious shoppers to thrift stores and resale apps like Poshmark, Depop, and eBay. Pre-owned items are not subject to tariffs unless imported. The resale market was already expanding, as downloads for major resale apps rose 3% last quarter. Retailers like TJ Maxx may also benefit due to their existing U.S.-based surplus stock.
