Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi commenced a significant two-day visit to Saudi Arabia on Tuesday (April 22), marking the first visit by an Indian premier to Jeddah in 40 years.

00:21As a special gesture, Modi's aircraft was escorted by the F-15 fighter jets of the Royal
00:27Saudi Air Force in the Saudi airspace. Modi said the visit will strengthen the friendship
00:32between the two countries. During the visit, Modi is expected to sign at least six memorandum
00:38of understanding. Saudi Arabia has been a key supplier of oil to India for years. The Gulf
00:44Kingdom is also home to more than two million Indian nationals who have played a pivotal role
00:49in its labor market, helping construct many of the country's mega-projects while sending
00:54money in remittances back home each year.
