People of Glasgow share their thoughts on bin worker strikes in Birmingham

With bin workers striking in Birmingham, we ask Glaswegians what they think. We reflect back on the Glasgow City Council bin worker strikes in 2022.

00:27I don't disagree with them striking as long as they've got a valid reason for striking.

00:31Do you remember when the bin strikes happened a few years ago?

00:35I remember it, but I'm only 22,

00:37so it was kind of at that stage where it's kind of not affecting me

00:40and it's not something that I'd probably even really notice.

00:43It was just everywhere, it was a mess, it was chaos,

00:46and the more bins...

00:48the more bags was there, the more people put on top of it.

00:51It was a nightmare.

00:52It does cause chaos, but then if you're a worker and your rights are being...

00:56you don't think your rights are being treated for,

00:58then I suppose you should have a right to strike.
