00:00That's a football player.

00:01It happens to be a kicker, that being Adam Vinatieri.

00:05The guy played quarterback and linebacker in high school as well as a kicker.

00:10He's got a football mentality, and that's why we all loved him.

00:14He was just mentally tough as nails.

00:17That was the guy that you wanted out there when the game was on the line

00:20because he just never got rattled by the moment.

00:24And his kicks were so memorable, obviously.

00:28And there's so much on the line on so many of those kicks that he put through the upright.

00:34So it's not even, to me, a question who deserves to get in this year.

00:39To me, it should be Adam Vinatieri.

00:41And I think it should be Adam Vinatieri when you consider the other person going in,

00:46that being Bill Parcells.

00:47Bill Parcells believed in Adam Vinatieri in 1996.

00:52He was playing for the Admirals, the European League.

00:59Amsterdam Admirals, I believe.

01:00And after that season ended, he basically came to training camp with us.

01:04And it was a competition between him and Matt Barr, who Parcells loved.

01:10Parcells loved Matt Barr.

01:12But he went with the rookie in Adam Vinatieri, and it paid off.

01:18And so it's no question to me that it should be, at least this year, Adam Vinatieri should go in.

01:23Oh, he deserved to be in Canton.

01:25He will be in Canton.

01:26He will be.

01:26Soon, I hope they right that wrong.

01:28Next February as well.
