‘Will mobilise all resources,’ WB GUV CV Ananda Bose on Murshidabad Violence

Onboard, April 18, 2025 (ANI): While speaking on the Murshidabad violence West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose said that services of the Red Cross has been requested. He said, “…I'll be going to the rehabilitation camps in Malda. I have also requested the services of the Red Cross. They are distributing whatever is required there because the Red Cross is an international organisation that can even operate in war zones. We'll certainly mobilise all resources to bring relief and succour to the affected people...”

00:09You know, Governor is also President of the Red Cross Society.

00:12So they are distributing whatever is required there,

00:15drinking water, medical kits, food kits, clothes, whatever is required.

00:21Because Red Cross is an international organization,

00:23they can even operate in the war zones.

00:25So I requisitioned their services in a big way.

00:28And today I have asked the Chairman of Red Cross, Mr. Patnai,

00:32if need be, get volunteers from other districts also.

00:36We are also in touch with the national headquarters of the Red Cross.

00:40We will certainly mobilize all resources to bring relief and succor to the affected people.
