00:00The Taal Basilica in Batangas played unexpected host to a rather bizarre and blasphemous incident

00:05of a spaced-out motorcycle rider driving through and inside the church

00:10to act out a rather weird fantasy belonging to the theater of the absurd.

00:15Eventually, and rightfully so, he ended up in police custody

00:18awaiting the filing of appropriate misdemeanor charges

00:21that our Isaiah Mirafuentes narrates in this report.

00:24From the CCTV footage of Taal Basilica in Batangas,

00:30you can see a man entering while on board his motorcycle with a woman as his back rider.

00:35The video shows that the front light of his motorcycle is still on.

00:39He then continues straight into the church, heading towards the altar.

00:43After stopping the motorcycle, the woman gets off and walks away.

00:47But the man directly goes towards the altar.

00:49In another footage from the CCTV, after getting off the motorcycle,

00:53the man climbs up to the altar.

00:57He then goes to the priest's seat and starts clapping.

01:00Afterward, he lives immediately as if nothing happened.

01:04The CCTV footage caught the attention of the church,

01:07which prompted them to file a complaint with the police.

01:10The man was immediately arrested by the authorities.

01:31According to the suspect,

01:32the woman he was with is his girlfriend.

01:35He also apologized to those who were upset with him,

01:38claiming that he does not use prohibited drugs.

01:40Hindi ako na-gamit eh, pinuturoan ako ng tao,

01:43kung kayo na diniwala sa Diyos.

01:45The police are also looking into whether the man has mental health issues.

01:49The Catholic Church believes that every part of the church

01:51is important and considered sacred.

01:54Yung ipasok mo lang yung motor mo,
