00:06weeks of documenting my own journey i've had many people reach out to me in a similar situation to

00:10myself and i want to begin to help others on their own path and it starts with getting too

00:14mush at 84 john street where my journey began a free confidential group for anyone who feels like

00:20it's getting a bit too much room created specifically for people dealing with misuse

00:25and addictions whether it's you dealing with the problems firsthand or whether it's a loved one

00:29and you don't know how to manage it it's going to be a place where you don't feel embarrassed or

00:33guilty for the problems you have but you feel welcomed for who you are and what you're dealing

00:37with and the aim of it is to inspire you to kick start a new life and a new you i'll be sharing my

00:42own journey each meeting there'll be a topic of discussion and time for a group discussion you

00:47will also if comfortable enough have time to share your own story and problems hopefully inspire

00:52others i know the idea can seem quite daunting speaking and that's okay if you want to just

00:57come and listen and take it in but you're more than welcome to do so there'll be plenty of guests

01:01at the talks from all walks of life with limitless advice to help you and inspire you so believe me

01:07when i say it's not going to be one to miss there will be time at the end for private discussions

01:11if you don't feel comfortable enough speaking about it in the open i know i'm no expert i've got

01:16abundance of experience in situations so i can share my experience where i can hopefully you don't

01:23have to learn the hard way this is going to be a monthly group hopefully as it picks up traction

01:27it starts helping more and more people we'll start making it bi-weekly so every two weeks

01:32that's the aim anyway and just hopefully make it as accessible as possible to everybody if you do feel

01:37like this could help you or you know something it could then make sure you share it and get it to

01:42them because it could help change your life the date of the first session will be getting announced

01:46soon but for now keep on moving keep working hard to a better you one percent is better than zero percent
