00:00The National Food Authority eyes to expand the buffer stock of rice to 15 days.
00:05Rice buffer stocks are the supplies that can't be used during the times of emergency like typhoons or pandemics.
00:11As of now, the NFA aims to continuously buy rice to increase buffer stocks and help the local rice farmers gain profit.
00:18The NFA already bought almost 2 million sacks of rice from farmers,
00:22while the agency's inventory reached more than 7 million sacks of rice.
