OpenAI and its legal team asked a judge to bar Elon Musk from further actions against the company and hold him accountable for alleged harm he has already caused, according to TechCrunch. OpenAI’s countersuit claims that Musk’s ongoing attacks, including a fake takeover bid, have already harmed the company and threatened further damage to its mission and public interest. The company was founded as a non-profit in 2015 and adopted a capped-profit model in 2019 and now plans to become a public benefit corporation. Musk’s lawsuit accuses OpenAI of straying from its original non-profit mission to benefit humanity.
