00:11You've been a remarkable friend of the State of Israel.

00:16You are a great, great champion of our lives.

00:17And you actually do the things that you say you do, and I think that people respect that

00:28enormously.

00:29You certainly do, and the people of Israel do, and I think the Jewish people do as well.

00:34We just saw your representative in the Department of Justice fighting anti-Semitism, standing

00:41up for Israel in international forums.

00:43I just want you to know from the heart, it's deeply, deeply appreciated.

00:48As you said, we had the opportunity to talk today about many subjects.

00:52First, if I can mention tariffs, it's a subject of some interest today.

00:58I can tell you that I said to the President a very simple thing.

01:02We will eliminate the trade deficit with the United States.

01:06We intend to do it very quickly.

01:08We think it's the right thing to do.

01:11And we're going to also eliminate trade barriers, a variety of trade barriers that have been

01:16put up unnecessarily.

01:17And I think Israel can serve as a model for many countries who ought to do the same.

01:24I recognize the position of the United States.

01:27It says, you know, we're allowing other countries to put tariffs on us, but we don't put tariffs

01:34on them.

01:35And, you know, I'm a free trade champion, and free trade has to be fair trade.

01:39And I think that's basically the position that you have put forward, Mr. President.

01:44We are going to eliminate the tariffs, and rapidly.

01:48I had the opportunity to speak to Secretary Loebnig yesterday.

01:52We talked about how we could affect this quickly, and I hope to bring a solution very quickly.

01:58We're not talking about intentions, we're not talking about, you know, just words.
