00:10The 61-year-old was dismissed following a 3-1 home defeat to relegation-threatened Derby County,
00:17a result that has virtually ended Albion's hopes of making the championship playoffs.
00:22Mowbray, who first managed the baggies from 2006-2009, returned in January after Carlos Corcoran departed for Valencia.
00:31At that time, Albion was seventh in the table.
00:35However, under Mowbray's leadership, the side recorded only five wins in 18 matches
00:39and now sit tenth, six points off the playoffs with just two games to go.
00:46Mark Venus has also left the club.
00:49Former midfielder James Morrison will take interim charge, supported by Damia Rubella and Boaz Myhill.
00:55A club statement said the club would like to place on record its thanks to Tony and Mark for their efforts,

01:06Tony and Mark will always be welcomed at the Hawthorns.
01:10Mowbray returned to management after a health scare in 2024, which led to his departure from Birmingham City.
01:17He had been diagnosed with bowel cancer and stepped away to receive treatment.
01:22In his first spell at Albion, he guided the club to the championship title in 2008 in an FA Cup semi-final.
01:30However, relegation from the Premier League followed and he left for Celtic in 2009.
01:36His departure means West Brom are now searching for their seventh permanent manager in under six years.

01:48They're probably the teams left in the competition now.
01:51And yeah, as I say, they just need to really dig deep.
01:54They need to perform at their absolute best.
01:56Say goodbye to what's happened in the past.
01:58Just focus on game by game and see what can happen before the end of this season.
