00:00Members of the Press Corps of Malacanang,
00:02Munger ng umala po.
00:03In behalf of our Chief Philippine National Police,
00:06Police General Romel Francisco Marvill,
00:08allow me to read
00:09our statement, opening statement.
00:12This is in connection po
00:13sa pagpapanatili ng ating
00:15safety and security during this
00:17length and season.
00:19The Philippine National Police, in partnership with other
00:22law enforcement agencies,
00:24is fully committed to
00:25ensuring a safe, peaceful, and
00:27meaningful observance of Holy Week
00:29across the country.
00:32Through our operational
00:33guidelines, we call this
00:35Ligtas Sumba 2025,
00:38we have strategically
00:40deployed our personnel and mobilized
00:42force multipliers,
00:44ito po yung ating
00:45volunteer groups, na
00:47pumutulong sa ating kapulisan,
00:50to key areas of
00:51convergence. When we say
00:53key convergence areas, ito po yung
00:55ating mga simbahan, yung house of
00:58warships, yung ating
00:59tourist areas, yung ating
01:00terminals, the airports and
01:03ports, yung ating mga highways
01:05ay kasama po doon, and
01:06other busy establishments.
01:09So, mayro po tayong
01:10estimated of 65,000 more or more
01:12PVP personnel
01:14nationwide, na
01:16ide-deploy po sa terminal,
01:17transport hubs,
01:19pilgrimage sites,
01:21simbahan, tourist
01:22destinations.
01:23Ito po ay pinakasal sa aming
01:26guideline, ang magkaroon po
01:28ng enhanced police presence
01:30or visible po ang ating
01:31Philippine National Police.
01:34We will also augment
01:35mobile patrols, kasi po
01:37ang ating concentration
01:39ay sa highly populated
01:41areas. Now,
01:42maroon po mga kabahayan,
01:44mga subdivision areas,
01:45residential areas, ay
01:46naiwanan po mga bahay.
01:48So, ito din po ay isang
01:49focus namin.
01:51Now,
01:54we have not received
01:55any threat for that matter
01:56for our security and safety
01:58this length and season
01:59as of today,
02:00but on the part of the
02:02PNP,
02:03we remain on full alert,
02:05especially in
02:06historically vulnerable
02:07areas.
02:09Our intelligence units
02:10are closely coordinating
02:11with the armed forces
02:12of the Philippines,
02:13kasama namin dito yung
02:15Philippine Coast Guard,
02:16to preempt
02:17any threats
02:18from any groups.
02:20would want to
02:21mag-aroon po
02:24ng disorder
02:25yung ating
02:26bansa.
02:28So,
02:29as to our vital
02:29installations,
02:30we all have also
02:31increased
02:31deployment of our
02:33personnel
02:33around power plants,
02:35communication infrastructure,
02:36and transportation terminals.
02:40We are also
02:41closely coordinating
02:42with private security
02:44groups
02:44and local crisis
02:45management councils.
02:47Sinabi po natin
02:48good secretary
02:49kanina,
02:49mayroong mga
02:50possible road
02:51misshaps,
02:52sea misshaps.
02:53Ito po ay aming
02:54piyent perpanhani
02:56sa ngayon
02:56on the part
02:56of the
02:57Philippine National
02:57Police.
