in Telford Shopping Centre and introduce yourselves ladies. Hi I'm Rowan Richards
00:04
and I run Rock Choir in Shropshire. Cool. And I'm Vicky Mountain and I live in Parkinson's.
00:09
And there's a bit of a special event going to take place very shortly isn't there?
00:13
What's going to be happening? Well we're going to be doing a flash mob in Telford Shopping Centre
00:19
which is supposed to be a surprise. Yeah well yeah that's why we'll just say it nice and quiet here.
00:24
Yeah yeah yeah. But all the singers come out from wherever they're kind of hiding around
00:29
outside the shops and down the corridors and they start the song and then they come out
00:33
singing Mountain by Sam Raider. Awesome and this is all raising money Parkinson's. Raising money,
00:38
raising awareness, Parkinson's. It's normally just an old man's disease. Yeah yeah because people tend
00:44
to think that don't they? Yeah and they think it's all about the tremor. I don't have the tremor.
00:48
Yeah so how old were you when you first started getting symptoms? I was 38 when I first
00:54
started getting symptoms. And what were the first symptoms that you had then? My leg drag when
00:58
I ran. Yeah. I ran for more than 20 minutes. I knew I could run longer. Yeah. But I could drag mine.
01:02
Oh interesting okay. And then from that point to getting diagnosed how long was that? Seven years.
01:08
Seven years? Wow okay so now it's a diet of pills and... It is and I've had deep brain stimulation as well.
01:16
Yeah. Which is really terrible. Oh wow okay. So what's what's what is deep brain stimulation?
01:22
They put two rods in the centre of your brain and then like a pacemaker in your heart. Yeah.
01:28
And it listens to your brain waves and it gives you stimulation. And that's just helped you in
01:33
what way has that helped? It has helped you tremendously. Yeah.
01:37
With pain and stiffness, with slowness and movement, with walking. Yeah.
01:41
I can guarantee you this time I'll still open to being stuck here. No way. Well well done you.
01:47
Well done science. Yeah well done science. Well we look forward to it then I shall go and
01:52
subtly hide somewhere in the background. Right thank you ladies.
01:59
Well done science. Ok but I can't enjoy my dreams.
02:05
I'm so smart, animals that areclapping of you.
02:08
And I'm so embarrassed now.
02:13
So I want you to bear in the background.
02:17
I know I can't control you, Lord.
02:20
I can't increase my pain from burning, so that I'll be dreaming of it.
02:26
I'm snapping my way to the sky, shaking my mother not me
02:31
You, I know you'll resist in, you know
02:36
You, I know you'll resist in, you know
02:42
I love you, I know you'll kyllo
02:46
You're like I don't want you to, you know
02:49
I know I'm holding you on and you know
02:52
I am not ashamed.
02:55
Now, I belong to our heart,
02:57
but I don't know the soul
02:59
But I don't know the soul
03:02
was larger than your time today.
03:15
This is not we shall
03:20
Oh, sweet child, sweet child of mine.
03:28
Oh, sweet child, sweet child of mine.
