Transcript
00:00So we're underway then, this is action in the light heavyweight division, our main event of the evening
00:06between Lyndon Arthur, former Commonwealth light heavyweight champion, former IBO world titleist
00:12facing off against the former Commonwealth middleweight champion
00:16Liam Cannonball Cameron, and it's a cagey start to this opening round, Cameron wearing the white
00:22trunks trimmed with red, operating out of center ring, reaching for that formidable backhand that
00:26he possesses, wonderful sharp jab down the middle by the shaven headed figure, wearing the black trunks
00:33trimmed with the green fur and white waistband and bottom of his shorts, that's King Lyndon Arthur,
00:40exchange of jabs there as Cameron finding the range with his own lead left stick.
00:46And you feel the jabs are going to be the important factor of the fight, certainly Lyndon's, whether he can
00:51establish it, you know how good the jab is, if he can establish it and get that rhythm, that almost
00:55hypnotic rhythm to his work, or if Cameron could just stunt that jab so well, could he use that right hand
01:02to walk forward and block it and fire off it.
01:04And then reaching for the right hand, that's the good left hand slung into the body from Cameron.
01:08So no fear of the occasion, or his opponent, beautiful left hand from around the belt line from Lyndon Arthur.
01:17He first walked into the Colliehurst and Mossberg gym, the late great Brian Hughes as he scores with that lead left stick again,
01:22liken that jab, he said you've got a jab like Bob Foster, former light heavyweight great, as Lyndon Arthur scores
01:30with a stab jab to the body once again. Here's another left hand fed in the direction of Cameron, now he's showing
01:35some head movement, trying to avoid that lead left of Lyndon Arthur.
01:40I think Arthur shows a good footwork as well, just a second ago on the ropes and through the jab,
01:44and Cameron came to advance, he just spun off to his right, got back into the centre of the ring again.
01:48There's a trace of blood on the shaven head of Lyndon Arthur, trying to discern where that's coming from,
01:54from our ringslide commentary position here.
01:56Flepping down on the top of the head is Liam Cameron, I think it's from the nose of Liam Cameron,
02:00that's been damaged already by the sharp shooting lead left jab, there it is in evidence once more
02:06from Lyndon Arthur, and remember it was that weapon that was so prominent in his first victory,
02:12in his first contested victory over Anthony Yard, but now he's retreated to the ropes,
02:18inviting pressure, Cameron looking to score to both head and body.
02:22This is where Cameron's got to make use of that, when he gets close, he's got to be affected,
02:26let his hands go, with Arthur it's a beautiful jab going off, but it comes back low,
02:31but he leans back, and he uses that lean back to make you miss,
02:34but if you can get that front foot close, and you can use your right glove to stop that jab.
02:39That's a good lead right hand, he followed up with an uppercut.
02:43And Liam Cameron just greening that gun shield almost contemptuously,
02:47but that was a combination that certainly got his attention.
02:52But Cameron showing his competitive spirit, looking to fire back,
02:55only to run into another lead left jab.
02:57The shot which has damaged the nose of Liam Cameron there,
03:00he's looking for that glancing shot across the abdomen once again.
03:03If you hold your feet, then he starts letting that right tango,
03:06it's a decent first round there from Lyndon Arthur.
03:08Cameron trying to push the pace, but even a bit one dimensional,
03:11he'll have to walk under a few too many shots, and wrong one.
03:14So second round underway, Liam Cameron out to centre ring,
03:19that sharp shooting jab in evidence once again,
03:21first head then body from Lyndon Arthur,
03:24Cameron reaches for a right hand over the top,
03:26Arthur keeping his composure, just disengaging to increase the distance,
03:30turning southpaw on that forward for rage, Liam Cameron,
03:33and he's letting that right hand go freely,
03:35getting it around the left leg of Lyndon Arthur,
03:37Arthur pinned in Cameron's corner,
03:39Cameron looking to go to work, to both head and body.
03:42And he's really putting some weight in these shots,
03:45so I think Cameron, even the body shots there,
03:47he's putting everything like this shot again there from Cameron,
03:49and the uppercuts.
03:50So Cameron, and again testament to his pedigree,
03:53turned point way back in 2009,
03:55and that was after winning the English and Three Nations titles,
03:59both of those amateur successors in the Veston Headguard,
04:02as it was then taking place at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield,
04:06the headquarters of the GB Olympic boxing program,
04:09and it was ringside to see him win that English national title,
04:12it was a vintage year,
04:14with some outstanding boxers playing domestic honours,
04:17and after turning pro in 2009,
04:2124 of the first 25 opponents that he faced have retired,
04:27only Harry Matthews is still going,
04:29and Liam Cameron is sporting three times,
04:32but that's how long ago he turned over,
04:34touted as a star,
04:35and of course running to the problems that we have already highlighted,
04:39but again already accomplished the heights of Commonwealth title success in the middleweight division.
04:45Yeah, he's all got the right idea here,
04:47and the volume of work's gonna,
04:49lock his right hand,
04:51and if you get the volume of work,
04:52you can't throw single shots to your camera,
04:53to go through in combination,
04:55Oh, that's a cracking right hand,
04:58being flushed straight down the pipe,
05:00from Liam Cameron.
05:01Now that one,
05:02Lyndon Arthur was able to defend and block with the glove,
05:05but there's a left hook right uppercut,
05:06and then another left hook,
05:07from Liam Cameron.
05:09Lyndon Arthur turns the table.
05:11Trying to walk him back himself here, Lyndon Arthur.
05:14He likes to stand there,
05:16a good right hand there,
05:17from Arthur.
05:18He likes to sit on the mugs here,
05:19Arthur, but I never really did a fan of it.
05:21And again,
05:22good work with that right hand to the body,
05:24beneath the left,
05:25right left elbow,
05:26of Lyndon Arthur.
05:28A good response here,
05:29from Arthur.
05:33Cameron to right hand,
05:34with a beautiful shot,
05:35catching,
05:36Liam Cameron over his low head left,
05:38as he was coming forwards,
05:39right uppercut,
05:40not too far away,
05:41from Lyndon Arthur,
05:42but Cameron again,
05:44sinking his feet into the canvas,
05:46gripping it with his toes,
05:47and getting some real leverage,
05:48onto his punches.
05:50He's put an awful lot into this round,
05:52here's Liam Cameron.
05:53Just getting on his bike,
05:54and increasing the distance here now.
05:56Ten second clap,
05:57indicating we're in the closing stages,
05:59of his second round.
06:00Cameron has expended an awful lot of energy.
06:03Remember, he's been a long time away,
06:04there he's put an end of a mile,
06:06and he's been right for us.
06:07Oh,
06:08and the box of exchanging,
06:09shot after the bell,
06:10and he's sent Cameron to the canvas.
06:13Round three.
06:14You see,
06:15referee Howard Foster,
06:16calling time.
06:17Now,
06:18what is going to,
06:19transpire here,
06:20let's listen in.
06:24Point going to be deducted.
06:25So,
06:27genetic start,
06:29to the second round,
06:31because of the infringement that occurred,
06:33at the end of the first round,
06:34excuse me,
06:35the third round,
06:36because of the infringement that occurred,
06:38at the end of the second round,
06:40Lyndon Arthur had been doctor point,
06:43for the demonstrably late blow,
06:45which came after the bell had sounded,
06:47to conclude the stanza.
06:48Lead right hand again from the end of the stanza.
06:54Lead right hand again from Liam Cameron.
06:58Lyndon Arthur,
07:01going to work behind straight punches now,
07:03backing up Liam Cameron.
07:07Good tackle save from Arthur.
07:08If he did generally hold Cameron,
07:10then this is an opportunity,
07:11to jump on it.
07:13And that was exploring the extent to which
07:15Liam Cameron was hurt in that jab.
07:17He's snapped out with real purpose and intent here in the second minute of this round.
07:25There it is once again from the chest of Lyndon Arthur.
07:28I like an impressive half there.
07:29He has much more effective.
07:32He plays him on his seat.
07:33He can be negative at times.
07:37Him coming forward here.
07:39He's proactive, he's reactive.
07:40He looks better for us.
07:42There was an exchange of jabs a few moments ago.
07:44And it was Tamman who went tottering back with counter-right hands.
07:47Of the lead variety from Lyndon Arthur.
07:50And this is indeed an aggressive former IPO light heavyweight champion.
07:55Reaching for the right cross is Liam Cameron.
07:57You can see he's having difficulty breathing through that nose.
07:59But he's continuing to press.
08:00And putting shots together in combination fashion.
08:03But blocked effectively by the gloves of Lyndon Arthur.
08:05But he just shows him Cameron.
08:06If he has the energy.
08:08But he throws in bursts and in bunches.
08:11He might miss with two.
08:12But two will land or one will land.
08:14And that's where he's going to get the success.
08:16Single shots is going to get countered.
08:17Open time.
08:18And the nose down is sustained in the opening round.
08:22It's beginning to worsen here in the third.
08:26Oh, that's a tracking left jab.
08:28And again from Lyndon Arthur.
08:29And he's following them.
08:30With one that was altogether more whippy.
08:33I'm just thinking that's like a whip, isn't it?
08:35Indeed.
08:35But as you know, at the end of that break is where all the pain is.
08:42But Liam Cameron.
08:43Boxes his way forwards once again.
08:45Tied up on the new side.
08:47And again that disenable Smith.
08:49He's re-sporting.
08:50And a big shot coming through during that exchange.
08:54For both spots almost simultaneously.
08:56But it's Liam Arthur looking to come out and run with his front foot pressure once again.
09:01And I don't know if I can carry on the back of that exchange that he's underfooted as I can.
09:05But it's after he's pushing fire over here.
09:07Combination punches.
09:09Snaking in between and the rounds and defences of Liam Cameron.
09:12Cameron back to centre in.
09:14Looking to long with his man with the left jab.
09:16Keeping his composure.
09:17But again a jab without reply.
09:20Tagged his man with the shot.
09:21Then made him this.
09:22In a beautiful right hand lead.
09:23Followed by a double jab in between the glass of Liam Cameron.
09:26This is terrific two-way action.
09:28But for my money in this third round.
09:30It's Lyndon Arthur that has got the better of it.
09:32As I said that, Liam Cameron reaching for a roundhouse right to his own.
09:36Three and four.
09:37Round four.
09:40And those men were up off their stalls early.
09:43Teamed to show the other that they are still very much up for the fight.
09:46It's Lyndon Arthur behind a double jab to begin this fourth round.
09:50I would say that I agree with Anthony Farah totally there.
09:54He is just going to cut this.
09:56They'll be competitive here Cameron.
09:57They'll have success with it.
09:59And Lyndon has gears to go through.
10:00But how many times have you said that about Lyndon Arthur?
10:03He has gears to go through.
10:04And he doesn't always go through them.
10:06Left-right success for Liam Cameron.
10:08He momentarily came forward.
10:09Switched to the south.
10:10Four-stands string.
10:13Forward fill-out.
10:14But again.
10:14Beautiful jab from Lyndon Arthur from around his belt line.
10:18That could make it difficult for Cameron to pick up.
10:20But he comes forward.
10:21Jabbing away.
10:22Then scoring with a good right hand to the body.
10:24And again.
10:25He's continuing to punch in bunches.
10:28That's the key there.
10:29He's going to be a little bit lower here Cameron.
10:31Just widen that stance.
10:32I'll bring that front foot forward.
10:33A little more.
10:34Just sit down and reach out.
10:36You want to run.
10:37Fire back.
10:38You want to run.
10:39Get out of here.
10:39I'm going to be close.
10:41He's expounded on the difficulties that Liam Cameron has faced out of the ring.
10:45And he said during this period of sobriety.
10:48He's counter-left hand not too far away.
10:50We made Lyndon Arthur.
10:51He's double left hand from Lyndon Arthur.
10:53Second shot may have been low.
10:55He can get tagged though Cameron.
10:56I thought it was the right hand there from Arthur.
10:59Coming forward.
11:00That's a long shot.
11:01He's been able to snake it through the defences of Liam Cameron with pinpoint accuracy.
11:08And it is such a disruptive shot.
11:10And they don't love to love them shots.
11:12But they really tire you out.
11:14Especially when you hit flush.
11:18And having content.
11:20His addiction.
11:21He said that he thought if he can control that.
11:25He can control and achieve anything.
11:27Here he is back in the boxing ring against former IBO champion.
11:31Nice counter-right hand from Liam Cameron.
11:33But that's counter-right hand.
11:36By a double jab from Lyndon Arthur.
11:38Wonderful educated boxing players who still not places.
11:42Next up on the disengagement from Liam Cameron.
11:45Three's about a right smile from Lyndon Arthur.
11:47Good shot again there from Cameron.
11:49Left hook.
11:50It's so much more effective.
11:51And it takes a combination here.
11:53And it's not good for this.
11:54Right hand lead fell at button left.
11:56Catching Lyndon Arthur.
11:59And this is turning it to a five-fourth affair.
12:03That he's taking on an attritional variety.
12:05Even though we're an attritional quality.
12:07Even though we're only in the fourth round.
12:09Lyndon Arthur back on the jab.
12:11That counter-by Lyndon Arthur.
12:12But then two jabs from Lyndon Arthur.
12:15And when he works behind that lead left stick.
12:18And it really does pile up the points.
12:20And almost neutralized the front foot pressure that Cameron's looking to employ.
12:27He's going to start a pistol with that bit of a jab like he was earlier.
12:30Yeah.
12:30Arthur.
12:33And closing seconds of this round.
12:37Checked right hook attempted off the ropes from the opponent.
12:39And then comes Ford with a three-shot salvo.
12:42Round five.
12:44He's re-moving to the fifth round of what he's proving to be an enthralling light heavyweight encounter.
12:55Lyndon Arthur's jab has been really effective and indeed eye-catching.
13:00Liam Cameron has enjoyed pockets of success as well.
13:03Landing with heavy leather to both head and body.
13:06With attacks from both flanks.
13:07Forward for a once again from Liam Cameron is effective.
13:17There's a little bit more here Cameron like if you've said it.
13:19It's true.
13:20That is a beautiful double jab like that.
13:22And of course Liam Cameron took off left.
13:24And he's been hurt by that.
13:25Now can he run in the store.
13:27Contentiously sticks out his title in that direction of Lyndon Arthur.
13:30But make no mistake that combination success from King Arthur certainly got his attention.
13:35But Liam Cameron using his experience to buy himself some time here.
13:39Disengaging.
13:40Out of range.
13:41Arthur in pursuit and working behind that new left stick.
13:46And the other factor there that Arthur is just really turning down.
13:49Right through that hand.
13:52Break it open.
13:54Really lift the head up with a six.
13:56And it's gone in this fifth round.
13:59Terrific portion of the round enjoyed by Lyndon Arthur.
14:02Just edging backwards now.
14:04Nice lay back to make Liam Cameron miss.
14:06But then the jab from Arthur going over the shoulder of Liam Cameron.
14:10Liam Cameron trying to bob and weave his way back in behind feints.
14:15And if you Howard Foster has to separate the two.
14:18And that's what Arthur needs.
14:18A couple of feints here from Arthur.
14:20Because he's so tensed up here.
14:22Cameron connects with every shot.
14:23If you really throw a feint, he's going to throw from too far out.
14:27But you have him where you want him.
14:28That's good go for Cameron there.
14:31So he's stealing the space with that front foot.
14:35Jabbing into that eye which is swelling.
14:38Good work with Arthur on the road from Liam Cameron.
14:40But Cameron keeping his cool under fire blocking effectively.
14:44Now is that blood from the nose or has a cut been sustained to the forehead of Liam Cameron?
14:48We'll keep an eye on it from our wing snipe commentary position here.
14:51I take what he does out here so effective and he gets away with it.
14:56He uses that forehand and that elbow as a defensive move.
15:02Beautiful jab off the back foot front.
15:04And a straight one-two right down the pipe.
15:07Reaching for a right cross but it goes over Cameron's shoulder.
15:10He took his legs there.
15:11Cameron's knee can change.
15:14Cameron sniffing through that damaged nose once again.
15:17Breathing must be incredibly difficult.
15:19See how he's got that right glove glued to his temple to ward off the left jab.
15:24As though he's answering an old-street telephone.
15:26The man in which he's got his hand up.
15:29And Arthur back onto the front foot.
15:31And when he is aggressive behind that jab.
15:33Just as he will appear.
15:34The second one walk he after the first one is propelled by the defensive.
15:38Just the purchase in the shot is totally different.
15:40There's a totally different effect on Cameron as well.
15:44It's a good jab if I'm going to come out.
15:45I'm so close.
15:46He's far more effective and I think really gets a much better score and comfortable fighter doing it.
15:53So into the second half of this light heavyweight contest that he's scheduled for ten.
15:57Exchange of jabs.
15:58Liam Cameron's appear to be authentic back there.
16:01And look at that for a response from Lincoln.
16:03Arthur blazing speed on the left jab.
16:05Followed by a right hand over the top.
16:07More than the speed.
16:08The rhythm of that was lovely.
16:10The timing was absolutely fantastic there for Arthur.
16:12A little pause before he let the right time go.
16:17Tough for the little time.
16:18It most certainly is.
16:20Those boxes marking up now.
16:22Couldn't let him get him to the bottom body.
16:25And that the right comes from Lincoln.
16:27Yes, it indeed it is.
16:30Round the rear of the head.
16:32The point is deducted from the scorecard of Liam Cameron for rabbit punching around the rear of Lyndon Arthur's head.
16:41Point was dunked from the card of Lyndon Arthur at the end of the second round.
16:46After he landed against Liam Cameron after the belt.
16:50It was a fall to the canvas.
16:51It was made in theatrical from Liam Cameron.
16:53But Howard Foster not interested in his protestations.
16:58Now Liam Cameron's turn fast forward.
17:01Good lift up from Cameron just a second ago there.
17:05Just on the elbow there of Lyndon Arthur.
17:09Now he's back in the orthodox stance.
17:12Coming forward behind high held hands.
17:14As Lyndon Arthur probing with that jab.
17:17Right hand lead not too far away from Cameron.
17:19And Arthur circling clockwise and continuing to feed Cameron.
17:23A steady down of leather with that lead left.
17:26Really.
17:29A real bulletin to the shot.
17:31And hurtful as well.
17:35You can see as well as the nose damage.
17:38The title is beginning to be discolored.
17:40I believe Cameron.
17:42The name of the good right hand.
17:43You know Cameron.
17:44Indeed.
17:45Close the top.
17:46No, no, no.
17:46This is coming out of the wall.
17:49This is a beautiful combination with a fight in the way.
17:52Hands looking beneath behind the left glove of Liam Cameron.
17:56Cameron now adopting the half cover guard.
17:59Missed with the jab.
18:01Arthur looked to counter.
18:04Minute remaining in this six round.
18:10Good start.
18:11Good feet there.
18:12The glove from Cameron.
18:13Left hit.
18:14Spam ball to the right.
18:16Chen dangled in front of Lyndon Arthur effectively and scores to the body.
18:20Lyndon Arthur looking for the counter right hand.
18:22But Cameron coming forward.
18:23They're enjoying a good spell of pressure.
18:25Good defense is right on the ropes from Lyndon Arthur.
18:28But he's inviting pressure in a totally scared position.
18:31Cameron looking to find holes in his defenses.
18:34Strutely the right uppercut was off the mark from Arthur.
18:36The right cross which followed was altogether more accurate.
18:38Right uppercut.
18:39Left hook attempted from Arthur.
18:41The left hook went down to the body.
18:43But neither shot particularly accurate.
18:45The start of the assault there was a nice left hook from Cameron.
18:49I thought they got through.
18:52The burst of punches to the body.
18:55From Liam Cameron.
18:56Closing seconds.
18:57The right hand is crossed.
18:59And then left hook to the body.
19:00Followed by another cross that stares from Liam Cameron.
19:03Arthur counters.
19:04And he's looking to end the round on the front.
19:06This man was built a point for rabbit punching.
19:12I don't know what you saw.
19:14The jabs are starting to roll enough there from Arthur.
19:17He just needs to be a bit busier.
19:21Oh that's a beautiful right hand from Liam Cameron.
19:24But then look at that right hand leading in front.
19:26From Lyndon Arthur.
19:27But Liam Cameron's right cross.
19:30Came behind the jab.
19:31It was almost the case of two punches sounding as one.
19:34But then I go back to what I'm saying earlier.
19:36If he just bends his legs after he throws it in before he threw it.
19:40Just keep changing the height all the time.
19:42Beautiful corks through left hand from Liam Cameron.
19:45Followed by a right cross.
19:47And again, Liam Cameron.
19:49He's having to operate in a high gear to get his six netters.
19:54But he is having six netters.
19:55Right upper attack from Lyndon Arthur.
19:57And if you have the aim to do it, it's got a problem right?
20:00Right cross from Lyndon Arthur.
20:02Just catches Liam Cameron as he's looking to disengage.
20:05Cameron tucking up behind a high held guard.
20:08But Liam Cameron.
20:09Lyndon Arthur.
20:10Through it work.
20:11And he's just going to have the right hook around the corner.
20:14And Lyndon Arthur calmly stalking his man.
20:17Looking to work him down.
20:20Clockwise and counterclockwise.
20:21We've been puffered by Liam Cameron.
20:24There was a right uppercut at the end of the last round.
20:26But I think Cameron felt that a little bit, to be honest.
20:28I'm not sure they're out of the wheelhouse.
20:35So, Nevin Arthur looking to cut off the ring.
20:37Finding his way from the edge of the ring.
20:40Staring to back to cross the ring.
20:41It is Liam Cameron.
20:43He's got up on his toes now.
20:45Moving laterally.
20:46As he's just the most.
20:47Good defence of the blood.
20:48From Lyndon Arthur to repel the incoming shot.
20:51Down to the ground.
20:51Down to the ground.
20:52Down to the ground.
20:52Down to the ground.
20:53Down to the ground.
20:53Down to the ground.
20:54Down to the ground.
20:54Down to the ground.
20:55Down to the ground.
20:56Down to the ground.
20:57Down to the ground.
20:58Down to the ground.
20:59Down to the ground.
21:00Down to the ground.
21:01Down to the ground.
21:02He's been calling for Barry Jones.
21:03And I think it's exacerbated the nose damage.
21:05That has been sustained by Liam Cameron.
21:07And also, you see.
21:08Look, Wayne holds his hands up behind here Cameron.
21:10Now that tight effect.
21:11You don't see that shot coming through the ground.
21:13Some really good.
21:14Classic shot there for Martha.
21:16But more of it he needs.
21:17And there's more of it.
21:18Continuous work.
21:19And Liam Cameron looking to engage.
21:20Harold Foster in conversation.
21:21Clearing two shot combination.
21:22To the defences.
21:23Cameron responds with a good.
21:24Geared attack.
21:25To the body.
21:26Beautiful left jet.
21:27From London.
21:28Arthur runs the game.
21:29Cameron with his feet planted against the ropes.
21:30Before walking his way off the stretch.
21:31Back to centre in.
21:32Yeah, that's where Arthur just got to take a little.
21:33A slight little landing to the right.
21:34Just so he can get that left hook.
21:35Before the left hook.
21:36Run the body there.
21:37He's a split.
21:38And he's a split.
21:39And he's a split.
21:40And he's a split.
21:41And he's a split.
21:42And he's a split.
21:43And he's a split.
21:44And he's a split.
21:45And he's a split.
21:46From the body there.
21:47He's a split up the ropes here now.
21:48Arthur.
21:49And Cameron needs to unload.
21:50A little half step back.
21:51And run to the combination.
21:52Good shot to the body.
21:53With the left and right from.
21:54Liam Cameron looking to keep.
21:55Arthur pinned against the stretch.
21:56Where the punch once again.
21:57Leslie Howard Foster in prime position.
21:58But he allowed the two men to work it out.
21:59On the inside.
22:00Round eight.
22:01Starting to the eighth round then.
22:02Big shot.
22:03We wonder.
22:04How Lyndon Alta would respond.
22:20just to work behind that swift hammer and lead left once again
22:23causing the encounter to back up and just go walkabout
22:27but we wondered how Lyndon Alfa would respond after the diggying highs of
22:32fighting on the grand stage in Saudi Arabia challenging Dimitri Bivol for that world title
22:38of course Dimitri Bivol has got a unification showdown
22:41against Artabeta BF scheduled for later in the year it should have happened already
22:45of course for Artabeta sustaining that lead injury but domestically of course so many operators
22:52in and around the top 10 of the world rankings Willie Hutchinson has just snuck into boxing
22:58users top 10 after his victory over Craig Mitchell's last league by Josh Guadzi
23:03former Lyndon Arthur opponent Anthony Yard of course and Lyndon Arthur proving that he
23:10wants to prove here that he very much belongs in that crop
23:14minute gone in this round is again the nose damage exacerbated once more and
23:19worsened by Lyndon Arthur's sharp shooting Stingal
23:23we'll try to get close here Cameron has an instant right hand
23:27the editor has a bit of success he has to walk off that continuously though
23:31Cameron
23:33and ask for Liam Cameron remember those five years out earlier looking to walk up that off the road
23:37is Lyndon Arthur Cameron looking to tuck up and then counter
23:43left hook almost fell through the gloves and a left hook to the body right up and
23:49left hook to the body right up and left through the middle of the world Cameron
23:50comes Lyndon on through the left hand straight out of the fight
23:52and walked up in between the gloves of Liam Cameron once again
23:59turning into a crimson mask here now but he's continuing to fight through the
24:02discomfort and finding time to engage in a little running conversation with Lyndon Arthur
24:07and he had a good shot and he sort of gave up on it
24:12he gave me some time for Australia so he can culminate under there
24:15and Cameron he looks tired but he's still burning the energy's domain
24:19but he's going in bursts
24:21coming off the target but Lyndon Arthur keeping that right hand active
24:36pushing Liam Cameron back towards the road final 30 seconds of this eighth round
24:41beautiful right hand from Liam Cameron looking to counter was Lyndon Arthur
24:54slapping right hand on the inside from Lyndon Arthur
24:59and again Liam Cameron just engaging and buying time
25:03and it's a hard fought contest this one but you get the sense that these teams fighting men
25:08enjoying every second of it good right hand slung into the body taking place in that red corner
25:18and again both men keen to show the other that they are still
25:23full of ambition and energy as we move into the ninth round
25:29adventure of Liam Cameron's 2009 OBA title success and that's for Lyndon Arthur
25:35he a two-time light heavyweight finalist in 2014 where he lost to GB boxer
25:40Josh Boatty went on to take Olympic bronze is a lovely left jab from Liam Cameron
25:45and he lost to Thomas Whittaker Hart another
25:48GB boxer of course Lyndon Arthur spent plenty of time on the GB program
25:53so testament to the categories of both of these
25:56Young House right not too far away from Lyndon Arthur
25:59and Liam Cameron was talented as such a star after that domestic English success and three nations
26:07title success in 2009 but on Steve Bunce's one-man show up in Nottingham one of his guests
26:13was Andre Durrell good like the hand from Lyndon Arthur burst of punches to the body response from
26:18Liam Cameron so Andre Durrell was one of Steve Bunce's guests on his one-man roadshow up in Nottingham
26:24and the other one was Liam Cameron the newly minted domestic national champion that is how
26:29highly Liam Cameron was rated coming out of the unpaid code in the best in head guard
26:34so Liam Cameron showing immense toughness during the course of the year
26:39and he's looking to go through the gate of the year now
26:43but credit boxing from Liam Cameron to continue to try to respect you to that impression
26:47that's a great response there from Arthur but that was a lovely leaping left hook there from Cameron
26:52and Arthur responded in the right way didn't he lend his hands go
26:55showing he can do it
26:56what do you do more often
26:58so Liam Cameron showing immense toughness during the course of this contest wonderful
27:05jab again from Lyndon Arthur he's shown so much variety so much variance on that particular punch
27:13most jabbing response from Liam Cameron then he makes Lyndon Arthur miss as he was reaching for
27:17the left jab minute remaining in the penultimate round just trying to find a little pockets to attack
27:22isn't he here Cameron don't retreat too much I think in this round trying to get a little clever I understand
27:28that trying to maintain that energy for the last round but he needed to push the pace here I think
27:33the shot for Arthur watching a landing with that right cross Lyndon Arthur again absolutely nothing
27:43wrong with the competitive spirit of Liam Cameron who's squarely put himself back in the domestic shot
27:49window here tonight with this performance pretty few wins it will change his life left right combination
27:55attempted by Lyndon Arthur and left jab got through but the man who is competing and acquitting himself well he's
28:00well he's showing the talent with everything he possess but look at Lyndon Arthur again to look behind his
28:04straight punches
28:06Liam Cameron responding with a style core left now he's back in the orthodox stance closing seconds of this
28:11ninth round a ninth with a round where he spent an awful lot of time on the back foot just looking to follow
28:19two NBA champions winning his title for 2016 in the 10th and final round
28:25what a class that was here providing perspective and co-commentary analysis tonight so into the final
28:38round then of this WBA intercontinental light heavyweight title building Lyndon Arthur coming in eight
28:46ounces over the weight we wondered whether we'd be tight at the weight and whether it would affect his
28:51energy level but who's been a man that has shown terrific conditioning and he's shown greater energy
28:57industry and activity over the preceding few rounds when he's boxing his pace you know Cameron trying to
29:03push the pace but i think you know he said that like as Anthony Paul mentioned earlier he had the first
29:07to get to do it and those last few rounds he's had to be more economical with that pressure and that's a
29:11long bit Arthur to take the pace and he likes to punch a nice smooth slow pace
29:16even if you think of a nice long jump but right hand six there starting off period of effective
29:23combination punching for Liam Cameron and look at that sharp shooting punches through the middle taking some of
29:29the pop often but giving Lyndon Arthur value Lyndon Arthur continuing his front foot for Ray trying to walk down
29:36me on Cameron he's looking for a sneaky right hand now but Lyndon Arthur was hit to it
29:41yeah I never knew it I saw there again coming from the camera just showing that great
29:44he saw the nature he's been good to that you know I don't think he's getting up to win the fight
29:47but he's showing up to I'm getting a really good goal
29:54they're approaching the halfway stage of this final round effective movement laterally off the road from
30:00Liam Cameron
30:01they're looking to again watch a sneaky burst of punches having let his energy levels recover beyond
30:08punching rain
30:09oh that's a beautiful right hand from Lyndon Arthur, Liam Cameron back to that one to get up
30:17and look at Arthur as well he's not let his hands go he's making he's making Cameron work with the feet
30:22and he worked really hard in his last round like to see Arthur's off with no minute to go really could have
30:29put his foot on the pedal
30:2920 runners and again from Lyndon Arthur he was of course then followed by Napata and another right hand
30:36to turn to the left hand that Liam Cameron put out Liam Cameron being forced to circumnavigate the ring
30:42he's hit the long way up on the road to him left hook to the bottom from Lyndon Arthur caught Cameron
30:47who was sliding across the strands in that direction to go let the impact
30:51yeah he's but he's pushed the gut here Cameron he hasn't done much left in the way of energy
30:56you know he's a way of his senses but he's absolutely adjusted to it he's worked so hard
31:01and this is how it's home now to put the turn of the screw
31:04and he's doing exactly that
31:06running away with Walton yes it through it with the left hook
31:09Liam Cameron looking to hook off the ropes counter right hand goes over
31:13no hard left of Liam Cameron once again here's the 10 second clap we're here in Bolton
31:19Liam Cameron inviting pressure near his own red corner
31:23counter right hand goes more from Lyndon Arthur Liam Cameron rings in his dread but I think that's more
31:28Fight fans Ian Bolton please a show of appreciation for both of our professionals in the ring
31:34Liam Cameron and Lyndon Arthur
31:37So after 10 rounds of boxing we go to the judges scorecards at ringside Steve Gray sees the
31:48bout at 95-93 in favour of Liam Cameron
31:58Judge Jesus Marata Garcia has the bout at 95-93 in favour of Lyndon Arthur
32:06and Judge Michel Maxi Uther has the bout scored at 97-91 in favour of the winner by split decision
32:20from Manchester Aben Lyndon King Arthur
32:32let's go
