00:00I mean, I'm a supply teacher these days.

00:02I left full-time teaching due to the extreme violence

00:06and verbal abuse from students.

00:08It just became sort of an everyday occurrence.

00:11You were walking into the unknown every single day,

00:15not knowing what to expect.

00:17And there seemed to be no limits as to the behaviour

00:20that was exhibited towards you.

00:23I know you were diagnosed with PTSD a few years ago.

00:27And should I assume, or is this directly because

00:33of the experiences you had in school?

00:36Yes, totally.

00:37I mean, I'm very resilient, you know, loved my job,

00:40went in every day.

00:42But when you're subject to the same behaviours day in, day out,

00:45and walking into this atmosphere where you don't know

00:47what's going to happen, and, you know, your own personal safety,

00:51it takes its toll on your mental health.
