00:00GB News has obtained an audio recording that seems to confirm the French authorities are

00:06giving migrants life jackets. Yes, and in so doing that, it raises obvious questions about

00:11whether the French are now enabling these small boat crossings. Joining us in the studio is our

00:16very own Home and Security Editor, Mark White. Mark, tell us more. Well, this is an audio

00:22recording that we've obtained. It's basically a conversation between a border force vessel,

00:29the typhoon, and also a French patrol boat. And what it seems to confirm is that the French

00:38are handing out life jackets to the migrants, probably at sea, when they intervene to try

00:45to get these migrants on board these boats to return to France, to get on board the French

00:51ship and return to French waters. Of course, the migrants very rarely do that. But it seems

00:59that they're actually handing out these life jackets to the migrants that don't have

01:05them. Let's just take a listen to that audio recording of the radio transmissions.
