00:00Thanks for joining us for a great win today for Port Ferry against Warrnambool.

00:04Fantastic last quarter, how are you feeling?

00:06Yeah good, pretty sore. It was a tough battle to be honest.

00:11We started off real slow and just the momentum kind of shifted their way towards a half-time

00:18even though we were still in front.

00:20But we definitely went back to half-time and just reassessed and said

00:23look lads we can't get on top and so we didn't.

00:27And then we come out four in third and fourth and just played our game which we needed to.

00:32Our team footy was just amazing and it's one of the best I've seen us play for a while.

00:37Who was some of the standout performers for you this year?

00:40Oh look, one of our new lads Jimmy Edmonds was just outstanding coming out from Leopold

00:46and he just did his thing, he's so quick and he's just smart with what he does

00:50and provide us up, I think kick three goals and we would have had about 20 touches.

00:54And then who else? I'd say Cole Harwood, George Swarbrick down back line, Jimmy Wallace.

01:00To be honest, I can mention the entire team, everyone just did their effort

01:04and it was just a good team effort to get the win.

01:07And yourself? Can you tell us a bit about your goals for the year personally

01:10and your role in the team?

01:11Mine's just like we talked at the start and it's just me, just to be a little pressure forward

01:17and just give us some defensive stuff down there, tackle as much as I can.

01:24I also get dangerous when I do get the ball, but I mainly just try to play for the team.

01:29So that's about it. Do my role and then it helps.

01:32What's it like playing with the league leading goal kicker and Jason Rowan?

01:35He's superb. As soon as he comes straight to the league, there's no better bloke to get tips off.

01:42But no, he's outstanding. I don't know how old he is, but he's getting down to the end of the scale.

01:49But he plays like he's almost 23 and he just gives us that lead up

01:54and he'll hit the contest at 100 miles an hour.

01:57For us young guys to just watch those senior players do that,

02:01it makes us want to do that as well. It drives us.

02:04And I almost feel like if they're doing that, we shouldn't give anyways.

02:08So, yeah.

02:09And this club's got massive support behind it.

02:12What are the goals this year and how far do you think you guys can go?

02:15Oh, the crowd, like the club and just its supporters are amazing.

02:19Like, if you come out to, um, we come in after the game all up and about

02:24and the entire, like, room was just flooded.

02:27You could barely move and I don't know how us lads got in a circle or something.

02:31But no, it's just stuff like that is unreal to see.

02:34And I think just the goals for the club is, like, for the last couple of years,

02:37like, football-wise, we don't want to just compete.

02:40We want to get to that final stage and really, like, push finals and get up there.

02:44Because just winning a few games here and there is not good enough for us.

02:48We really need to, um, compete finals and, yeah.

02:51But, um, overall, yeah, that's our goals.
