Critical teacher shortages across Tasmanian schools

Tasmanian classrooms were again full of students today as term two kicks off. But the principals of state schools are continuing to grapple with a shortage of teachers leaving up to 50 classes a day without a permanent teacher. The Education Department is trying to lure former teachers back into to classroom in a bid to shore up teacher numbers while a long-term solution to the shortage is found.
