A Tesla whistleblower won a legal victory after a California appeals court reversed a ruling that dismissed her defamation case. Former engineer Cristina Balan raised concerns 2014 about a braking flaw and was subsequently fired. She has spent years pursuing legal action. Her claims were dismissed in arbitration, but the new ruling revives the case and may allow her to sue Tesla and Elon Musk in court. Balan said she wants to prove her innocence and restart proceedings. Balan is in remission from breast cancer.
