Rajasthan Royals' spin bowling coach Sairaj Bahutule said the team has been playing good cricket, but the results haven’t gone their way, reflecting on their close defeat to Lucknow Super Giants.

00:37I think when we had a partnership going, we could have finished it a couple of overs itself.

00:43But Avesh bowled that good over again, so we could have finished it.

00:48But again, we are absolutely calm, composed about it, and we just look forward for the next game.

00:54I think that the last over, which was a little expensive over for Sandeep Sharma,

01:06that doesn't mean that I can take anything away from Sandeep Sharma, because he's a fabulous bowler,

01:15and always bowled those important and tough overs.

01:20Definitely, we had less than 20 runs, maybe 10-15 runs.

01:24But I think we were set to chase that target, and the batters were,

01:30Jaiswal and Vaebhav had a good opening, and that was just continuing with Riyan and Yashasvi.

01:39But yeah, these things happen in T20 format, we have to accept it and move on.

01:45Sajjeev Sharma has continued in the second match.

01:50The second one, Vaebhav, Suryavanshi.

01:53Do you think that you have late debut?

01:56No, I don't think, because when the bright opportunity was standing,

02:02I think that the chance was important.

03:30Are you able to not finish any of miscommunication in any regards?

03:34Just one thing I can say, the clarity with us,

03:37with the support staff and the players,

03:39and in the dressing room is absolutely the best I have seen.

03:42Rahul is very clear about whatever the plans are, the game plans are.

03:46It's just that on that particular day, the execution from players didn't happen.

03:51And it was just in that last over, things didn't go away.

03:55So, because most of the time we were in the game,

03:57and we were playing good cricket.

03:59So, I just feel that we just didn't get over that finishing line.

05:04or he just faces the ball.

05:06His theory is watch the ball and hit the ball.

05:11You said obviously the team has been playing good cricket.

05:14But in the end, in a tournament like the IPL, every point matters and all that.

05:18But being an arspin who's been both following yourself on the coach,

05:23you and Shin got nothing more closely with the bowlers.

05:27And despite that, death over has been a major concern through the season.

05:33Could you identify what's going on?

05:35Why is the execution not being happening?

05:37If it's batting or bowling, you need partnerships.

05:42I think we may be lacking at times with the bowling partnerships.

05:48And death over is something which is so hard for all the bowlers in this format.

05:54Not only ours but the way other bowlers also have been trying to execute to the best of their ability.

06:01But it is a tough time for any bowler to bowl.

06:04But every game we have a plan.

06:06Every game we try to see how a bowler can go there and express himself and give his best.

06:13That's all I think we can give and that's what the process has been.

06:16We've been focusing on the process.

06:18Again, the results which is not in our control, has not been going our way.

06:23But again, we've got a few games left.

06:25We never know, you know, we can just get on a winning streak and cover up these couple of games.
